sometimes your favorite song is by the idol group you see every time you go to tokyo but they haven't released it to streaming and they're quite obscure (not to mention taping performances is extremely NG in jpop idol culture) so the only time you have a chance of hearing it is when you go watch them perform and it's like not even guaranteed that it'll be on the setlist every time and then you find out it's actually by a disbanded sister group of theirs and they also didn't release it to streaming but they did put it on youtube in a 20 minute long video that features their entire first mini-album except for some reason it's the absolute worst quality vocals you've ever heard on a professional recording as in not the mic quality but the actual singing quality as in it sounds like a group of friends doing karaoke not even professional singers just some friends with no retakes no autotune touchups not even re-recording the lines that are off rhythm but it still means you kinda get to hear the song in your apartment. but is it even really the same song as the one you hear when your favorite member gets the solo in the chorus and walks from the back of the stage out towards the audience between the rest of the members as if parting the sea. is it
#really unrelatable content i'm posting tonight#it's not like actually my favorite song but i'm always like swept off my feet when they perform it#god damn am i homosexual#i have got to get to tokyo. i did say i would be back within september . aaaaaaaa#it was like. march or april? that they just randomly started performing it a lot#and it's funny remembering that my oshi is like. actually a very talented idol and not just someone i stan as a joke#sometimes i go in like aaa haha i uh i'm back! me the foreigner! i guess i'm participating in idol culture#bc i do always do the fanmeet part at the end too where i get to talk to her for like. probably 90 seconds? idk i lose track#and even though i'm a random white girl we've been at this long enough that she talks to me exactly like any other idol fan#and does all the 'you were't looking at any of the other girls were you?' and the 'i'm happy you're back i wish you'd come every day!! :)'#very interesting thing to experience firsthand#but also makes me forget that the main reason i stan so hard is because. she's just a really good idol#like sometimes i get to the venue kinda nervous to be there and then as the live goes on i'm like. ah. of course. i'm here not bc of the#idol-fan relationship validation but because i get to watch this lady perform again and she's so so good#especially that song. i really wish they'd release their own version#i really do love her voice#personal

ah, dungeon food... delicious in dungeon!
1 | 2 | 3 | one out of three dungeon meshi illustrations i did for a class! 🍲🐲
id in alt text | like this art? it's a print, here! | like what i do? support me on ko-fi!
hi there! this is actually the first illustration i finished out of the three but i decided to post the falin one first because it seemed fitting when the dragon episode came out pftt
and since a while has passed, i'm very happy to say that i got a high grade for the mock covers i did! which i'm really happy for since ngl, the venn diagram of "drawings for school that i got a high grade for" and "drawings for school that i'm actually proud of" is very, very small lmao
to save time, i had to forgo coloring in the lines for this drawing which gives it a fair amount of contrast, while i still enjoy looking at it, i wonder what it would look like if i softened it with colored lineart.
i used a different pen for inking this and i was actually surprised at how quick i was! if you don't know, i love doing lineart but i usually am terribly slow at it, inking this one was a pretty fast ordeal!
i streamed this over on the klapollomb server as i was drawing it and i just distinctly remember that after the flats stage and onto shading it: i paused, pen in my hand, looking at the screen with a blank look before i typed into voice chat in all caps, "I FORGOT HOW I RENDER" ASKSKSK
it's been a while since i've actually drawn anything digital that's like, a fullass piece, so yeah 😭 i can forget sometimes. i've been doing trad art for school for like 2 years straight now so the moment i got the opportunity to do digital art i went all out lol

I'm coming at you with the speed of thousand asteroids affectionately and hit you with a "your writing is awesome!"
Also, may I request an Aventurine x The Nameless!reader.
Thank you very much and have a nice day :D
Thank you so much for your kind words and for the request, it was so fun to write <З
Hope you'll enjoy it, have a good day as well 💛
Aventurine x The Nameless!reader
characters - Aventurine
notes - gn!reader, fluff, a bit of hurt/comfort. Once again, no beta. I'm so sorry.
Aventurine
Considering that the Astral Family and it's members are pretty well-known (everyone seems to know at least their names) he has probably heard something about you even before you first met him.
I can imagine your first meeting going like this: he casually approaches you, acting all buddy-buddy, and says something like "ah, mx , who knew I would meet you here of all places <З".
If your first meeting was during the Penacony quest get ready for him calling you "friend" in this sassy voice of his 💀 Yes Aven we all get it you don't have any actual friends calm down
Can imagine him trying to get closer to you by painting your potential partnership as something mutually beneficial. You could use a friend from the IPC, right? And he wouldn't mind having some connections with a "brave and honorable" Nameless. So why don't you join him for a glass of wine, hmmm?
When the two of you will eventually get closer this mf will get clingy af. Yeah I've mentioned it already in my previous post but you being one of the Nameless opens up so many new perspectives.
Visits you on the Express regularly. If he comes when you're not here, he'll wait for as long as he can for you to come back. Sadly, Aventurine is a busy, busy man. So he can't wait for long. Will leave small notes for you tho, to let you know that he was there but you didn't grace him with your presence
If you come back when he's waiting, Aven will play it off as if he himself just got there and didn't have to wait for you at all, saying somethin like "Oh look, here you're! And here I thought I would have to wait for you, haha. Seems like luck is on my side today~"
He doesn't want you to worry, after all. Also. He wants to save some face. Pom-Pom will rat him out anyway.
Speaking of Pom-Pom, they're probably sick of him at this point lol.
Would ask you about your adventures and listen very closely to every story you may want to tell. He can't help but smile softly while listening to you, he just loves seeing the passion in your eyes. Doesn't matter if the story is about you dragging the Trailblazer away from the trash cans in Belobog (or worse - admiring the trash cans with them), he will still look at you with the same adoring smile.
If you ask him what he's been up to during the time you where gone, Aven would simply laugh it off and say that his boring IPC stuff cannot compare with your bizarre adventures so it doesn't even worth mentioning. Reassure him that you don't care if it's boring, you just want to hear about his day regardless of how it went.
Sometimes he can't help but feel jealous. You're free to travel, to do whatever you want. You have this sparkle of excitement in your eyes every time you tell him about your travels. And he has nothing of it. Simply can't have.
He doesn't have any negative feelings towards you, of course. Mostly some bottled up bitterness toward his fate and himself.
He gets a bit lost in his own head every time he starts feeling this way. Please take his hand and invite him to join you during your next adventure. He will laugh softly and tell you "maybe next time, darling". Even if he doesn't know when this "next time" will come the thought of it, of you wanting to share your precious moment with him, fills him with hope.
Adores when you bring him small gifts from the places you've been. It doesn't have to be something big, really. Just the thought that you were thinking of him when the two of you were apart is enough.
Don't forget to send him pictures of yourself!!!! He wants to know how his dearest darling is doing even when they are freezing their ass off in Belobog.
Would sometimes surprise you by showing up on the planet/space ship you're currently staying on. Aventurine rarely can't stay for a long but he cherishes those short moments when he can just walk around and do nothing in particular with you.
Usually when he visits a planet it has something to do with the IPC's business so he only has time to do his job and. Well. Gamble. Maybe buy some new clothes too if he has enough time.
But with you he can actually explore the planet. You bring him to the local restaurants, small tea shops, seemingly small and insignificant places. But it’s places like these that reveal the real beauty of the planet. He slowly learns to appreciate it when you're by his side.

Her
George Russell x fem!reader
Summary: being stood up by your fiancé a week before the wedding is something woman doesn’t want to go through in her life, ever
Warnings: nothing special maybe heartbreak, break up, curse words, cheating, no use of Y/N, one use of L/N
A/N: I really love Sex and the City movies, so this is basically inspired by the events from the first movie. My English is sometimes hot or not, so I’m sorry for any mistakes! Please don’t use my writing without my consent, also I don’t own any of the pictures! Enjoy.
“There’s no possible cancellation, miss. You need to come to the honeymoon vacation or it’ll expire.”
Yes, the word honeymoon. Woman without a man. The man who stood her up week before their wedding. It was all perfect, everything about their love. And yet, here she stood, single, heartbroken and humiliated in front of the suite for newlyweds that carried their names Mr. and Mrs. Russell. Out of all the girls from the grid family, Kelly was the one to be there for her. She packed her up and got her on this vacation, because she already payed a lot for this to be a surprise for George. One that he’d never forget, one with which she’d shown him how she loved him.
For two days straight she only slept. Kelly fed her a little with some fruits and yogurt from breakfast. It was painful to watch her close friend to suffer like this. She looked pale, her face puffy from all the crying, and her gaze was dull.
As the night fell on the resort in Mexico, Kelly picked up her phone, Max was FaceTiming her.
“Hey, babe. How is it going?” He asked with frown.
“Hey, love… please, promise me, that if you ever want to break up with me, don’t you dare to propose to me before that.” Kelly said in sadness.
“How is she?”
“It’s bad. She’s sleeping for second day already. You should see her face when she saw the name tags on the door… it was like a punch in the gut.”
“I’m really glad, that you’re there with her, Kells. She deserves the best. I must’ve restrain myself very hard to not punch George when I saw him at the paddock today.”
“Wait, what? He’s back at racing? I thought that he was supposed to get a break from all that stuff, like he said to her.”
“Don’t say it to her, but… There’s this woman with him here, like a shiny bracelet on him. Lando nearly threw up from the sight of them and everybody here is giving him a silent treatment.”
“Holy shit… this is a nightmare.”
“Yeah… keep her away from socials, she doesn’t need more heartbreak than she already received.”
“No probs, babe. I’ll keep her occupied and her phone is with me anyway and it’s turned off.”
“Okay, I’ll keep you posted. Take care, love you.”
———
Fourth day into vacation she got up from bed, surprising Kelly at the terrace for breakfast.
“Hi, K.” She said, her voice raspy from all the sleep.
“Ah, the sleeping beauty. How are you today, darling?” Kelly hugged her instantly.
“It’s strange, but good. I think the most of the hurt is gone. I know it’s not that simple, but today is good and I’m gonna enjoy it.” She softly smiled but her eyes spoke another story. Kelly gave her a sympathetic look as they talked through the breakfast.
“Max is wishing you well. He’s so worried about you.” Kelly said sipping on her coffee.
“Aw, thanks. He’s a good man, Kelly.” She smiled kindly with little sigh.
“Hey, don’t let your mood flatten, we’re here to have a good time, you’ve worked hard for this. So, we’re gonna make the most of it.” Kelly said with amused smile.
And they did. Girls nights, partying a little, spending afternoons at the pool and beach, some trips around the resort too. Two weeks went by like a click, when they stood at the airport waiting for Max’s private jet.
It was also first time after that weeks of freedom when Kelly gave her her phone back.
“It’s time to go back to reality and I know it’s gonna be hard, but we’re gonna do this. Don’t get those things get to your head. You’re you and you’re the most amazing human in this world.” Kelly reassured her.
She turned on the phone with her stomach churning. Millions of notifications of messages, emails and tags. In the tons of photos at the socials she noticed that one photo, that George posted. She felt like she’s gonna throw up. All the sickness was back, the pain in her chest too.
“Mi amore. Love you to the moon and back.”
George and his new girlfriend. She was so pretty, like a doll. And god, how he was glowing.
As they boarded the plane, Kelly noticed the turn in the her mood as she slipped her phone to her bag.
“I guess you found out, don’t you?” Kelly asked with frown.
“Y-yeah. I don’t know what to say, it’s driving me insane. And he’s back at racing, he just… he’s a fucking liar.” She was at the rage stage.
“It’s gonna be okay. We‘ll manage.”
———
And it was true. Kelly managed to get a people to pack her things out of their shared apartment with George, the first day they went on that vacation. She didn’t want to stay in Monaco, she wanted to go back home to London, where her flat was for rent. She was lucky that it was free in the moment.
Getting from the Heathrow airport was like a blur, feeling all the nostalgia from the surroundings and memories of her past life were everywhere. But it didn’t hurt as much as when she finally unlocked the door to her apartment, getting in the known scent and looking over the boxes there and there. All her life packed like it meant nothing. She was in no mood to start unpacking, because she was afraid to untangle the suppressed emotions. It was a job for her in the next months.
———
It was like six months after the called off wedding. She shut down her socials, getting herself a fresh start with private profiles with a few people following on them. Her main public profile was still up, she didn’t post any new photos, the last post there was a photo of her tasting the sweet cake for wedding with caption wedding vibes #therussells.
She turned her attention to the direction of self love, reconnecting with her old friends in London and little bit of vacations and mainly work. Her going to the Monaco was absolute no go, so when someone from her grid friends wanted to see her, they needed to visit. But they were more than glad. Nobody talked about George, it was her strict rule number one. She practically erased him from her life and mind.
Life just has a strange ways to make things a little crazy.
Sunny morning in London, she went to the café for her morning coffee. She liked to try new places. As she was on the phone working already, she ordered a waited for the cup of hot love.
George sat in the corner of this café, looking through the newspaper like a classic English gentleman. His life turned upside down for the last six months. He was now reminiscing all the things he had done and how he hurt people around him. Brushing another feeling of shame off of him, he looked up from newspaper and his eyes found her standing at the order counter. It was like some nasty dream, ripping his heart apart for another time. She stood there, talking over phone, smiling with her classy appearance. Thinking about the way he wanted to approach her, he tried not to look suspicious. He was the one, who made her life hell, betrayed her the worst.
She slid her phone to her purse, got her coffee and turned around to get out of the café, when she spotted George already staring at her. She was so taken aback by seeing him, that she bumped into the glass door. Hard. Feeling her head spinning and the blood running from her nose, coffee was everywhere on her skirt. People around her was at her immediately, helping her, but she was in some kind of trance.
“Excuse me, please. I need to get to her. Hey, are you okay?” George got through the crowd to her, his protective persona on, getting his white napkin to wipe her bloody nose.
“I-I’m not…” she said still in shock.
“I’m going to take you to the hospital, you may have broken nose.” George frowned in guilt because his presence caused this.
She only nodded, there was no place for denying it. George gave her reassuring squeeze to her shoulder and guided her to his car, which was parked outside on the street. Feeling his hand on her back and on her arm felt strange.
Ride to the hospital was quiet. She held the napkin at her nose, blood was slowly stopping pouring, and she was staring in front of herself, still processing what just happened. She felt her anger rising in her, how dare he shows in her life now, when she’s been on the good way of healing her wounds.
“Why are you here?” She mumbled slightly wincing in pain.
