Hey yall, I’m taking a little break at the moment. I honestly don’t know when I’ll be back, but I promise I will be. Mai in hanbok🗡

Mai’s hanbok is a jangsam. (Yes it sounds the same as Aang’s monk robes but the word has multiple meanings) This type of clothing is similar to Azula’s soui because this was also worn by noblewomen during early Joseon as ceremonial clothes, and was sometimes also used at weddings. Mai’s has a hyoongbae(square or circle-shaped decoration on the chest. Zuko has a round one in my other drawing)’ which only the queen or princess could wear with their jangsam. I mean she’s already one of the highest-ranking people in the Fire Nation and partner of Zuko who is a prince/firelord so it pretty much fits.

Really do not get the arguments about who the strongest avatar is. Like, the answer is clearly Szeto. Dude canonically worked as court bureaucrat, meaning he not only mastered the four elements but on top of that also administrative law. Administrative law. This is a man to fear.

Thanks! I’ve heard a lot that they’re pretty much all awful. What I’ve seen of the promise supports that lmao. I’m probably going to look at imbalance and the ones set in canon though, because at least they can’t screw up the plot there lol
