And look. I know Kopi is 6'3" and 225 lbs, which is actually typically Kreider's stats as well (okay I just looked and he's actually 230lbs this season), but he's a big softie lbr. He's not an Ovi. He might lay bigger hits during playoffs but he's a gentleman and a Lady Byng winner and our lord and savior Kopitar is just too gosh darn polite to take the body like that most of the time.

By-By is a child still. He's growing into his body. And he has Kopitar as an example so I'm not holding my breath tbh.

Has anyone read the trade location speculations for Kreider? Like? He's got a 15 NTC, for one. But also he's probably not gonna want to play for a losing team. Some of the teams hockey writers mentioned include Ch*cago, the Fucks, and Buff*lo, like? Why?

Look, Boston makes some sense, even though they're like. Not good at all. But he'd be going home in that case. Teams where he can help playoff runs are likely choices.

And yes, I know that if LA matches against the S*ilers again, they're gonna get swept bc look at their previous playoff loses, lmao, lost in 7, then 6, last year in 5, a sweep is just a natural progression of LITERALLY NEVER LEARNING A GODDAMN LESSON.

But I would live and die for Kreids to go to LA. One of my favorite players on one of my favorite teams? Uh, yes please. He's big, he plays physical, and he stands in front of the net, three things LA has been lacking the past few seasons bc they're soft.

He's also old and might cost too much. So realistically, I don't want LA to screw themselves. But a girl can fucking dream omg.

I love Datsyuk so much. And I'm always kinda shocked when no one is like "Yeah he's my favorite player" but EVERYONE has heard of him and everyone has tried to emulate him.

So like idk if anyone who still follows me will care but if it's something you'd appreciate still, let me know somehow. I never stopped posting about K*ne, but I did use a trigger warning tag so people didn't have to see it. It started around the SA allegations and I've never hid my personal unpopular opinion about that, but out of respect for mutuals who were affected by it, I tagged everything "pkane tw".

I can still do that if it's something anyone appreciates. Bc he's on a team that I root for now. And I never fully stopped posting about him. And his unexpected bromance with Tarasenko gives me so much life and I love it.

I'll likely continue out of habit, but I do plan on slowly just tagging him as his name again like I do for most others.

Honestly, it's shitty Wings fans that kinda pushed me away from the fandom and focus more on the Kings. I LIVE in Michigan. I live by an ECHL team and an hour away from the Griffins and by a pretty decent at times college hockey team, so I am SURROUNDED by hockey people, most of whom are Wings fans. Met some really stupid fans in my lifetime, but no one so fucking brain dead they'd say Feds is overrated.

Feds is my favorite Red Wing of all time. Yes. Over Steve Yzerman. Yes. Over Nick Lidstrom. Dats and Z are tied for second but I grew up in the 90s watching Fedorov. He was my first hockey crush at like 8 years old 🤣🤣. I'd pick him over 99. He could literally play any position and play it well. He was so fun to watch on ice. Like if we're talking realistically all time greats, obviously Gordie Howe is the best Wing of all time and one of the best NHL players in general of all time. Duh. But to say Fedorov is overrated? You're out of your fucking mind lmao. Garbage Wings fan, what a fucking joke.

Any time I watch or read a redraft of the 2005 draft and someone puts Price at two and Kopi at three I KNOW you live on the EC and don't stay up until 1 AM like me to watch hockey out west. In no world, no parallel universe is Price going over Kopi. Someone can still be overrated while also being extremely good and that is literally Price for me. I'd take Quickie over him, any day. I'm also biased too, but you can win a SC with an average goalie. You won't do nearly as well without a franchise centerman. 🤷🏻‍♀️🙃

Okay, so this is actually something that has always fucking bugged me about both the Wings and the Kings and it's truly the most frustrating thing to me, but also I know this is an unpopular opinion as a fan of both teams.

It really grinds my gears how both teams are sooooooo determined that everyone has to be a two-way player. Like. I love a good d as much as every other sloppy bitch around. Defense wins Cups, looking at you C*nada teams.

But if the player's skill set is offensive, why do teams demand they do both, even when they're not fucking good at it. Look, they should learn to clean up their game, yes. But I don't want K*ne on my team to watch him backcheck.

Like cab Fiala take less dumbshit penalties? Uh, duhhhh. But he's no Kopi or Dunno. He scores goals. Just let him score goals. Like idk. Biggest annoyance was watching Detroit do whatever the fuck it was with Mantha.

I fucking love him. I hope he does well everywhere he goes. But Detroit really put his balls in a vise grip when it came to him having to focus on defense first. You got a kid who scored like 60 something fucking goals in juniors and then you demand he play defensive hockey and also wonder why he's not scoring.

So honestly. I fucking HATE that both Tarasenko and K*ner mention defense when talking about Detroit. Frankly, this shouldn't be why you sign players like them. Like can they clean up their game? Sure. Tarasenko is slightly different, he's a bigger body and he's played on the PK before.

But like Coach Q understood what he had with K*ne. He is a hardass defense first coach, but he understood that PK is wasted on the PK. Defense is not where his skill lies and it's not something you want him to have to focus on, it's a waste of his hands.

I'm not saying that they should just ignore defense. I'm just saying that there's nuance.