“There’s race in Silverstone this weekend.” He said taking the last turn to parking lot at the hospital. As he stopped the car, she put all her strength to get out from the car without his help.
“You can go, I’m gonna take care of myself.” She took quick steps towards the hospital.
“Wait! I’m not gonna let you handle this alone. I caused this, so let me take care of it.” He ran after her, softly grabbing her arm.
“At least please just don’t touch me, George.” She got out of his grasp still walking.
They were waiting for doctor to see her, while George wrote down the application for her. He stopped at the column about family status. Flagging it as married, he hoped that he would get access to information about her condition. She just signed it off not caring about anything. Her phone rang, it was Kelly. Oh god, they were supposed to meet today.
“Hi, Kells. I really can’t talk right now.” She tried to talk coherently but her lips started to get swollen from the crashing to the door.
“You sound weird, are you okay?” Kelly asked in concern.
“Yeah, I just bumped into the door at the café, hard, that I might have broken nose. I’m currently at the hospital.” She sniffled a little blood.
“What?! I’m getting there, we’re already in London!”
“No, no! Actually I’m not here alone.” She looked up at George.
“You’re full of surprises, girl. Is that the new man, you’re seeing?”
“No, it’s not him. It’s George.”
George was listening to her conversation and pinpointed the word him. Is she seeing someone new? Is she in love with him?
“Holy shit, what the fuck?!”
“Calm down, K. I can’t talk right now, all you need to know, that I’m okay. I’m gonna text you, bye.”
She sighed putting her phone to her purse.
The awkward silence between them lasted for a while.
“Is there- are you-“ he started to ask but it came out as a blurt.
“I’m not seeing anyone, if that’s what you want to ask. I’m just tired of questions if I’m still single, so I said to my friends that I’m working on my dating life. So no. I can’t love anyone after what you’ve done to me and you have this sick luck of hurting me still.” She said with sad sigh.
“I’m sorry.” He said plainly.
That was words she wanted to hear from him all this time. She met his gaze full of guilt.
“I’m so so sorry. I was just stupid and foolish, I really didn’t care about things I had around me, in my life. I was so ungrateful. And I hurt the most precious thing in my life. You. No words can mend the wounds I caused. I just want to make it up to you, so bad.” His eyes was glistening with tears as he talked sincerely.
She processed all the words he just said. Her heart broke again, but now for him. For the way how he talked, how he was honest. After that months of silence between them and his lies from the last conversation they had together.
“I forgave you. A while ago. I just didn’t understand those lies you told me. About you taking a break from everything we shared together, that it drowned you. And then I saw that post on the socials, you back at track with her.”
George felt pang in his chest, he was deeply ashamed of his actions. Before he could say anything else, nurse peeked from the doctors office calling her inside. She stood up and George assisted her.
“You’re her husband right? You can come inside too.” Nurse politely smiled.
She wanted to protest but George interrupted her. “Yeah, I am. Thank you.”
After getting some scans and check up, doctor said, that she doesn’t have broken nose, just little bruised and that in few days the swelling would be gone same as bleeding.
George took her to her apartment, helping her with everything she needed. Sitting on the couch with cup of coffee in her hands, he was in process of putting the cream on the bruise on her nose. She sat still her eyes closed. He took in her features, how she was still herself. The same woman he loved, and still loves.
“You’re supposed to be with her, not with your ex fiancée.” She said while opening her eyes to look at him.
“I’m not with her for some time now. As much as it was mesmerising, it wasn’t it. I had time to think about my mistakes. I was the number one asshole.”
“You were, that’s for sure. I was so mad at you, angry and pissed off. You just threw our lives we built together out of the window. We could’ve talk about that, I would understand anything. But not that huge heartbreak you put me through. I had a surprise honeymoon booked for you. And I went on it with Kelly, because it cost really so much money…” her eyes were filled with tears as she relived the memories of pain.
George looked down in shame, he was pained by his actions towards her. She truly loved him, deeply, she was always so caring and he was… him.
“I’m sorry. I should’ve talk to you more, not just tear you from me and destroy our life.”
Their conversation was interrupted by doorbell.
“That’s most likely Kelly and Max.” Grace said. George retreated from her as she stood up to get to the door. As she opened, Kelly hugged her immediately and Max looked through the space for George with mad look.
“How are you, love?” Kelly looked at her nose with frown.
“I’m good, Kells, really. George took care of me.” She softly smiled.
“Really? No doubt that he did.” Max looked with narrowed look at George, who stood in the doorframe to living room.
“I’m on my way out, I see that she’s in good hands.” George said plainly.
“In the best hands.” Kelly said with not amused look.
She sighed tired from all the tension.
“Take care.” George kissed her forehead lightly as he brushed off around them.
All three of them were looking at his figure until he disappeared in the elevator.
“How- what the actual fuck?” Kelly asked looking at her flushed face.
“Kells, please.” Max groaned at the word fuck.
She took them inside as she prepared some coffee for them.
“How was your flight?” She asked casually.
The duo looked at her in disbelief. “You just had your ex in your home and you’re asking us about flight?”
“Yeah and yeah?”
“Tell us everything!”
She sat in front of them in the armchair. “I was at the café this morning, you know, I like to try new places and he just happened to be there. I spotted him and I was so in shock, that I crashed to the glass door. He got me to the hospital, took care of everything. And he apologised for everything he put me through. He said that he was number one asshole.”
Max snorted as Kelly looked over him with stern look.
“And then you came and that’s it.”
“He kissed you. You’re okay with that?” Kelly asked sipping on her coffee.
“Why not?”
“Because he practically left you at the altar?”
“Oh that. I nearly forgot about that.” She gave her an sarcastic smile.
“You’re falling for his lies again.”
“No, I’m not. We just talked, he was nice. I deserved to know, what was on his mind and behind his actions. I can move on now.”
“Can you?”
The question was hanging in the space. She was sure, to this day, that she wouldn’t even lay her eyes on him. But it was all nice and she felt loved again. All the wrong things.
“Can you?” Kelly asked again.
“Fine! I don’t know!” She rolled her eyes.
“You’re unbelievable. He broke your heart, you were a mess. And now he’s messing with you again.”
“I know, I know all that. And I’m grateful for the care you have for me. But… it’s complicated.”
“It’s not. You love him.” Max interrupted them. Kelly gave him another look of disbelief.
“I’m not sure, I don’t know. I’m not ready for anything but it feels so close to home.”
“Jeez… just be careful. Anyway, it’s perfect timing really, because we wanted to get you to spent a weekend at Silverstone with us.” Kelly said with sour face, now her idea sounding not so perfect.
“I need to think about it. And I don’t know how this thing will turn out to appear.” She pointed to her bruised nose.
“You know the power of makeup, dear.” Kelly rolled her eyes.
“As much as I like you here with me I need some space right now.” She said with sigh.
“Just think about it and give me a call and we’ll manage it. You could use some fun around old friends.” Kelly said while she hugged her.
Max gave her reassuring smile as they walked into the elevator.
———
She took a shower as she thought about George. How his fingertips felt against her skin, his scent calming her down, how he looked at her with care and love, he was completely different. He looked like he was ready to die for her.
Then there was the other side. How she felt humiliated when he left her at the restaurant in Monaco with smile, ready for his new life.
How the ring on her left hand was somehow heavy.
Thoughts there and there, she needed to be honest with herself.
She loved him. Still. And truly. Even after all of this.
As she laid in bed scrolling through her phone, she got a call from unknown number.
“I have a package for you, is this Ms. L/N ?”
“Yes, that’s me.”
She went down to receive the mystery package. Back at the apartment, she opened it. There was VIP and paddock pass with her name, also she spotted a sticky note with handwriting.
“Just in case you want to have fun on the weekend. GR”
Her heart skipped a beat as she read those words. Snapping a photo of it she sent it to Kelly with comment I think the plans are clear for the weekend. Kelly answered with crazy emojis and comment I can’t wait.
She decided not to tell George that she’s actually coming, because he deserved a little silent treatment. He’s gonna need to win her heart back.
As the Saturday approached, she was already on her way to the paddock gates. The first she spotted her was Lando.
“Oh my god! Am I dreaming?” He nearly shouted as he hugged her tight.
She giggled happily. “No, this is real.”
Greeting with others went well as she arrived at the Mercedes hospitality, her stomach churning and turning in nervous way, reliving all the memories she had there. She got to chat with some people, which were surprised that she’s there. Nobody had the courage to ask her, why she’s there and she was glad.
Grabbing some coffee she stood outside on the little terrace looking at the Silverstone track. It was like coming back to home.
“You came.” The voice said behind her causing her to turn around. There stood George, wearing his Mercedes shirt and white pants along with kind smile.
“I thought that you not being sure if I’d come, would be a good treatment for you.” She sipped her coffee with a little smile.
“I absolutely deserve that.” He said coming to her side.
“I’m sorry about yesterday. Kelly and Max were there for me for all that shit you put me through. They’re worried.”
“I understand that. They’re really good friends. I’m grateful that they helped you through tough times.”
“I thought I’d never see this again.” She looked over the track.
“I thought I’d never see you here again.”
“I don’t want to poke in that hurtful things from past anymore. If anything, I want things from fresh start.”
“Again, I’m sorry. And I understand.”
“You know, it’s not like winning race to win my heart.”
“I’d likely do both.”
“We’ll see.”
She chuckled as she was enjoying messing with him.
“Good luck.” She smiled softly giving his arm a little squeeze as she walked out to find Kelly.
———
George got the pole position and she couldn’t be more proud. She fought that huge smile on her face as she noticed, how Kelly was watching her. Max took a second place.
She leaned against the frame of the entrance to the Mercedes garage, where George celebrated with everybody around him. Then he noticed her standing there and smiling proudly. Immediately he walked towards her getting her into his tight embrace while she giggled.
“You’re incredible, George.” She said laughing.
“You’re my lucky charm.” He said as he placed kiss to her hair. His embrace was warm and soft. All she missed that long.
“Please, just don’t let me go.” She whispered to his chest.
“I’m not gonna make that mistake ever again.”

Okay about that Rolan thought where he is mean to himself as he masterbaits is just *chefs kiss*
What if Tav hears him? Like he’s in the back and she walks past the door and hears clapping? So she leans her ear to the door and hears him…
“So…ah-fucking pathetic…mhmm thinking about….her ahh snug cunt.”
Rolan’s knuckles are white as he strokes himself faster and faster… then he hears a slight whine.
Your ear is pressed to the door as your thighs squeeze together trying to ease the ache in your ruined panties… then Rolan sets himself back in his pants and opens the door but when he opens the door he sees, nothing? He doesn’t know that you’re just around the corner with your heart racing out for your chest and the plans to check that closet every day now.
(i was gonna link the post you mentioned but i cant fuckin FIND it hghg) EDIT: FOUND IT!!
Hope you don't mind that I wrote this, as soon as I saw it I was a MESS and had to share some more solid thoughts hghghg
~~~
'Caught?'
Rolan/femcis!Reader !NSFW!
__
When the last customer of the day leaves and you hear the magical mechanism lock the front doors, you finally let yourself deflate out of customer service mode.
“I don’t think that man was an adventurer.” You say, leaning comfortably on the front desk.
Rolan is crouched down under the counter, taking inventory of the scrolls beside you. He doesn’t look up from his task as he answers. “It’s not just adventurers that shop here.”
“Yes, but he bought a Scroll of Enlarge. What in the world would he need that for?”
“It’s not our job to know.” The tip of Rolan’s quill dances over the furled ends of a scroll. “...Perhaps he wants to clean some high shelves in his home.”
“65 gold to clean some shelves? I doubt it.”
You can see Rolan’s attention to his task waning as he settles more comfortably on his knees beside you, “Alright, so what’s your theory?”
“My theory?” You ponder for a second before the obvious presents itself. “Probably a sex thing.”
“Wh– a sex…thing?” Rolan sputters before waving his quill in front of himself, “What sort of nonsense are you talking?”
You’re shocked at just how flustered Rolan seems all of a sudden. You wonder just how more flustered he can get.
“It’s not nonsense, though.” You lean against the counter, looking out across the shop floor as you speak in a confidential low tone, “Your partner would be able to really toss you around like that. And I mean, the size aspect, of course…”
Rolan says nothing, and from the corner of your eye he seems almost like a statue, completely unmoving. You’re tempted to take a better look, but resist as you continue.
“Really though, I bet most of your customers are actually perverts. Why else would Scrolls of Grease and Dominate Person be our biggest sellers?”
“Alright,” Rolan says, voice on the brink of exasperation, “I get Dominate Person, sure, but Grease?”
“Think about it. Oiling up your partner from head to toe. Everything being all slick and wet and well… greasy.”
Rolan scoffs, “But the mess.”
“It’s magical lubricant,” You retort easily, “It dissipates after a while. Easy cleanup.” You take the side of your leg and bump him with it playfully, “Besides, sometimes the mess is part of the fun. Come on, you’ve had to have thought about it before.”
“Enough.” Rolan stands and straightens his robes brusquely, “This is inappropriate talk for work.”
You want to point out that he’s the one that encouraged you, but you can see annoyance written all across his flushed face, and you don’t want to push it into a full-blown bad mood. You’re not really sure what flipped his switch so suddenly, but Rolan’s moods can be fickle like that sometimes. You’ve learned that it’s best to just distance yourself and don’t question it, lest you get a chewing out. With how well you both get along, it’s sometimes easy to forget that he’s your boss, and you’re his employee.
He turns quickly on his heel and makes for the back of the store, mumbling something about taking inventory in the store room, leaving you alone to close up shop for the day.
You go about straightening up, smiling at Tolna as she waves a silent goodbye and leaves. Luckily for you, today was a fairly calm one. There’s no mysterious goop to clean from the floors or fire-singed books to pull for repairs.
As you move back behind the front desk to wipe down the counter, you notice a piece of parchment on the ground, near where you were previously standing. You pick it up and realize that it’s Rolan’s inventory list. It’s odd that he hasn’t come back to retrieve it.
You brush it off and begin making your way to the storage room, already imagining Rolan standing along one of the shelves, nose in some tome and his task completely forgotten.
But right as your hand touches the handle, you hear the faint whisper of Rolan’s voice. Is he talking to himself as he works? Or maybe he’s reading something out loud. It’s nearly indiscernible through the thick wood, and before you can think better of it, you find yourself pressing your ear against the door.
“....pathetic…fucking pathetic...”
His voice sounds tight and breathless and very pissed off. Did you really anger him that much? And is he calling you pathetic? It feels like a slap across the face– because to be fair, you were being pathetic, trying to get a rise out of him in some backwards, stupid way of flirting.
