It's hard to believe I drew the original piece nearly nine years ago, but you know what's even harder to believe? That I made an amazing friend just over twelve years ago because of this ship!

“Lord Sun and Lady Moon”

With it being the 10th anniversary of Dark Dawn, I wanted to create something to celebrate the occasion, so I made a couple artworks featuring my two favorite ships in the game. (The Stormshipping piece can be found here!)

The idea behind this is: "Where might they be ten years later?"

This is also a redraw of an old art piece I made several years ago, which can be found here! This is a very old WIP I never finished that was just called "Lord Sun and Lady Moon." It was supposed to be a piece of Matt and Sveta dancing after their wedding. I revisited the idea this month, even looking up actual traditional garb they might have worn for such an occasion. This series has inspired me to create stuff for a long time. It's fun to look back and see how much I've improved!

“After the Storm”

This is also a redraw of an old art piece I made several years ago, which can be found here! This time, I've done more research on traditional garb worn China and Thailand to create a much more authentic look for their outfits. I imagine Amiti and Karis are attending peace talks with their neighboring countries and showing off their newly-forged magic weapons. 

It's a lot of fun to revisit old ideas and see how much I've improved my skills!

I’ve always felt like my main Dragonborn, Eira, has this desire in spades. Rather than conquer the world in an obvious way, though, she’s become a ruler of the shadows, queen of the beggars and thieves.

I was also very inspired by the song Natural by Imagine Dragons.

It’s no secret that Felix and Sheba are one of my OTPs, haha.

I was imagining this moment as Sheba tugging Felix out of some deep thought to dance with her. He dwells in dark places sometimes, but he always has her to bring him back into the light. <3

So I got a bit sick mid-way through the month and never caught up on the prompts, but that’s okay! I’ll keep working on them as I find time~ I also have some more personal projects I am working on, so I will keep posting stuff for them as well. :D

(Nanowrimo starts tomorrow, though, so writing takes precedence next month!)
