right i had this thought just now while looking for prompts to draw. HABIT and vinnie going grocery shopping, HABIT took him with him yes.

an elderly woman walks past them and says "aww what a cute couple!" habit is. visibly disgusted. surely at what she said.

"god her voice was really annoying" HE DOESN'T DENY IT. vinnie is left questioning everything afterwards.

plotting evilly... would also like to add that HABIT has no idea what humans actually eat since his vessels... don't really need food to survive once he's in them. superhuman, y'know?

spends the entire time buying Reese's and spaghetti-ohs whilst Vin is trying to actually feed himself.

HABIT also tries to steal half of the items.

THIS is the interpretation I was looking for. HABIT is THE biggest asshole for fun. literally the entire purple grabby hand scene with the fast food was just to piss Vinnie off.