Your mind is already twisting around, trying to nurse at your wounded pride as you take a step back, but then you hear something that makes your entire body freeze.
“She doesn’t f-fucking want you–” His scathing words break off into a low moan and you can hear the faintest wet sound, a fast, repetitive ‘shlickshlickshlick’ that gets drowned out as he continues in the same hushed, angry tone, “You’re worthless, just a, ahh- a worthless fucking pervert.”
The crash of arousal that hits you is nearly debilitating, but there’s a thread of pity that doesn’t let you fully indulge in the feeling. Rolan is on the other side of the door, masturbating and berating himself. It could just be a kink for him, but the way he’s hissing the words makes it seem like he’s punishing himself, like he’s saying them to keep from enjoying himself entirely. Is it because you’re his employee? Is it because he thinks he’s not good enough for you?
You tell yourself not to be presumptuous. Maybe it’s not even about you. But at the same time, who the hell else could he be talking about? And after the chat you both had…did your playful teasing really rile him up to such an extent?
Gods, what would he do if he knew you were listening to him? That your cunt was throbbing at the sounds of him stroking himself, that each of his breathy, desperate moans made you clench uselessly around nothing? What would he do if you opened the door? If you caught him with those long, pretty fingers wrapped around his hard cock?
The thought is tempting, intoxicating…but even in your lust-muddied mind, you know you can’t. Rolan is sensitive, and a blow to his self image like that would be something you’re not sure you could reassure him out of. Especially with the cruel words he’s muttering to himself…it’s clear he has a fair share of sexual hang-ups.
You press your thighs together and lean harder against the door, hungry to pick up on every minute sound. The wet noise is quicker now, almost manic, and his breathing is harsh. Rolan is getting close– the thought is so mind-numbingly erotic that your hips roll against the door in time with his small, overwhelmed whimpers.
“Fuck, f-fuck—” He pants out, voice teetering on distress.
You wonder where he’s going to cum. In his hand? A handkerchief? Does he even have a plan for what he’s going to do? If only you were in there with him, you’d stick out your tongue for him and take every hot, thick shot in your mouth.
As exciting as your sordid thoughts are, it’s nothing compared to the sound of your name– one you’ve heard so many times from him, usually from across the store, oftentimes distracted, sometimes annoyed– but this time, it’s a desperate plea. He says it like it’s the sweetest word he knows, like the mere forming of it in his mouth is a deep, aching relief.
You groan despite yourself, and realize your error almost immediately. Rolan goes deathly silent in the storeroom, and even though you’re in a drunken daze, you jerk away from the door.
Son of a bitch. Son a bitch!
It’s your turn to berate yourself as you speed walk to the other side of the store, cheeks on fire and heart thundering so hard in your chest that you’re surprised it doesn’t break a rib.
Did he hear you? Does he know you were eavesdropping?
You reach the counter and immediately start fussing with a stack of pamphlets as your thoughts flit ceaselessly.
When you hear the door to the store room open, you fight the urge to stiffen and instead continue to make yourself look busy, your breath held as you hear the soft tapping of Rolan’s shoes against the tiled floor.
They seem to head in your direction, then stop. A few beats of silence, then they veer to the left, seeming to head towards the tome counter.
You wait a few moments before daring to take a look. Rolan’s back is turned away from you, the end of his quill dancing over the edges of the books as he continues to take inventory, like nothing happened.
Oh yeah, the inventory list! It’s only then that you realize that it’s no longer in your hands. You whip around, looking around your feet, then along the path to the store room.
You don’t see it.
You turn back to Rolan just as he jots something down on a piece of parchment. It’s a little hard to see from this distance, but you’re almost certain that it’s the same one as before.
Even if there’s no solid proof that he knows you were peeping, the horrified screaming in your head doesn’t relent.
University complaining, feat Ratchet
A/N: I’ve got a lot of school stuff going on right now and for the next two weeks, but I wanted to post something, so you can read about the reader complaining to Ratchet about how uni sucks
“Hey Ratch?” you called from the couch.
“What is it?” he asked, turning to look at you, instead of his computer screen.
“Do you want to write my last two essays for me? I’ve done so many assignments in the last month that I feel like if I write one more word, I’m gonna explode” you groaned.
“I would like to help you, but I’m not really knowledgeable about your area of study. Besides, you’re the one who’s supposed to be learning the things you need in order to write those essays” Ratchet stated.
“I know, I know, but you can’t fault me for trying. The end of the semester is always super busy and I’m getting annoyed with the amount of exams and assignments” you sighed tiredly.
“You need to remember to rest too. You should take a break”
“I can’t, I have an exam tomorrow, and I need to finish this book for it” you said, raising your tablet you had the ebook on.
“You can take a half an hour break, it’s the late afternoon and you’ve been reading since you got here in the morning. You won’t retain information as well when you’re getting tired"
"I’m not even that tired, I’m more annoyed, and hungry, and my eyes kind of hurt…” you trailed off. “I see your point”
“Good, then you’re going to take a break?” Ratchet inquired.
“On one condition. You’re going to take a break too, you’ve been working since before I even came here, so you definitely need one” you noted.
Ratchet knew you had a hard time taking breaks, and you wanted to just push through it when you had to do something. So he always conceded when you made him take a break too, since that got you to take one too. You also sometimes seemed to forget that you needed to eat and drink. Or that you shouldn’t stare at screens for so long continuously.
“Fine” he rolled his optics.
“Good, now that we’re in agreement, can you take me to get some food? I’m starving”
“Of course” Ratchet smiled.
“Ah, that smile’s gonna keep me going for the rest of the day” you smirked. “And the food is gonna help with that too”
Ratchet rolled his optics with a scoff, but you could see his smile widening. The old bot wasn’t nearly as grumpy as you had thought when you’d first met him. It had been a couple of years since you and the autobots first crossed paths, but it felt like that time had gone by in the blink of an eye. You were finishing your second full year of university, and the decepticon’s activity had been on the quieter side for a few weeks now. You hoped that it would continue that way, because you would still rather be writing essays than trying to dodge decepticons. Getting to spend time with Ratchet was a bonus for hanging around the base. It was also easier for you to get your assignments done, when you had company. You could both just work on your own stuff, while still being together. It was nice. You just hoped the peaceful quiet would continue.
I hate to pull this card but
Pulls out a deck of cards from various sources and draws the tarot card, The Tower.
Oops. Wrong card.
Draws the Cards Against Humanity card reading “A hummingbird drinking nectar out of my urethra”.
I do hate to pull that card too but it wasn’t what I was looking for- ah! Here it is!
Draws a card reading “If this post can get 5000 notes within the next week I will continue writing my terrible, stupid book”.
Btw part two is in the reblogs of this post.
Preview under the cut.
Prologue
You might have heard the urban legend. It goes like this; someone is walking along a street. They’re always pretty much alone, perhaps with the exception of maybe a pet dog, a conveniently non-verbal companion, when they hear sounds of a pretty intense struggle in an alley. So they go to check it out, but nobody is ever there.
Although sometimes, there’s a little pool of blood or a few feathers.
Mostly this is dismissed as a hallucination, or birds fighting, but the amount of blood and the size of the feathers makes it hard to believe.
And the voices. Most people report hearing arguing. But wherever in the world the story takes place, nobody can understand the language spoken by the fighters. The reports are fairly consistent. The language is described as “mellifluous” and “ethereal”, and there are always multiple people speaking it. Or at least shouting in it, but it is generally agreed upon that they are angry.
But there is always another voice, speaking a different, but still incomprehensible, language. He, for in the stories it’s always a he, sounds defiant and cocky, speaking in a harsher, less musical tongue, unless, of course, you count black metal. Some especially astute listeners have picked up words and sentences used by the lone, defiant individual and the angry group, coming to the conclusion that they seem to be speaking different dialects of the same language.
And another thing; birds don’t generally use weapons. One witness said that they heard what sounded like a fencing match or duel before they turned the corner.
There are so many witnesses that they should probably make a discord server.
Now we come to the theories. We have the rational explanation as mentioned previously; birds.
We have the “Time travelling fight club” theory.
We have the “That one alien spaceship where they keep having to get out because that one alien speaking another dialect keeps picking fights and they always threaten to maroon him on Earth but they never do” theory.
There’s the “Mothman vs other Mothman” theory and the “Crazy global cult who’s leader travels from place to place to perform blood sacrifices” theory, and let’s not forget the “Magical mutant cock-fighting ring gone wrong” theory, but one theory stands above all the rest.
The most well known, and probably the most ridiculous, theory is the “Demon repeatedly getting jumped by angels” theory.
But it’s all just a conspiracy theory. An urban legend. A joke.
Until the day Amelia Butler found the devil bleeding out in an alley.
you said thoughts on gp!reader?? pls… no one writes enough of it on here, i feel like the subbiest idols in my humble opinion get written as doms sometimes. totally get the appeal but i need a little sprinkle of dom reader for us wlw switches </3
like i feel like yunjin would ride a strap like crazy idk 😵💫
(Oh no you’re so real because did you see that video of her at the airport with this outfit? she was moving her hips and Omg)
I just know that woman can ride you insanely good. Whether is g!p or your strap, she’s gonna move like you can really feel it lol. Yun is so into pleasuring her partner that’s why. She’s gonna make sure to give you a show when riding you. Of course it only gets better once she’s closer to her orgasm. She goes “oh my god oh my god oh my god…” while grabbing your shoulders, fucking herself on your cock fast as you helped her, grabbing her hips and impaling her on your length like she doesn’t need to ever walk again.
Yunjin switches from sobbing to giggling, when you hit the right spot inside her, her eyes rolling to the back of her head with her mouth open. “Fuck yes, right thereee…” she says in between trembling giggles and you know your girl is losing it (in the good way).
She’s so into teasing you in public, she’d be talking about something she’s genuinely passionate about (you know how Jen gets really into the subjects) with somebody and her hand would “accidentally” go too high up your thigh, brushing your member, and you have to pretend nothing happened. Of course she compensates you, taking you somewhere private and giving you a handjob while she focus on your face with that pretty Fuckin smile of hers, loving knowing she’s the one who makes you feel this good, who knows your body this good.
Babygirl is loud by nature, I’m not saying she can’t keep quiet, but what’s the fun on that? That’s why even if you tease each other, you prefer to actually keep it inside your room and when nobody else is at the dorm. Of course your friends know when you’re gonna get it ‘cause you act a little extra excited about spending alone time with your girlfriend. Running downstairs almost tripping as you say your goodbyes to the other girls.
“Good luck on your activities today, have fun guys. We love youuu” Yunjin said hugging Manchae as everybody was on their way out.
“And call us when you’re on your way home!” You reminded them, and prayed they don’t forget that ‘cause you weren’t planning on getting caught making Yunjin moan and scream and-
“Don’t worry, we will, byeee!” Sakura said, looking at you suspiciously as she took the other girls out of the dorm.
“Come here, babygirl.” You said, pushing the tall girl against the door, kissing her and getting between her legs, feeling her giggle against your lips as she started undoing your shirt. But…
“Don’t take your clothes off yet, open the door.” You heard Chaewon said from outside, and you quickly separated, letting the girl enter the place again. “Just making sure, NO fucking on the couch.” You gasped, both of you blushing as being read so easily.
“Unnie! What makes you think we’re-“ you tried acting offended but please bro that’s your friend.
“Ah-Ah! No fucking on the couch I said!”
“Yunjin unnie is getting it, isn’t she?” Eunchae asked her older sister, while they were looking at the front, waiting for their leader to come back.
“I am not having this talk with you, kid.” Sakura said, with an unbothered face.
A little short I know sorry- I might update it a bit eventually! Once I’m happy with it I’ll take this little note out but for now I think this is good enough to post it lol
note : IM HAVING A HARD TIME THINKING OF A TITLE. I FINISHED THIS SEVERAL DAYS AGO BUT I JUST COULDN'T POST IT.. i gave up on thinking & this is my fourth req yippe ! i also love ending my fics with them dating yayaya
꒰ masterlist 𖦹 wbk masterlist ꒱
whenever somebody asks you that you and sugishita are related they'll look at you as if you were lying. matter of fact, you weren’t lying. you get it, if you were that person asking someone if they were related then proceed to doubt because they don’t look like the same person? yeah, you will question it.
you and sugishita are polar opposites of each other. he’s not the brightest nor talkative but you on the other hand is the opposite of him. the only thing you both have in common is apperance only.
“ kyo, don’t forget your phone again! ” you shouted from the kitchen, eating your breakfast. no one answered as you sigh quickly finishing your breakfast.
you checked every corner of the apartment knowing that if you didn’t he’s phone will be left unattended in the house if ever someone called or even text him. you passed a table that was near the hallway of the apartment, seeing a phone with a plain black case in your peripheral vision which made you take a few step backs.
grabbing the phone as you huff in annoyance. he sometimes forget he puts his phone here which made you more annoyed that you needed to go to furin high to give it to him.
grumbling a few curses here and there as you snatched the phone, rolling your eyes to no one as you left the apartment to give sugishita’s phone.
if you could just stick his phone on him you would have done it by now. you were now in front of class one’s door it was wide open and you can see a boy that has two toned hair and sugishita with a bloody nose.
you were frozen on your spot, your lips forming into a thin line. “ ... is this really my brother? ” you thought to yourself, blinking multiple times.
a loud noise was released from the speakers making you winced, eyes squeezed shut for a moment before opening it again. a voice then speaked which made the students of furin stop talking and listen to the person that is speaking.
that made you recognized umemiya which you just shrugged in your mind, walking quietly beside your tall brother, his phone still on your hand.
after the speech umemiya did, sugishita quickly tried to wipe off the blood making you sigh as you took out a handkerchief giving it to him. he looked at you and at the handkerchief for a moment before taking it.
“ thank you, ” he quietly said, wiping the blood of his nose “ sis. ” he added making the two toned hair boy whipped his head back to look at the two of you.
“ ah, what is [name] doing here..? ” the blonde hair boy asked as you peeked your head to see him standing beside your crush making your eyes wide.
