ANDDD THE REDESIGN IS HERE!!! 

prior to the mood board, I had done some sketches here and there but nothing was sticking. The mood board was what really helped me push her design to something I ended up being happy with! I hope you guys like her new design. Updated info will come with time, I don’t wanna reveal all my surprises~

Guess who gave in and bought clip studio paint...it was on sale and totally worth the buy! This was my first piece I did testing out some of the brushes and features...an Erica draw since she’s been on my mind a lot and I wanted to show her updated Galactica look! It’s not super new as I drew it back during inktober, but I had yet to show a colored version! Also she has a pet bat...cuz all my ocs deserve furry friends.

I had a very strange dream last night that lead into a bit where I lived in some society with sentient(?) trains that were the main mode of transport, but because of their sentience a powerful evil esper known as "the conductor" started mind controlling them to run off the rails

it was actually pretty dark, being kicked off by a train being driven off an unfinished bridge and into a river. I actually came face to face with "the conductor" right before I woke up. I tried to recreate him the best I could. the concept was kind of scary but...also really cool. I was super fascinated by it. It feels like it could be a story, I'd love to explore the concept more. Definitely make some heros, make it a bit more hopeful of a scenario compared to the dream. Still would want to capture the tension and dark tone of the dream a little bit. The Conductor was a foreboding force, he'd be one of my darker villains.

Am i going to make a train story?....i might make a train story.

Uploading these a bit early for my timezone but what the heck, it's already Valentines day somewhere! 

ALTON ADVENTURES VALENTINES!! I wanted to make so many more, but only got the chance to make 3 (curse you class work) this year. Hopefully tho in the future I can make more! I’d honestly love to make physical versions of these, out of felt or something! I illustrated them to look like handmade valentines :3 

I hope everyone has a nice Valentines day! Know there is someone out there that loves you, even if you may think otherwise y’all are wonderful and deserving of love! <3

Rita Ocs but they are the lads from Top Gear. 

I’m a fan of cars as many know. My bf introduced me to Top Gear when we first started talking and we joked recently about “What if the hosts were replaced with Rita ocs? And thus this was born. A bit out of character maybe, but still a super fun quick thing I did! I loved doing the expressions haha. Will I refine this further? Will I make more in the future? Who knows, all I know is I want to make more videos in the future XP

CONTEXT! 

I saw and LOVED Spider-verse…and the second I was out of the movie my brain just went “What if…Smiler-verse” There are so many awesome smiler inspired characters! What if their worlds collided and they interacted with each other? Thus this comic book cover parody was born! I asked on twitter (since a huge chunk of my followers there is smiler fans) if I could feature their smiler characters! This image was incredibly fun, I adore drawing different interpretations of the smiler, and its so great to see this community grow since I’ve joined…it really is something unique and different…and not to get too sappy but it means a lot to me. It’s funny, the Smiler came to me in a pretty scary, stressful, and uncertain time of my life. Since making Mr. S I’ve been genuinely happier, more confident with my art, and I’ve made new friends! I dunno if that’s a coincidence or there really is some Ministry magic at work here.

Gushy stuff aside, credits to those who own the characters in this draw below!

One final note!: I also know this fandom has a LOT of smiler characters, so I will say 2 things 1) If you want your smiler character to be in the smilerverse, YES! they are in the smilerverse! i suppose i came up with this…au? thing? but its pretty much open to anyone who owns a smiler, heck any alton oc! I guess I’ll consider this..an open au…thing. Its for fun! 2) I may do more smilververse stuff in the future and ask for cameos, so if you have a smiler oc you want some art from, look out for that~

🎵 A wave of light and sound 🎵

YAY! First big art thing for 2019. One of my goals it to try and spread my love more evenly across my characters, and really flesh some of them out! Xena is one of my fave designs honestly, and I want to do a lot more with her and draw her a lot more! I also want to draw in this lineless/storybook illustration style more, since I feel it fits my characters well! It’s also SUPER fun and I enjoy using it. Got inspired when I finished the drawing to “animate” it a bit, brings a bit more life to the picture I think! I really want to do more than just “character standing in a white void” this year, so be on the lookout for more fully fleshed out drawings/mini animations like this!!

Got inspired to design a Wickerman Faun by a Wickerman journal my bf sent me for christmas! Meet Wick, a firey spirit believed to be born from a human/deer sacrifice given to the Wickerman. She’s usually mostly chill, despite being a fire spirit. She gets a bit irritated being referred to as a goat, and sparks fly when she's persistently teased about her small size and short height. Really the only other way to provoke her is to attack her. Otherwise she minds her business. Being a wandering spirit, she’s mostly trying to remember her past(s) and her purpose. 

Basically she refers to the Wickerman as her....dad. 

This will probably be the last draw of 2018...of this level of detail. MATTS COMING TOMORROW so I’ll honestly be on hiatus for a few days. With that said everyone have a happy new year! Thanks for a great year in art~

Another Sonic OC! This is one of Hayley’s friends, Aurora the Arctic fox! Cool, calm, and collected, the only thing that fires this fox up is messing with her friends! She’s very much the motherly figure of her friend family, being the oldest and most matured. She came from a family where she looked after her siblings, and her nurturing nature followed to her friend group! I have 2 more characters I plan to design for Hayley’s crew, which I hope to share sometime soon! Very much a squad of heros, they work together to stop evil in its tracks! (They get stuck in the snow)

Despite...having a full on Christmas comic, I still wanted to do a Christmas draw~

I wanted to do something that mimicked a story book illustration kind of vibe, since a lot of my christmas nostalgia is from picture books! Now I’m kind of thinking a full book like this would be cute, maybe someday I’ll make this a full story hehe~ 

And yes...yes Rita is wearing Lightning McQueen pjs. He’s definitely one of her idols.