“ nirei! hello! ” you greeted with the brightest smile, which he waves at you in return. not noticing the black and white haired boy looking at the two of you. “ isn’t she sugishita’s cousin? ” one of the furin boys said as they whispered to themselves. people had been spectaculating that you and sugishita are cousins.
you gave sugishita his phone, giving him a small lecture about not to forget his phone as if you were his mother. ” i’ll be in pothos cafe is you need something from me. ” you said to sugishita before leaving as you bid farewell the boys with a smile.
they know you as a girl that loves helping — doing your best to help someone who needed it and also being the sweetest person.
you’re now on one of the tables in cafe pothos, slumped in one of the tables as you watched kotoha do her thing in the cafe.
it was a good afternoon for you, peaceful only hearing the quiet clanks of the plate kotoha is washing as you stare at the door as if waiting for someone to come in front.
you groaned as you closed your eyes, face flat on the table hearing kotoha chuckle. “ what? seems like you’re having a hard time. ” she asked, “ missing your boyfriend already? ” she added which made your face warm, quickly sitting properly while you point at her. “ huh?! boyfriend don’t even- ” she got cut off as the door swing opened revealing umemiya with his hands up high. ” ko-to-ha! ” he said in a sing song like voice as other people followed inside.
hiragi, nirei, sugishita, the boy with two colored hair and suo came into view. you couldn't help but smile when you see suo as they walk into a table to sit to.
“ hey! uhm, you look like you’re new here in town. what’s your name? ” you asked, standing up from your chair as he looked at you with a raised eyebrow like you were wanting to fight him.
“ huh? who are you? ” he questioned still having his eyebrow raised. “ oh, sorry! i’m [name] sugishita. ” you said with a smile, stretching your hand for him to shake. “ so you and sugishita are cousins or siblings? ” he asked once more, as you feel that he doesn't have any plan on saying his name if you won’t answer his question.
“ hm? yeah me and kyotaro are siblings. ” you said and grinned as nirei spitted out his drink. “ huh? since when you two became siblings!? ” nirei asked as he pulled out his notebook flipping through it as he saw that he didn’t write her as a sibling but as a cousin since that’s what the majority of people say and he believed it.
“ duh! of course since birth! ” you answered crossing your arms in front of your chest. “ people spectaculated that me and kyo are cousins when we’re actually siblings! ” you declared.
“ well since now you know me and kyo are siblings, what is your name? ” you asked once more as the boy scoffed. “ sakura haruka. ” he said as you scretch your hand once more. sakura looked at you and at your hand back and forth before he hesitantly shook it.
a big smile on your face as you greeted everyone with a smile except for suo. your confident smile faded as it transition into a nervous smile. suo the man he is just smiled and greeted you back which made your face more warmer as you just sit back on your chair and shrink smaller than before.
you didn't notice it but suo’s gaze never faltered whenever he looks at you. it seems like he’s observing you — however you didn’t notice by how you’re too occupied thinking about how pretty his smile was.
you were the first one to leave the cafe as you sighed, walking to the playground seeing kids still playing despite of the sun going down as you hear the kids laugh and scream while they run.
sitting on one of the bench as you watched the kid play. one kid running up to you while you tilted your head to the side, kids have been very familiar with you since you always come here to play with them for a bit. another kid run up to you and another as every other kid on the playground is now surrounding you as if you just did something bad.
you eyes fluttered as you take out a few candy from your bag as the kids thanked you, giving you hand while you did the same. “ [name] is the best! ” a kid says happily making you laugh softly.
several minutes later the candies that was in your palm are gone as you see parents calling over their kids. when the kids left the playground you’ll also leave however you stayed there for a while sitting on a swing as you swinged it a bit.
now that kyo’s friend knew you were his sister, what will happen now? you can’t help but sigh as you lean back abit sighing once more.
“ you’ve been sighing for a while now. ” a voice said as your eyes shot open, looking at the source of it.
suo was standing in front of you with his hand on his back, a smile on his face. you rarely see him without a smile on his face. sometimes you’re curious if he just have a mask that’s always smiling or it became a muscle memory to him.
“ huh? what? no! i’m not! ” you said messily, nervous that he’s literally right in front of you. you followed his figure as he sat to the other unoccupied swing. “ why are you even here anyway.. ”you started, making him look at you.
“ seems like you need company is all. ” he replied. “ you don't want me here? " he added as you can make out a pain tone making you tense up and looked away. “i-it’s not that i want you here anyway.. ” you nervously said not used to talking to him.
you and suo talked there for hours, you didn't even realize that it was getting dark when suo pointed it out. “ your brother must be worried about you. i’ll walk you home. ” he offered as you quickly declined it saying that it was okay and that your shared apartment with him isn’t that far from here.
he didn't back down as you just agreed and suo walked with a comfortable silence. you thanked him waving him goodbye as you slammed the door shut.
the following day, you helped kotoha manage the cafe as you waited for the boys to come back as they announced having a fight with shishitoren that you couldn't help but get worried about them. it was night when you heard the ring echo through the cafe.
“ oh, you guys are already patched up. ” the brown haired girl said as she inspected the boys. “ well.. you don’t look like you took a beating. ” kotoha said when she found suo unscathed.
you finished cleaning a table as you walk into the counter seeing them standing there, your body freezing when you saw suo even if you know that he’ll be here you just couldn't help but freeze and get nervous.
setting the cleaning supplies you used to clean the tables as you goes to sugishita first, worried for your little brother. your hands quickly inspecting his face, turning it to the side. “ glad you’re fine. ” you let out quietly, sighing in relief your hand dropping to your side as you back away to look at everyone.
“ seems like everyone got an intense fight! ” you said eyeing everyone while your eyes found suo. “ except for you.. ” you deadpanned as he smiled.
“ still, are you guys okay? not feeling any pain at all? ” you asked them when they took a sit at one of the tables. “ everything’s fine, no need to fret. ” umemiya said giving you a smile as you smile in return.
“ me, i think i’m feeling a bit of pain here.. ” suo said pointing at his cheek which made your eyebrows furrowed, sugishita glaring at him. “ ... i’ll be with kotoha. ” you said not wanting to participate in their conversation anymore.
weeks after, you often see suo in the cafe with nirei and sakura and if you’re lucky you’ll be seeing your brother with them.
“ hello [name]! ” they greeted when they saw you walk inside as you waved at them. suo waving back while he patted the empty seat next to him which you sit beside him even if you get nervous everytime you talk with him. something about him just feels different and what’s more you have a big fat crush on him!
the two left leaving you and suo together in the cafe, kotoha minding her own business as she had witness this many times.
you have spoken with him many times and yet you still get nervous talking to him as you ignore it and just listen to him talk. his voice is like music to your ears.
the door opened once more revealing your tall brother as he scoffed, walking to sit beside you. ” oh! sugishita. ” sugishita only staring at him. “ you wouldn't mind if i dated your sister? ” he added and that made you turn your head around at him, eyes wide as sugishita glared more at the male.
“ ahahaha.. he’s just joking. ” you replied trying to calm your brother down smiling. “ oh? am i? ” the tone in his voice made you gag in your own spit.
if you could just put both of your hands on his face and rub it hard so he can disappear. in the end, sugishita left leaving you and suo again.
you and suo hang out almost everyday on the playground, talking about school life.
your heart would still skip a beat whenever you talk with him or your heart beating faster than usual. things have been different however your feelings for suo are still there.
despite you being extremely nervous whenever you talk to him he was patient while you tried to find the exact words you want to say to him. at times, you think that he was probably close to stopping talking to you yet, that just made him want to talk to you more.
which led to being more than friends and you weren’t complaining, you have been wanting this all your life! you can say that this is the happiest life you ever lived.
Hi again, Froggie! Glad to see that your requests are still open ^^ (btw, I'm not caught up with OP yet, but your live reaction posts feel so relatable already sdhjhjdfg) That said, I did thought of something bittersweet... and yes, this is again for our beloved Ace. If you have the time, could you do a hurt/comfort piece that deals with GN!Reader dealing with Ace's death post-Marineford? One day, reader was visiting Ace's grave in Sphinx Island and was weeping, but then a stray calico cat comes up to them seemingly with the intent of grabbing reader's attention. Let's just say reader makes a new furry friend who awfully reminds them of Ace (look through pictures in google and you'll see what iI mean ;_;) and thinks the cat is a manifestation of him somehow... ~ 🍂 ace's widow ♠️
Ah ace's widow anon, nice to hear from you again!! This was very bittersweet, I hope you enjoy it 💙💙
Companion in Grief
Pairing: Ace x Reader
SFW
Summary: You're lost in your grief after losing Ace, but you think you might have finally found something to live for. Warnings: Marineford Spoilers, Major Character Desk (past), Angst, Hurt/Comfort Word Count: 1.6k
You’re still waiting for it to get easier.
You’ve been given a lot of platitudes: that time heals all wounds, that he’s always with you, that he died a hero. Like the way he died somehow makes him any less dead.
You much preferred what an old woman had told you, once, when you had shared that you were both widows. You had asked her if it ever stopped hurting.
She smiled sadly. “No, it doesn’t. But it…dulls, sometimes. It’s like an old wound that never heals quite right; sometimes you can go days, weeks, even years without feeling it. But it always comes back. Sometimes it’s a small ache, sometimes it’s just like the day you lost them. But it always comes back.”
“That doesn’t make me feel much better, honestly.”
“No, it doesn’t. But…one day, you’ll wake up, and realize it’s been a while since you broke down, and you can think of the happy times without feeling like your heart’s been torn from your chest. And maybe that doesn’t make it better, but it’s maybe a little easier, a little kinder, than what came before it.”
You’re still waiting for that realization.
You’ve tried not visiting him everyday, after a couple concerned friends told you they were worried you might be making things worse for yourself, but you couldn’t bring yourself to stop. You know he’ll never be lonely with Pops nearby, but you don’t want him to think you’d abandoned him. You know he wouldn’t want you to wait for him, but he’d never really wanted you to love him, either, always convinced he was a burden, some horrible cross for you to bear. You’d spend the rest of your life sleeping next to his grave if you thought it’d bring you closer to him.
But you don’t feel him here, not really. You just feel the cold ground beneath your feet, the gentle heat of the sun against your cheeks. There isn’t anybody here with you, no matter how much you wish it were different.
So you talk to the air, pretending you can feel his warm hands holding yours, pretending you feel his spirit and warmth around you. “I still miss you.”
There’s no response.
“This morning I woke up, and for just a second, I forgot. I forgot what happened, and I reached out for you next to me.” Your throat tightens, but you force out the words anyway. “You weren’t there, obviously, and then I remembered, and I–”
You don’t know if the noise that escapes you is a laugh or a sob. “It’s so stupid, right? To forget? I know you’re gone, but some part of me is convinced that one day I’ll wake up and you’ll just…be there. And I’ll get to tell you about this awful nightmare I’ve been having, and you’ll tear up despite yourself because you’ve always been a lot softer than you like to let on. And you’ll tell me that it’s okay, because you’re here, and you would never leave me. And you’d be lying, and we’d both know it, but you’d say it anyway. For me.”
You lean your face down, pressing it into the dirt, inhaling the earthy scent, trying to ground yourself. “It's so strange. I feel so lucky to have known you, but I almost wish I hadn't. It's so cruel to have loved you and lost you.”
You think of his smile, so warm and bright. Once you’d thought looking at him was like staring at the sun. “It'd be easier if I didn't know how good life could be.”
You think about his hands on yours, his lips pressing gently against your skin. “It'd be easier if I didn't know how deeply I was capable of loving.”
You think of the way he had slid the ring on your finger, hands shaking. He had been so nervous, more frightened than you’d ever seen him. “I don't think I'll ever do it again.”
Your hands dig into the dirt, the small rocks and pebbles digging into your skin. “I hope you hold it against me if I see you sooner than you expected. I can’t do this without you. I never could.” The words pour out until they can’t anymore, the sobs finally overtaking you.
You want to sink into the ground, lay beside him, hold his hand one last time, no matter how cold. It’s just not fair. It isn’t right. This isn’t how things were supposed to be. You had a life you were supposed to live together, and he had so many things left to do, and now they’re just going to be left undone? How could that possibly be true?
Then something brushes against your hand.
Something soft and cold. A feeling other than pain, for the first time in months.
You manage to look up, and for a moment the big eyes staring at you seem almost familiar. The little cat, covered in dirt, is sniffing your hand, investigating you. He can’t be more than a year old, still in that awkward lanky state between kitten and cat. The sniffs continue for several seconds before he seemingly deems you worthy, and you feel the smallest hint of warmth as he licks your hand.
Before you realize it, you’ve moved your hand to scratch between his little ears, and his eyes close as you hear the sweet sound of his purrs. The corner of your lip twitches. What a sweet little thing.
“Hey, little guy,” you murmur, your throat still tight from your tears. “What are you doing here?”
He mewls in response, headbutting your hand, as though demanding you continue your affections. A small sound escapes your throat, sharp and foreign, and after a moment you realize it’s a laugh. How long has it been since you laughed?
He headbutts you again, letting out a noise of discontent. For a moment you’re reminded of a sleepy Ace, grabbing your hand and pathetically begging you to lay down with him, for you to run your hands through his hair, to give him anything you’re willing. You give in to the cat, reaching over to pick him up and hold him against your chest, to his delight. He curls in immediately, purring louder, and you can feel his warmth seep in through your shirt. He’s like a little furnace, instantly banishing the cold ache that had been plaguing you all morning.
“You’re friendly, huh?”
He lets out a little trill, snuggling further into you.
“You should probably be afraid of strangers, buddy.”
A gentle breeze brushes against your cheeks, carrying the faint smell of cedar and smoke, so familiar it makes your chest ache. You almost fall to your knees again, but the gentle rumble of the creature laying against you brings you back. You’d hate to hurt him if you fell.
Your eyes linger on the gravestone for a moment, before you nod and turn around. You want to get this baby home, maybe give him a bath and some food. Ace would understand.
You enter the little cabin you’ve been staying in, ready to fill the sink with warm water. Your new companion doesn’t seem terribly pleased at the sound of it, and is even less pleased by the feeling of it on his fur. You try to be as gentle and quick as you can, making sure to check him over for ticks or flea dirt as he lets out one long, uninterrupted cry.
He decides you’re the worst person alive after you dry him off.
He forgives you after half an hour.
You don’t have any cat food, or anything you think he could eat, so you’ll have to go to the market later, once he’s settled. You do find some stray blankets you throw over a chair to make a good hiding space for him, which he instantly throws himself into.
As you maneuver around, preparing to leave as your new friend demands sustenance, you catch a glimpse of yourself in the mirror. You don’t look quite happy; there are bags under your eyes, and you look a little sickly. But you realize that at some point, something almost like a smile snuck its way onto your face.
You can’t help but recall a conversation you and Ace had, back when you had cried when he told you he was leaving for a long mission, wailing that you couldn’t stand life without him for that long.
“Aw, sweetheart, you don’t need me. You just need something to live for.”
“What do you mean?”
“You need a reason to wake up in the morning. A goal you’re working toward, something you want to achieve, or something you’re looking forward to. Something, anything, that makes you want to get up each day. Do you have that?”
You don’t remember what your answer was. You don’t remember who you used to be, before. But for the first time in recent memory, there’s a smile on your face, no matter how small, and the loud, demanding cries of a hungry cat make you think that perhaps you’ll have a reason to wake up tomorrow.
Maybe things don’t need to be good to be better. Maybe they can be just a little less bad. Maybe that can be enough, for now.
🎸 out of my mind ! 💿 track three: something about a beat
guitarist!ino x drummer!reader
summary: it's the annual battle of the bands at the fix, your college campus's iconic live music bar, and this year you're taking the stage as the drummer for indie rock group cursed technique. you know the competition is strong, but no part of you is ready for lead singer and guitarist takuma ino. you lock eyes at the edge of the stage, and something starts—something that might make you feel alive even more than the beat of the drums.
warnings: language, hopeless stupid pining, alcohol, mentions of deceased parent, maki is Fed Up, anxiety, unbearably cute dogs. || sfw. 9k words.
“OKAY, IT’S UP,” Nobara says, grinning at you over her laptop. You’re sprawled across the living room at Takuma’s place, surrounded by a random combination of your band and his while others are in classes. After spending last night mixing the single, Takuma helped Nobara set up an artist profile for the band, and now your music is available on streaming services. Just like that.
“That’s so weird,” you say, grinning as you pull up Spotify on your phone. Next Fix by Cursed Technique. Strange to see your face on there, a photo taken of all of you by some freshman when you last performed at The Fix. Nobara sends the link in your group chat, and Toge responds within seconds.
freak no. 1: FAME freak no. 1: FORTUNE freak no. 1: wait it’s not opening freak no. 1: nvm i’m just stupid
“Does he ever pay attention in class?” Nobara mutters. Maki snorts.
Yuta is also in class, but that means he’s locked in, all his devices on Do Not Disturb. You don’t think Toge’s turned DND on a single time in his life.
“I’m going to Kinji’s!” Kirara shouts from the front entryway, and Yuji leaps to his feet and disappears down the hall, barreling back out of his room seconds later.
“Wait! Can you give this to Panda while you’re there?” He hands her a drive, and Kirara rolls her eyes and takes it.
“You need to slow down every once in a while,” she says, ruffling Yuji’s hair. “Okay, bye. I’ll be back in a few hours.” The dogs follow her to the door and return the living room when she’s gone, curling up on either side of Megumi, who’s busy writing some paper in the corner.
“What was that?” Nobara asks.
“Demo drive for the radio station,” Takuma says. “Panda plays our stuff sometimes. I bet he’d play yours, too.”
“That’d be sick,” Nobara says approvingly. She turns to bother Megumi, poking at him until he takes his headphones off and talks to her, and Yuji strolls into the room and flops down directly on the floor.
“Comfy?” you ask, poking him with a socked foot.
“Mm. Yeah.”
“Ah, look what you did, Kugisaki,” Megumi says, and you look up to see Shiro trotting toward you with her tail wagging, having abandoned her post at her owner’s side.
“That was not my fault! You’re the one who moved.”
“Because you kept poking me!”
You immediately slide off the couch onto the floor, letting Shiro sit in your lap. “Um, excuse me,” Takuma says, offended. You crane your neck to look up at him behind you on the couch. His face is lit up by his computer as he works on a string of code he tried (and failed) to explain to you, and there’s laughter in his eyes despite the affronted tone of his voice.
“Favorite,” you inform him with a wide, cheeky smile. He very maturely sticks his tongue out at you.
“Toge message,” Nobara informs you all, reading off her phone. “He says omg we have four listeners do you think they’re writing slutty fanfiction about us already.” She glances at you. “Petition to remove him from the chat—oh, look, he started sending the wolf memes again.”
Hanging out like this has become natural so quickly you almost forget you haven’t been friends with Shibuya Incident for ages. You feel almost as much at home in the tapestry-covered living room here as you do in the plant-filled kitchen of your own house down the street.
Maki checks her watch, sighing. “We should get going soon. The guys will be back in half an hour.” Then you have rehearsal, even though you’re not one of the three bands performing tomorrow night. When you do take the stage next week, you want to be ready.
Nobara is trying to read Megumi’s texts over his shoulder, which isn’t working out well for her, and he tells Maki, “Yes, please, take your invasive little gremlin home.” He puts his hand right on Nobara’s face and pushes her away, and she screeches and tries to tackle him, but he’s already sitting in a beanbag chair in the corner, so it doesn’t really do much except make Kuro jump on top of them both.
You glance up at Takuma again, still stroking Shiro’s fur while the others start to stand, ready to head home. “You rehearsing today too?”
“I’d hope so,” he shrugs.
“Yes, dipshit, in two hours. If you ever read the group chat,” Megumi says.
Takuma doesn’t seem fazed by Megumi’s irritation and just shrugs. “We have a new song for tomorrow.”
“You didn’t tell me!” You poke at his knee in retribution for his secrecy. “I wanna hear it!”
“You will,” he says. “Tomorrow.”
“Skipper, help, I don’t wanna walk our gremlin home by myself,” Maki calls from the door, and you reluctantly pat Shiro on the head and stand. She follows you to the entryway and sniffs at you while you cram your feet into your sneakers.
“Maki Zenin.” Nobara turns up her nose and crosses her arms over her chest. “If you hated me so much, why didn’t you just say so?”
“Bye!” Yuji shouts from the living room, and you all call out varying goodbyes and noncommittal sounds before making your way out the door and down the block, the afternoon air chilly against your cheeks.
Nobara waits all of ten seconds before spinning around and walking backward, grinning at you mischievously. “I bet Ino wrote a song about you.”
“Oh my god. Shut up,” you laugh. “He didn’t.” You can’t imagine you’ve given him all that much to work with. What would he write, that you like coffee and drums and Megumi’s dogs?
“Why else wouldn’t he show you? Don’t you guys text each other song lyrics like the little romantic fucks you are?” Your face is flaming, and you’re suddenly very grateful for the cool of the wind against your skin. The idea of him writing a song about you plants something weird in your gut—not something bad, just something unexpected and warm and blooming.
You try not to show it and your friends see right through you, Nobara turning back to skip up the drive with a satisfied grin and Maki rolling her eyes at the both of you.
“I’m gonna write a song, too,” Nobara declares, unlocking the door and pushing her way inside. “Skipper and Ino, sitting in a tree. K-I-S-S—”
This time, you and Maki speak in tandem. “Shut up!”
—
“There’s a joke here,” Gojo says, tapping both of his index fingers together while he thinks. “About being a drummer and a journalist. Something about a beat.”
You laugh, jotting another note on the lined paper of your small spiral notebook. “I hate to tell you, but I’ve heard that one before.”
You’re not sure features qualifies as a specific beat, more of a broad category, but your staff isn’t nearly large enough to assign people to smaller specialties. Plus, it’s a college publication, designed for experimentation and growth. Nobody wants to be boxed in yet. That’ll come later, out in the monotony of the real world, and you’ll be confined to some hyperspecific beat like neighborhood crime or high school basketball.
“No!” Gojo cries, dragging his hands down his face like it’s the end of the world. “I can’t believe somebody plagiarized me before I even said it.”
“That’s not how that works,” Utahime cuts in dryly, sliding three shots across the counter to the waiting group of sophomores and then effortlessly throwing together another cocktail.
Gojo leans toward you, shadowing out your notes, and stage-whispers, “You see what I have to put up with?”
You do, actually, see what Utahime has to put up with. She long ago put down a line of blue painter’s tape to divide her side of the bar from Gojo’s, and she preaches frequently that there will be dire consequences if he crosses it.
Of course, he crosses it at every opportunity, and here he is, still.
It’s also just how the two bartenders split up the work, the customers, and you write that down too, that it’s an effective division of labor. “Don’t read my notes,” you tell Gojo as he squints at your writing upside down. “It’ll wreck the journalistic integrity.” He sticks out his bottom lip in a pout that reminds you violently of Toge, who’s taking photos of Utahime as she works.
You glance over to the stage, where Angel is performing the last number of her set, a bouncy, belty song that you recognize from a video she posted earlier this week. The crowd loves it, dancing around and singing along, but still, you think she’ll have a tougher time making it through as the only solo artist remaining in the competition.
You whoop and cheer as she hits her last note, holding it for an ungodly amount of time, and Gojo eventually has to abandon his teasing to do his job. When Toge thinks he’s got enough photos, the two of you slip back into the crowd, Panda commentating on the change of artist as you catch up to your friends.
“And now, here’s your alt rock duo, your boys, the Kamos,” he says as you come to a stop beside Yuta. “Give it up!”
Nobara very loudly gives it up.
“Hi.” Yuta nudges you. “How’s the reporting going?”
“Good.” Noritoshi and Choso settle in on stage, tuning their guitar and bass and making girls swoon in the front row but somehow remaining entirely oblivious to it. “You’re not going home tomorrow, right?”
Yuta shakes his head. This weekend is fall break, which just means that there were no classes today. You spent the first day of your three-day weekend cramming for midterms.
Toge’s heading out after this and Nobara will leave early in the morning, but Maki and Yuta will be here for the weekend. You wonder about Takuma and his band, but you can’t ask right now—they’re all backstage, waiting to go on after the Kamos.
The boys in question, when they’re not doing covers, have incredibly nonsensical song names that have little to nothing to do with their lyrics. The first track of theirs you ever heard was called Song About the Time My Dog Got Lost for Three Hours.
“Okay,” Choso says after their cover of a song by The Smiths. “This one’s called Please Don’t Tell Your Mom I Was At Your House Past Curfew.”
He and Noritoshi then proceed to play the most upbeat, energizing alt rock shit you’ve ever heard. You love these guys, and the crowd does too, the way they don’t take themselves too seriously but they’re genuinely talented. But it’s making you nervous for Takuma and his band, because only one group goes on tonight. Only one.
No, you think, shrugging it off. They got this.
When Shibuya Incident finally walks on stage, the ensuing roar of applause before they even do anything eases whatever worries you might have had. They were slotted at the end of tonight’s set for a reason. Everyone loves them.
Without prelude, they launch into a song you recognize from their EP, a fast-paced track with a pretty simple chord progression that gets entirely flipped on its head in the bridge. You let Yuta spin you around as you dance with the rest of the crowd, the lights and sound washing over you. Yuji’s in his element, Kirara is fucking killing it, and Megumi—as always—is the rock the band stands on, unerring tempo and steady presence keeping everyone on track.
After the song finishes with a crazy riff from Kirara, and the crowd takes a minute to freak out and then slowly wind down, Takuma grabs the mic to address the audience.
“Hi again,” he says, scanning the clusters of people from his place on the low stage. His gaze lands on you and your friends, and he smiles a little wider. “That was Godspeed. We’re gonna slow it down a bit for our next song. It’s a new one. We’re calling it Curious.”
Nobara practically launches herself over Toge to get to you and shake you by the shoulders. “What did I say?” she hisses.
“Oh my god,” you say, shoving her off. “They haven’t even started yet.” But you look back at Takuma to find he hasn’t stopped looking at you.
To your surprise, the instrumentals don’t start first. Most of Shibuya Incident’s music opens with a riff or a fill or at least four bars of introduction. But this time, Takuma leans into the mic and starts singing, just a low “ooooh,” and the rest of the band comes in one by one—Megumi, then Kirara, then Yuji. Kirara’s harmonizing on a higher note, and the effect is a slow, dissonant build that makes you lock in, all anticipation.
Then Takuma tugs the mic from the stand and sings,“I see your eyes, curious, curious, you wanna know why the sky’s so goddamn blue. I hear your voice, curious, curious, you’re asking me if I’d ever fall for you.”
And as you listen, Nobara’s smile just gets wider and wider, and Takuma keeps making fleeting eye contact with you, and you realize abruptly that she was right.
This song is about you.
Takuma’s said it to you before, in passing, how he likes the way you look at the world—through a journalist’s lens, curious about how everything works, always searching for unseen answers.
“Wish I could see my life like you do,” he and Kirara sing in unison. “Wish I could walk the streets each night… wonderin’ if the full moon sees you, but I just keep lookin’, lookin’ down at the time.”
You’re transfixed, just like the first night you saw Takuma perform live, and you couldn’t tear your eyes away from the stage if you tried. Someone should write a story about him, you think. This man could be on the cover of Rolling Stone and you wouldn’t question it.
God, you’re so far gone, aren’t you?
When the set is over, the last song finishing with a long, drawn-out chord, Takuma thanks the crowd and hands the mic off to Panda to take over. As the band disappears one by one into the backstage area, he lays out the voting process.
“The voting period will last ten minutes, assuming no technical difficulties,” he says. “QR codes, as usual, are posted around the bar. If you’re a competitor, you can’t vote. Make sure you’re logged into your .edu accounts or you won’t be able to access the form…”
Your fingers are tapping nervously at your thighs, the crowd around you already glued to their phone screens. The band isn’t back out on the floor yet—Panda will call all three artists up at the end of the voting period and announce the finalist live.
Sweat is starting to pool in the palms of your clammy hands, and you wipe it on your jeans, anxious. To you, there’s no question. But it’s not up to you.
“Relax,” Yuta says, putting a reassuring hand on your shoulder. “It won’t even be close, Skip.”
After the longest ten minutes of your life, Hana Kurusu, the Kamos, and Shibuya Incident join Panda back on stage, a dramatic spotlight bouncing between each artist as Panda draws out the announcement. “And the artist from tonight moving on to the finals in two weeks is…”
“Just say it,” Maki huffs beside you, and Yuta chuckles and nudges her with a shoulder. She tries to hide the slight upturn of her lips, but that’s not going to slide past you.
You’ll tease her later. For now—
“Shibuya Incident!”
The reaction is explosive, both on the floor and the stage. Yuji practically leaps onto Kirara’s back, and Takuma’s face goes slack in surprise before a shy smile works its way across his spotlit features, Megumi being his nonchalant, unaffected self in the midst of it all. Nobara is screaming, and you’re yelling at the top of your lungs, Toge whooping and snapping photos as the Kamos and Hana crowd the band, congratulating them on the victory.
Takuma looks out into the crowd again and you wave, smiling unabashedly, so fucking proud and excited and thinking maybe, maybe, if you make it too, you’ll be facing off against each other, and wouldn’t that be something?
Maybe you shouldn’t be so thrilled. He’s the competition, after all.
But if he wins for going up there and singing curious, curious with his eyes locked on yours, you suppose it wouldn’t be all that bad.
—
Most of Saturday passes in a barrage of classwork and inconsistent, snacky meals in between, the diet of a harried college student, ramen and chips and whatever actual food Yuta leaves for you in the fridge. He’s back from work by three, and Maki wraps up her own work around the same time you do, late afternoon creeping into evening. The three of you are curled up in the living room, the TV on while Yuta and Maki try to pretend they’re not looking at each other.
You need to get them alone.
you: are you busy takuma: not at all takuma: what’s up? you: mind if i crash your house?
You glance up and swear Yuta has somehow, in the last two seconds, moved closer to Maki on the couch.
you: i think yuta and maki need some ~ALONE TIME~ takuma: TEA takuma: sorry kirara told me to stop saying that in response to everything that happens ever takuma: it’s fun tho
“I’m going to Takuma’s,” you announce, and Maki raises a brow at you.
“Again?”
“Sue me for having friends.”
Yuta’s brows crease a bit at the word friends, but he doesn’t comment. With a furtive glance back, you grab your shoes and slip out the door, successfully leaving Maki and Yuta alone in the house for an indeterminate amount of time.
Please, you think. One of them has to make a fucking move soon.
Takuma answers the door before you can knock. “Hey.”
“No pups today?” you ask as you step past him into the entryway, kicking off your shoes.
“Sadly,” Takuma says. “Fushiguro took ‘em with him, wherever he went. Ah, man. Did you only come over for them?” His tone is teasing as he closes the front door behind you, trading the October cold for the warmth of the house. “Afraid I’m a letdown.”
“Takuma,” you scold at his self-deprecation. “You’re basically an excited puppy yourself, so—”
“Hey!” he squawks, and then thinks about it and tilts his head, conceding. “Fine. Maybe. Yeah, okay.”
“What have you been up to?” you ask as the two of you make your way to the living room.
“Procrastination. Guitar instead of homework, mostly. You?”
“Same,” you sigh. “Well, not the guitar part. But I should have been way further ahead on my homework by now.” You shrug. You’ll get it done; you always do.
You settle in easily on the couch, and the two of you boot up the Wii and play a few rounds of Mario Kart because someone left the disc in. And when you’ve both beaten each other enough times to lose count, Takuma mentions something about your single and you realize you haven’t checked the stats.
“You can see more on a computer,” he says, and you follow him up to his room, where he cedes control of the device to you. You pull up the artist profile and grin at the steady upward climb of listeners. It’s not a ton, but this only went up on Thursday.
“We haven’t even done anything to promote this,” you admit, spinning in Takuma’s desk chair to face him. “I don’t even know how people are finding it.”
He immediately looks down, which means he knows something. You nudge him with your foot. “What? What does that face mean? Takuma.”
“I maybe gave Panda a drive of the mix,” he shrugs, talking fast like the meaning of the words might elude you if he mumbles enough. “And he maybe played it at the radio station earlier today. Several times.”
A wave of affection crashes into you so fast that you jump up and throw your arms around him without thinking, laughing into his shoulder. “You didn’t have to do that!” You pull back, grinning. “That was really sweet. Thank you. Seriously.”
“Ah, it was nothin’.” He reaches up to scratch at the back of his neck, a gesture you’ve come to recognize as self-conscious.
“Not nothing,” you say softly. He smiles.
After a moment, he glances at the window and seems to come to a decision. “Hey,” he says.
“Hey yourself.”
“Wanna go out on the roof?”
You blink, processing the words, instinctively looking to his window. You’ve never really realized it before, but it opens out onto a flat expanse of shingles, a perfect lookout right outside Takuma’s bedroom.
Your grin is answer enough, and he unlatches the window and pulls it open. He glances back at you, up and down, and you feel yourself blush before you realize he’s taking in what you’re wearing. He grabs a thick jacket from the closet and tosses it to you, then shrugs one on himself and leads the way, gripping the window frame with one hand and pulling himself outside. After a moment of consideration, he reaches back in and grabs his acoustic guitar by the neck from its place against the wall, pulling it out with him.
When the window shuts behind you, you’re immediately grateful for the protection of the extra layer. Even with your hands balled in the sleeves of your hoodie, it’s chilly out here.
You’re surprised by how much of the campus you can see spread out in the distance. It’s early evening, but the days are getting shorter, the sun a misleading blaze of heat in the otherwise cold hour.
“This,” you say, “is fucking awesome.”
“Right? I called dibs on the room as soon as we toured. For this.” He grins, leaning back on his palms, legs spread out in front of him. You lie back on the roof, letting the cool surface seep through your hood, staring up at the sky.
“So Maki and Yuta,” he says, shaking his head fondly. “Are they finally a thing?”
“I don’t know, but if they’re gonna do anything about it, it’s not gonna be while anyone else is home.” You shrug, or at least do whatever approximation of shrugging you can when you’re bundled in a bulky hoodie and jacket and lying on a roof.
Honestly, Yuta and Maki are some of your favorite people on this planet, and you can’t imagine anyone else who really deserves them. They’re the de facto mom and dad of your group—as in, Yuta is the band mom and Maki’s the gruff father who won’t admit his affection for the pet he didn’t want to get but ended up loving anyway.
“Man, I’m glad I wasn’t around when Kirara and Hakari were in their pining phase,” Takuma chuckles. He pulls his legs in, sitting cross-legged, and picks up the guitar, idly tuning it as he speaks. “Then there’s Itadori, probably picks up girls everywhere he goes and has never once realized it.”
“What about Megumi?” You let your head loll to the side, looking at Takuma with the guitar settled in his lap.
“Fushiguro? I don’t know, man, he doesn’t tell us anything. He has like, resting yearning face. I’ve got no idea. I don’t even know where he is right now, just that he’s supposed to be back really late.”
“That means the dogs will be back?” you say hopefully.
Takuma shakes his head, strumming another chord, and another, fingers moving deftly across the frets. “I’m not enough for you, huh?”
“I said no such thing.”
He plucks out a happy little melody on the guitar, looking at you. “Wanna learn?”
You sit up, your hood falling back off your head in the process. “Really?”
In answer, he hands you the guitar, scooting closer to you to show you where to place your fingers. You’ve been around your bandmates enough to know the basics, but you let him teach you anyway, giggling a little when he guides you through a three-chord progression and says, “Damn, you’re a natural.”
He leans back and stares at the sky, listening to you play. Eventually you add a few other basic chords into the mix, varying your strumming patterns, already feeling the strain in your fingertips from the unfamiliar press of the strings.
“So,” you say, still idly messing around on a G chord. Takuma props himself up on his elbows, looking over at you. “What was the incident in Shibuya? Have you been to Shibuya?”
He snorts. “Nope. Honestly, it was more to make people ask the question. You know in the Marvel movies, how Hawkeye and Black Widow are always talking about Budapest?”
“And nobody knows what the hell happened there,” you say, laughing. “Ah. I see.”
“I’ve never even been to Japan,” Takuma admits. “Fushiguro has, though. Maybe he had an incident in Shibuya. Who knows?”
G, C, D. D, C, G. You play the chords over and over, strumming softly, slowly, letting your finger catch on each of the strings, then five of them, then four.
“This is a really nice guitar.”
“Yeah.” There’s a beat of silence that makes you glance up, weighted differently than the usual pauses in conversation. Takuma is sitting up now, knees pulled loosely to his chest. “Was my dad’s.”
“He taught you to play,” you remember aloud, recalling your conversation in the coffee shop. But now you’re hung up on that word: was. Part of you doesn’t want to ask, but part of you feels like his words are a sort of quiet invitation, like he wants to tell you, but doesn’t want to force it. “I… is he…?”
“He died when I was twelve,” Takuma admits, eyes fixed on the sky. “Uh, car accident. It was stupid, some issue with the other guy’s car. Couldn’t stop it.” You’ve never heard his voice like this before, taut, oddly thin. Carefully, gently, you set the guitar on the roof beside you, watching him.
“Were you…”
“In the car?” Takuma sniffs. “Ah. Yeah.”
“Oh,” you breathe, and that’s what it is, more of a breath than a word. “I—Takuma…”
When he laughs, there’s no humor in it. It’s a hollow kind of chuckle, one that says everything he can’t. “It’s why I learned to skate, actually,” he says quietly, not meeting your eyes. “I’d get everywhere that way. I didn’t—want to drive, I guess. Got my license late and everything. I think people thought I was just a slacker.”
Whatever words you might scrounge up feel inadequate for a grief this large. You don’t want to pity him, and you don’t want to dismiss him, and that’s always the problem with hard conversations, isn’t it? What a line to walk.
“You’re not a slacker,” you say eventually, and he raises a brow at you. “I mean, maybe you procrastinate coding projects to a worrying extent, but you always get it done.” You smile thinly. “You don’t give up in any way that matters, Takuma. I like that about you.”
He chuckles. “Nanami said something like that, once.” His eyes go far-away again, just for a second. “He’s kind of the closest thing… like… I don’t know. I’ve known Nanami for a really long time. He was my dad’s friend. And I guess he sort of became a father figure, after…”
He shrugs. “It’s probably a big part of why I decided to go here. That, and it’s not too far from my mom’s. I don’t know that she’d have been thrilled if I went somewhere farther.”
“You’re not home,” you say carefully, a question but not question. “For break?”
“She’s on a business trip,” he says. “So not much point. But I’ll see her at Christmas, at least.”
For a while the silence stretches out comfortably between you, like a weighted blanket. You can’t ignore it, but it isn’t unwelcome. At some point you scooted closer to him, and now you sit side by side, only the layers of your jackets separating you.
“Thank you for telling me,” you say eventually, soft, unwilling to break the quiet. He nods.
“You didn’t go home either,” he points out, an unspoken question in the spaces between words. “Is it just ‘cause you’re from so far away, or…”
“Yeah. A Friday off didn’t feel like enough of a break to warrant a flight back.” But that’s not all of it. His silence tells you he knows it, too. He’s been so candid with you all night. You can share this part of yourself, you decide.
There’s something about Takuma, anyway, that makes you want to tell him things. You want to know him, and you want him to know you—you now, here, at school, but also you there, home, in the past.
“I haven’t been home since July,” you admit, hugging your knees to your chest, mirroring him. “My town is… small. I liked it when I was little. But the older I got the more I started to feel, just—I don’t know, stifled?”
Your hometown used to feel huge, like you could explore it forever on your Razor scooter and never find all its secrets. But you grew, and the town didn’t grow with you, and suddenly you were standing outside your high school realizing you knew every corner of the self-proclaimed suburban city, every street and coffee shop and alley. You’ve always been curious. And at some point, there wasn’t anything left in that place for you to be curious about.
“I love my home. I love my parents. It’s just… I needed to get out. I don’t think they ever really understood that.”
It’s easier to admit things when you’re looking straight ahead like this, out over the lines and curves of buildings, picking out street lamps, watching a few stray cars make their way around slow corners.
“Is it what you wanted it to be?” he asks quietly. “Here, I mean.” He nods out to the vast stretch of campus, spread across the city. So many corners you’ve been here years and haven’t found them all.
Campus is weird on break, you muse, looking out over the darkness. A whole parallel world for you to explore, the shadowed version of the place. A video game map on single-player, a dead server. Hardly any lights on in the windows, no kids out on the street. Like a ghost town. But it still doesn’t feel empty to you. There’s so much promise in it.
“Yeah,” you answer after a moment, soft. “Yeah, I think it is.”
A ghost town that isn’t lonely, somehow. You could write a song about it, you think. Friends with all the dead in my ghost town. The phrase plays itself out in your head, and it sounds like something moodier than your band usually goes for. It sounds like Shibuya Incident.
You wonder if this is what it means to be in a relationship—not a romantic one, necessarily, but a friendship, or any kind of bond between two creative people. If it’s this, the sharing of intellectual property with another person to the extent that their voice and yours start to blend.
It’s in the way Nobara can finish your sentences when you’re throwing out potential verses, scrambling for rhymes. How Toge and Yuta can anticipate each other’s movements, match chord progressions without talking about them. How Maki slips into your tempo seamlessly, every single time.
And now your lyrics sound like something his band would play. Maybe Takuma’s songwriting will start sounding like yours, too.
You don’t think you’d mind.
“Can I tell you something?” Takuma murmurs after a moment, sounding hesitant.
You rest a cheek on your knees, hands clasped together in front of your shins, facing him. “Mhm.”
“That song last night,” he whispers, and he’s not looking at you, just staring out at the rapidly darkening campus. “It was about you. And how you—I don’t know, the way you look at things. Like they’re always so full of potential. I wish I could do that. You just see things and want to know more. I like… watching you, being curious.” He pauses for a beat and then quickly adds, “Not in like, a creepy way! Just—I don’t know.”
A chuckle slips through your lips against your will, the darkness hopefully hiding the color in your cheeks. Maybe you can blame it on the cold. “Watching?” you ask, teasing. “I can’t imagine I’m all that intriguing. There’s a lot of cool people around here, y’know.”
“Skip,” he murmurs, and now his eyes are locked on yours. “I don’t think I’ve ever met anyone like you.”
Every nerve in your body is hyperaware of his proximity, and his hand reaches up to cup your jaw, the touch ghosting over you, barely there, hesitant. A nonverbal question. Is this okay?
You lean into the warmth, letting his breath wash over you, mingling with your own in the space between your lips, smaller and smaller and smaller.
He’s watching you, closely, giving you a chance to pull away. So many words exchanged tonight, but you don’t need any for this.
You don’t pull away.
It’s slow at first, and soft, and hesitant. The shingles dig into the heel of your hand as you lean forward on one arm, a grainy feeling on your fingertips, in the grooved imprints left by the guitar strings. You find your free hand moving up to his shoulder, pushing, guiding him down until his back is pressed against the roof and you’re over him, lips locked with his. You look at him, and he’s so full of potential. You want to know everything about him, you want to know how he works, you want to ask questions. And you do, with your tongue along the seam of his lips, and your hand tangled in his hair, and his breath mixing with yours in the air. It’s near full dark now, feeling later than it really is, evening in autumn.
You’re not cold anymore.
He deepens the kiss, body coming up to meet yours, and you feel like maybe this roof is the top of the whole world, because how could you ever feel higher than this?
“Takuma,” you murmur, and you kiss him again, and you don’t think you’ve ever felt this way before, but you’ll do maybe anything in the world to feel this way again.
And then a sharp, deep sound makes you jump, scrambling to sit up on the shingles, breathing heavy from the kiss and the noise. Did that come from inside or out?
“What—”
“Oh, crap,” Takuma groans, pulling open the window. “Someone’s home.” He looks back at you, cheeks flushed from the cold or the kiss or both, looking a little helpless, a little apologetic, and you can’t help the small laugh that bursts from you at the absurdity of the situation. You feel like a teenager getting caught by your parents.
“We should…” He nods toward the window. You hand him the guitar, then crawl back over to the window and slip inside after him, the warmth a stark relief from the temperature you’ve gotten so used to. Your heart is a jackhammer, rapidly pecking away at the once-stable structure of yourself.
You kissed him.
You kissed Takuma.
Your phone buzzes in your pocket, and you pull it out with still-cold hands.
utah: [1 Image Attachment] utah: dinner?
Admittedly, the pasta does look amazing, and your stomach grumbles as if on cue.
“I should go,” you say awkwardly, holding up the phone for Takuma to see.
“Uh, yeah, uh—for sure, no problem, I should go see what’s up down there anyway,” he says after a beat of hesitation. “I’ll see you, uh…?”
“Around?” you finish, laughing slightly.
“Yeah,” he echoes with an amused half-smile as you make your way down the stairs. “Around.”
—
You’re freaking out.
It’s 4:31 on Monday afternoon, you’ve been listening to the same song on repeat for an hour, and you’re freaking the fuck out.
After Saturday night, you didn’t talk about it. You kissed him on the roof and your heart turned into a hummingbird and you were warm all over, and then the front door slammed and you nearly jumped out of your skin, and Megumi was back early and Takuma had no idea why, and you pet the dogs and then slipped out, wanting to give them their space.
And you haven’t talked about it. You haven’t had time. Sunday was a mess of cramming for midterms and your housemates returning from break and you threw yourself into your studies and tried not to remember, but now…
The stupid fucking switch in the back of your brain has flipped itself on and you can’t turn it off, all worry and criticism and hypothetical worst-case scenarios and you’re giving too much too fast, Skipper, you know better than this!
How many people in your tiny town fell in love young and grew to resent each other? How many of your high school friends grew up with divorced parents? How many breakups have you seen in your two and a half years at this university, how many tears and shouting matches in public halls, how many friend groups falling apart because two people fell in and out of love?
The thing is, you know you’re panicking about nothing. Takuma hasn’t asked anything of you. It was just a kiss. He is not your boyfriend. This is not a contract.
But if you talk about it, it could be, and you don’t understand why that scares you so much. Do you have commitment issues? What the fuck is your problem?
You probably wouldn’t have a problem at all, if you’d just had the time Saturday night to figure out what the kiss meant. But now that a whole day has passed and you haven’t seen him and you don’t know for sure, your mind keeps wandering down paths it should have stayed away from.
What if it’s a friends with benefits situation and you’ve just read too much into it? Maybe this is all he wants, making out, spending late nights together getting physical. Maybe that’s all. A heated makeout session on a roof doesn’t mean he feels the way you do. And do you even know how you feel? Fucking hell.
It’s the anxiety talking, the more logical part of you says, the part that sounds an awful lot like Maki. Your friends aren’t around to tell you how stupid you’re being, so the only texts you and Takuma have sent since Saturday night are playlists and song lyrics skirting around whatever truths you’re trying and failing to articulate.
Do I Wanna Know floats from the speaker on your desk, your phone next to your head on the bed, facedown and dormant. Do I wanna know if this feeling goes both ways?
Your door slams open and you jump up, whirling around to find Maki with her arms crossed, leaning on the frame. “Alright,” she says. “That’s the tenth time I’ve heard that godforsaken song. What the fuck is up with you?”
When you don’t respond, she steps inside and closes the door behind her, pauses the music, and then makes herself comfortable on the edge of your bed. “Talk to me,” she says. “You’re driving yourself crazy.” The words stall in your throat, useless, stagnant things as you avoid her knowing stare, instead staring at the popcorn ceiling until it blurs.
Maki sighs and shifts entirely onto the bed, turning herself to face you.
“I didn’t know you were home,” you say lamely.
“You’re driving me crazy, Skip,” she tries, and she knows you so fucking well, because the guilt trip is exactly what dislodges all those words built up in the back of your mouth—she breaks the dam and you spill your soul onto the quilted comforter, rambling, a rush of truths and things you thought you’d hidden from yourself but you can’t anymore. And she just listens, not looking away once.
You tell her everything: that you know you catch feelings fast, too fast. That despite your bleeding heart, you haven’t really been in a long-term relationship since high school. That you think of the future, of all the places you want to go, all the things you want to do, and there’s no guy in those dreams, and the thought of restructuring the life you’ve planned out for yourself around a boy who might be temporary is too much to even fathom. That—
“I kissed him,” you say breathlessly, bordering on hysterical, and you feel so stupid, this worked up over something so small, something that should be good. “I kissed him and now it feels real and now I’m freaking out.”
“I can see that,” Maki says calmly. “Let me ask you something. What is the worst thing that could happen, if you date him and it doesn’t last?”
“I…” You chew on your bottom lip, mind spinning through every bad outcome. “He could end up hating me, Maki. I could get some crazy job and have to leave, or he would come with me and leave his whole life behind and then he’d grow to resent me and we’d just be in some kind of hellish limbo until one of us snapped. Or he could—he could leave me, or we could try long distance and he could fall in love with somebody else, or I could, or—or—”
You flounder for a second, realizing your biggest worry is the one most immediate, the one most central to your life as it exists right now.
You’ve been sitting here thinking about big-picture things that are so far out, trying to make the feeling curdling in your gut feel like a valid reaction to a major life event. But that’s not what this is.
You’re just really, stupidly, pathetically scared that Takuma kissed you and didn’t mean it.
“Or—I guess that’s not the issue. Not really,” you admit quietly, not looking at Maki. She probably already knows. She has a way of knowing exactly what’s bothering you and just asking the right questions, getting you to talk yourself out of whatever hole your anxious mind has dug.
“I—it was just a kiss. What if he doesn’t want something serious right now, and I like him this way and he just wants something casual? I can’t do casual, Maki,” you say, raking a hand through your hair. “And it could fuck up this thing we have going. Yuji and Toge get along so well, and Nobara and the boys and Kirara, and Megumi’s your cousin, and I don’t wanna cause some weird, awkward rift, you know what I mean?”
Because it’s been so good, getting to know them. You don’t want to fuck up the dynamic just because you caught feelings too fast.
Maki leans back against your wall, humming as she thinks this over. “Okay. First of all, take a step back. Do you actually think you and Ino dating or not dating or whatever would mean I stop talking to my cousin? Or Nobara to the guys?” She raises a brow at you, unimpressed. “Seriously. I love you, Skipper, but you do not have that much power. These relationships existed before you knew Ino. Yuji is incapable of having conflict with anybody. And Toge doesn’t give a fuck about awkward relationship drama, he just wants to play Smash.”
As she speaks, you can feel your heart settling back into its home in your chest. Maki always knows what to say. Always.
“Second: Let me put it this way.” She levels you with a serious look. “You are so worked up about all these incredibly hypothetical situations. If you shut this down now, if you don’t act on what happened on Saturday, you’re still going to be worked up about hypotheticals. They’ll just be different ones. I know you, Skipper, you’re gonna drown yourself in what ifs. So you have to pick the lesser evil. There’s an unknown factor either way. Which one is gonna be worse?”
You groan, faceplanting into your bedspread. In the process, your forehead must hit play on your phone, because all of a sudden Arctic Monkeys blasts through the JBL again and Maki is grabbing your phone and saying, “Absolutely not. Nope. We are done with that.”
You look up at her helplessly. “Do I wanna know?” you choke out, half-laughing. “Because if I’m taking this out of proportion, if he doesn’t feel this way and I’m just another girl he kissed—”
“You’re not,” she says firmly. “Are you kidding me? Skip. That boy kisses the ground you walk on.” She shakes her head, some mix of fondness of exasperation flashing across her face. “You already know. The question isn’t if he likes you, or if you like him. It’s whether you’re gonna let it play out or shut it down before it has a chance to.”
Your door slams open, and Nobara strolls in and puts her hands on her hips. She glares at Maki and then at you.
“Please tell me I’m wrong,” she says, and you know you’re in for it, “but I believe you both had significant relationship developments this weekend and didn’t immediately call me? What the fuck? Spill.”
Abruptly, you feel like the worst friend in the world. Not necessarily because you haven’t filled Nobara in—she hasn’t been home—but because Maki is flushing pink, and you left her alone with Yuta on purpose, and it’s Monday, and you haven’t even asked what happened.
You look at Nobara. “Close the door.”
She does, but she doesn’t sit down, choosing instead to pace the room as she speaks. “Exhibit A: the plants have name tags and the handwriting is not Yuta’s. Exhibit B: I just came from down the street and Ino is acting weird as fuck.”
You sit straight up, suddenly on high alert. “Weird how? Did he say anything?”
“No. Like, the entire time. That’s the weird as fuck part.”
You turn to Maki, trying to read her. “Okay, what happened with Yuta? Was it when I left? Because if I wasn’t obvious enough—“
“You were very obvious, thank you,” Maki says, her blush deepening. “Uh, we made dinner. As you know.”
“It was good.”
Maki is pointedly looking everywhere but at you and Nobara, gaze darting from the ceiling to the bedspread to the door, as if she might escape the conversation. You hadn’t even noticed the plant name tags. That’s maybe the most sappy gesture that’s ever come from Maki Zenin.
“Mm. Yeah. Uh,” she says, eloquently. “We might have kissed. We might be… together.”
“Maki!” you and Nobara both scream, which results in Toge nearly breaking down your bedroom door five seconds later.
“What?” he demands. He clocks Maki’s bright red face and grins widely. “Aha! Yes. Good.”
“Wh—”
“Yuta won’t look me in the eyes, so I figured. You wanted to tell us all at once?”
Maki nods sheepishly.
“Too late!” Toge says cheerfully. “And he’s not home. So we can take this quality girls’ time to—”
“You are a man.”
“That’s the first time you’ve ever said that to me,” Toge tells Nobara, hand over his heart.
She swats at him in response and flops onto your floor, and Toge drops down beside her, you and Maki leaning over the edge of your bed to see them both.
"I ate your love pasta," you tell Maki, and she groans.
"This is why I don't tell you people things."
After the appropriate appoint of freaking out about Maki and Yuta (of course I knew, I always know, Nobara says), they make you go through the whole of Saturday night in detail.
You leave out the part about Takuma’s dad. That doesn’t feel like your story to tell.
When you get to I don’t think I’ve ever met anyone like you, Nobara blinks at you, and the innocent expression on her face means whatever she’s about to say is anything but. “So he told you you’re not like other girls?”
“Oh my god,” you groan, dragging your hands down your face.
“Oh, shit, Skipper!” Toge nearly shouts from the floor. “We have to go, like, two minutes ago.”
“Shit!” You scramble off the bed, shoving your laptop into your bag and weaving around Nobara, who has made no move to get off the floor. You and Toge have your usual Monday night class time to do field reporting, and you’re meeting up with Geto and Utahime.
The front door clicks open and closed, and you grin at Maki, who goes red. Yuta’s home. God, you wish you could stay for this.
“Hi, Yuta! Bye, Yuta!” you call on the way out the door, patting him on the head, and Toge follows suit with a much more aggressive motion that messes up Yuta’s hair.
“Oh, hi! Um. Bye?” Yuta’s startled laugh follows you out the door, and then you’re on your way.
You’re always on your way back to The Fix, eventually.
—
Utahime, notably a happier person in general when Gojo’s not around, lets Toge into the back to get some photos of the storeroom. That leaves you alone with Geto, back on the same stool as last time, phone on the counter as you watch him work, talking as he goes.
“Finished inventory,” he says, typing something rapidly on his laptop, “and now it’s budgeting. And yeah, that’s about what it looks like on the day to day. What else did you want to know?”
Geto is remarkably easy to talk to. He’s soft-spoken and articulate, a good listener, and you find yourself forgetting it’s an interview after a while, lost in conversation. You learn that he studied business in school, so opening an establishment like this wasn’t much of a stretch. He handles the finances and hiring, and he’s the one working with Panda on the Battle of the Bands. Gojo and Utahime bartend, Nanami is security, and Shoko handles everything else. It’s a small team, he says, but they work.
“I wanted to be able to be home for the girls when they were growing up, and this wound up being a great way to do that, schedule-wise,” he tells you. “And now they’re here, which is great. I wouldn’t say I ever saw myself opening a bar, back in college, but now that I’m here and Shoko and I have been running the place for a while, I’m not sure where else I ever could’ve ended up, y’know?”
You nod, head propped in your hand with your elbow on the counter. “So is this the dream? The endgame?” you ask. “Think you’ll stay a while?”
“Well,” he says, closing the laptop, “I think it comes down to doing something because you love it, not because other people love that you do it. Though right now, both of those things are true, which is fortunate for me." He leans on the bar counter, head tilted as he considers his words.
"If the work makes you happy, if the people there make you feel the same way, I think that’s worth hanging on to," he says. "If I ever stop loving the work, I suppose I’ll move on. I don’t see that happening, really, but if it does, I’ll roll with it. Whatever comes after.”
“That makes sense.” You sigh, leaning back in your chair. “Man, I wish the career thing was that clear-cut now. I know I have time, but it’s weird to think about.”
“Would you ever go further than this with the band, you think?” he asks, seeming genuinely curious. “Or is the journalism thing pretty much what your heart’s set on?”
You’ve thought about it. Drumming makes you feel alive like very few other things do, but you love writing, reporting, meeting people and telling their stories. You want to go for editor-in-chief next year when Tsumiki graduates, but the reality is that you won’t have so much time for the band if you get the job. And you love your band.
Not that it’ll be the same, anyway, without Maki and Yuta. That’s something you don’t love to think about.
“I don’t know,” you confess, sheepishly realizing you’re still recording, that you’re supposed to be the one asking the questions. “I don’t think… that the band is ever necessarily going to be a professional thing. Maki and Yuta have all these big career plans. And it’s like, how much do I invest in that now, knowing it’s not… forever? When the journalism thing, the career, might be? I don’t know.”
“You know, I don’t think it matters all that much whether it’s forever,” Geto shrugs. “If it gave you what you needed at the time, wouldn’t it be worth it?”
He glances up at you, taking in the lines of your face, the tapping of your fingers against your other arm. You kind of feel like he sees something you don’t.
“Here’s some unsolicited advice, kid. On the record. Maybe life is short, maybe not. But regardless, your heart is not a finite thing.” His eyes are soft but not sad, serious but with a sort of levity that’s wise and not regretful. You think, idly, that you would find it very hard not to trust him. “If you’ve got something, love it while you have it.”
Something tells you he’s not talking about the band anymore. Or maybe that’s just you, looking for answers where there aren’t any.
“Thanks, Geto,” you say, turning off the recording. “This has been really helpful.”
Your heart is not a finite thing. And you think you’ve made up your mind.
imagine how cute it would be if skz 9th member had either a young kid or had custody of their young sibling. the boys helping out with raising the kid, like having 8 fun uncles or brothers. maybe a touch of angst about negative publicity about the reader having a young kid. i just think it would be cute if sometimes the kid was seen in the back of mvs sometimes or in the games they play. basically just skz with kids makes my heart melt <33
MAIN MASTERLIST
"Unnie! Unnie!" the sound of your younger sister calling for you filled the room, small footsteps padding across the floor until she found you and wrapped her arms around your legs, you picking her up in response.
"Were you looking for me?" you smiled at her, booping her nose and getting a giggle in response. You loved it when she laughed.
There was a time in your life when you thought you'd never see her smile again. 2 years ago, when she had only been 4 years old, and you, 18 years old, your parents had gotten into a fatal car accident, no other family around to be able to look after her. It was a hard time, just coming into a time out of lockdown when you had hoped to be able to see them again, yet that had all been taken away from you, at least you had your sister, Jisun. You were thankful to the company that they allowed you to look after her, as you really doubted that it would have been possible.
"Wanted a hug!" Jisun clung onto you, nuzzling her head into your neck, making you laugh.
"Made some breakfast, Sunny, want some pancakes sweetie?" you asked her, giggling yourself when she squirmed out of your arms and nodded. For someone who was so clingy in the mornings, food could really affect her mood.
Jisun had been really quiet after the death of your parents. She was sad, non verbal, always wearing a vacant expression. You were so glad that the boys were there to support you taking care of her, and lift her spirits. Her older brothers, who she each called 'oppa', could certainly bring her out of a bad day, even if it took all of them trying to make her laugh or sing to her. It surprised you at first, how much it had affected her. Selfishly, you hoped that she didn't remember them that much, but only so she didn't get more hurt in the process. But it was only a couple of months into being her primary guardian that you realised she did remember them. She couldn't forget about the cuddles from your mother, or being tucked in at night by your father, but she found a piece of that in you and the rest of the boys.
"Are there any pancakes left for us?" Chan rubbed his eyes tiredly as he entered the kitchen, the boys following in soon after, each of them hugging you in some sort of way.
"Nope, just for my Jisun," you teased as you did her hair from where she was sat at the table.
"Plaits or ponytail?"
"Pony pony!" Jisun cheered, making you and the rest of the boys coo at her.
"Pony pony!" Changbin and Felix cheered along with her.
"Ponytail it is my Sunny," you smoothed down her hair before fulfilling her request.
"I'm joking by the way, there's some pancake mixture left I'll make some more in-"
"It's fine, Y/Nnie, we'll finish up with it. Have you done some for yourself yet?" Lee Know got up and stirred the mixture so it didn't stick to the bowl, before pouring some into the pan.
"Ah not yet, I got distracted, but-"
"No buts, finish getting Jisun ready, sort yourself out, and then we'll have it here waiting for you," Seungmin waved you off, but you weren't going to let them deny you that easily.
"It's fine just let me," you began, only to be cut off again.
"No, take some time for yourself, yeah? We can look after Jisun too," Hyunjin got up and patted your shoulders, steering you around making you giggle as he gently pushed you towards the direction of your room.
With a sigh you got ready, so grateful to be surrounded by people around you who supported and understood your situation. At the start, when your situation had been revealed to the world that Jisun was now in your custody, fans hadn't taken to the situation too kindly. Some of them, instead of sending messages wishing you well and hoping that you would be ok, thought it was a ploy to cover up the fact that Jisun was your child. They thought JYP was so messed up that they faked your parents' deaths just to be used as a cover-up that you were a mother from the age of 16. You would have mixed preferred that if it meant your parents were still here with you, at least then you would have been able to have seen them become grandparents. Stays, the real ones, soon became more understanding of your situation, many of them calling you brave, and saying that they wouldn't have been able to do it at your age. 2 years on, at the age of 20, you didn't know yourself how you had been managing it. It just felt so natural.
"Y/Nnie? You ok?" Jeongin tentatively knocked at your open door, seeing you sat and staring blankly into space.
"Hmm?" you blinked yourself out of your thoughts, spraying some perfume on before grabbing your phone and Jisun's bag ready for the day.
"You were in your world again," Jeongin laughed at, brushing some stray hairs out of your face.
"Oh sorry, was just umm, making sure I had everything for Jisun ready today, it's the first time she's come along with us to an interview in a while," you smile shortly, yet it didn't fully reach your eyes as you headed back into the kitchen.
"Eat up, Y/Nnie," Han placed a plate in front of you as instructed by Lee Know and patted your head as he returned to his own seat.
"How long til we have to leave?" you asked, not even taking a bite yet.
"About five minutes, but we can take longer if we need, you haven't even eaten yet, I don't want you to rush," Chan said to you sternly, knowing you'd often forget about things in favour of the young girl sat in his lap.
"Is Jisunnie excited?" you asked your younger sister with a smile, taking a bite of your breakfast as she mirrored your facial expression.
"Yes! I miss the staff unnies and oppas!" she cheered.
"Oh, so you won't miss your oppas?" Changbin tickled her sides as she burst out laughing.
"Dwaekki oppa is too loud!" she yelled with laughter.
"I think you've got some competition there, Binnie," you laughed at Jisun contradicting herself, yelling just as, if not louder than Changbin.
Soon you had finished your food and it was time to head to the interview. You weren't nervous per say, but you knew it was more of a sit down and chatting interview which meant personal questions too.
"Sunny, be a good girl for your unnies, yeah?" you kissed her on the head.
"Yes Y/Nnie unnie!" she cutely placed a kiss on your cheek before following the stylists and managers backstage, watching in a room with a screen to see your interview unfold.
You couldn't help but watch over where she had walked off.
"Come on, she'll be fine," Felix guided you towards the stage, where chairs were set up in front of an audience, the interviewer, Kaelee, was sat waiting.
"Here we have, Stray Kids!" the audience went wild as you all walked in, taking a seat.
There were questions about music here and there, and then almost felt the air get thicker as her eyes shifted towards you. Thankfully a gentle smile was accompanied with it.
"So, Y/N, we understand that you take care of your sister?" she asked you.
"Ah yes, my Jisunnie, she is the sweetest girl," you replied with a smile, shyly looking down at your lap, when the audience cooed as photos of the two of you, and some with the boys appeared on screen.
"Those are our girls," Chan couldn't help but admit, the boys nodding along as the Stays 'awwed' once more.
"Boys, what do you make of Y/N here as an older sister, is she good?" Kaelee put the question out to everyone.
"I think she's really brave," Jeongin nodded.
"She's inspiring for sure," Minho added on.
"Her bravery, to go through what she has at such a young age, and raise a child, I think she's doing amazing," Hyunjin sweetly said, wrapping a comforting arm around your shoulder as you wiped some stray tears away.
"Well, on that note, if it's ok with you, Y/N, should we bring out Jisun?" Kaelee double checked it was ok with you before your personal manager, who was Jisun's favourite, walked her out. Jisun soon ran straight into your lap, nearly tackling you back against the floor as the audience cheered and squealed wildly.
"Not too loud, Sunny?" you whispered into the girl's ear as she turned to face the audience whilst sat in your lap.
"No it's ok!" she giddily smiled, holding onto your hands.
"Wow! It's like she's made for the screen! Jisunnie, can you do aegyo?" Kaelee asked her.
You couldn't see exactly what she did, but it looked like she held up a peace sign at the audience and grinned, showing off her adorable gummy smile. The whole time Stays saw you smiling behind her proudly, and thought that it was the most mature they had ever seen you, when you were around Jisun.
"I taught her that!" Changbin cheered, folding his arms as he was proud of himself.
"No, Seungminnie oppa did," Jisun turned to correct Changbin, making you all burst out into laughter.
"Wow, Jisun you really are so funny. What do you want to be when you're older?" Kaelee wiped a tear of laughter away and neatened up her cue cards as she asked Jisun another question. You rubbed her arms soothingly in case she got nervous.
"I want to be like unnie!" Jisun looked up at you as she said this, making your heart melt into a puddle on the floor.
"Oh really?" you almost felt emotional, managing to hold it back for the rest of the interview as you walked off at the end, holding Jisun's hand.
"Oppa will hold your hand, Jisunnie," Felix took her hand, sending a sympathetic smile your way as he walked her to the cars.
You lightly sniffle as you wiped a tear away.
"Ah, Y/Nnie, what are we going to do with you?" Han playfully sighed as he walked next to you with an arm around your shoulder.
"Sorry, I'm just, I'm so proud of her and when she said-" you couldn't finish your sentence, tears falling from your eyes.
"Aish, come here, love, it's ok," Han pulled you into a hug, tightly securing you to him as you felt safe in his warm embrace.
"You know that we're proud of you too?" Chan came up beside the two of you.
"Yeah, I know, I know," you laugh lightly as you wipe your eyes, "gosh I feel so silly, she's just growing up so quickly."
"We see it too, but don't think you have to raise her on your own, we're here for the both of you. So if you ever need time to yourself, we'll look after her, you know that," Chan kissed you on the head.
"What you went through, no one should have to, you're so young, Y/Nnie," Han wiped tears from your cheeks.
"I'm only 3 years younger than you," you laughed at him.
"I'm being sentimental, let me be. Now come on, bet Jisun is wondering where you are. We better head to the cars," Han suggested, Chan nodding which ultimately made the three of you head to the cars.
You and Jisun had lost your parents, but you both had 8 brothers there for you. It was an odd family, and not just by personalities, but somehow, you all made it work.
Easy, Tiger
pairing; kwon soonyoung (hoshi) x reader
genre; smut
warnings; oral (m receiving), public sexual act, exhibitionism, cum eating (ig if you count swallowing), pet names
w/c; 1.4k and some change
requested; no
a/n; happy birthday to my favorite tiger! this idea came from dk posting these wonderful pictures of hoshi from his birthday post and then @junkissed and @duhnova saying something that made me go....hm
before continuing remember reblogs are incredibly important and please read how to support me here
You smile watching Soonyoung tip back the glass of soju. He looked happy and that was all you could really ask for on his birthday. Reaching for your own soju glass you tip it back before laughing when you feel your boyfriend’s hand grab your free one.
Soonyoung was full of all of his favorite foods and he had gotten to spend the evening with his favorite person in the entire world. Lacing his fingers with yours, Soonyoung watches you put your glass back on the table before you finally meet his eyes.
Neither of you were too far gone. Just a single bottle of soju shared between the two of you, but it was still just enough to make the conversation easy. Tilting your head you lean your jaw on your free hand as you feel Soonyoung’s thumb circling your palm.
“Quick, name one thing you’d want for your birthday that you think you’d never get?”
Soonyoung laughs into a snort at the question. His eyes narrow softly, he lets out a sigh before answering as quickly as he can.
“Ah…fuck, head by the river.”
Raising a brow, you watch Soonyoung seem to realize what he had said. The warmth spreads over his cheeks and you watch your sweet sometimes chaotic boyfriend try to revert to his introverted self. His shoulders pull tight as a laugh slips from his lips, an explanation on the tip of his tongue.
“I–I mean, I’m just kidding. That’s an at home thing. Behind the closed doors of our bedroom thing, I’m just drunk. Don’t listen to me.”
Smiling, you lift your head and brush your fingers over Soonyoung’s jaw causing the man to shiver under your touch. His eyes fall on yours and Soonyoung can’t help but to swallow hard knowing that look in your eye.
“Let’s go. Still a few hours of your birthday left.”
Soonyoung knew you loved him and were adventurous. He knew that the two of you had talked about fantasies before, and that exhibitionism had come up more than once but he never thought he would find himself actually in this situation.
Shivering to the feeling of the tip of your tongue barely grazing the tip of his cock, Soonyoung whines your name finally looking down at you on your knees on the walking path. His heart felt like it was going to beat out of his chest. He was so excited and nervous at the same time.
“Baby…this is crazy. I love it, fuck I love it so much, but what if someone walks–sees us?”
Smiling against Soonyoung’s cock, you glance up at the handsome man giving him a mischievous look that causes him to feel weak on his feet.
“Do you want them to?”
Starting to speak, Soonyoung doesn’t really know what his answer is, but you stop him from having to formulate an explanation by wrapping your warm mouth around him. Closing his eyes, Soonyoung groans quietly. You were so good at this, and it was clouding his mind to the point Soonyoung could almost forget where he was. If it weren’t for the constant sound of the river behind him, the brush of the wind though his hair, and the honk of distant horns, Soonyoung would completely let down his guard.
“Oh, shit…babe. I–God, it feels so good but, ah!”
You were listening to him. You knew that Soonyoung was nervous, but it was so late and you were in such a secluded part of the path you weren’t that worried someone would come by. If they did, at this point you weren’t sure you’d care. Taking more of Soonyoung into your mouth, you moan around his length feeling how the girth of his cock stretches your lips. You can’t help but to feel your underwear becoming damp with your own arousal at the memories of how he stretches you in the same way every time he fucks you.
Sliding his hand over the top of your head, Soonyoung leans back against the railing behind him. His nails dig into the wood as he closes his eyes for a moment before he knows he wants to look back down at you. The moment he does, Soonyoung can’t help the groan that forms in his throat or how he thrusts towards your mouth causing you to gag around him.
He loves the way you look on your knees for him. You were always perfect, but it was moments like this when you were completely vulnerable for him, his cock down your throat or buried deep inside of you that Soonyoung had burned into his mind. This would be something he would never forget.
Pulling back, you let your tongue press to the underside of Soonyoung’s cock to run along the pulsing vein that told you everything you wanted to know about the man standing in front of you. He was getting so close. Sitting back on your heels, you meet Soonyoung’s eyes as you catch your breath.
The man watches your tongue run along your lips as your hand moves over his wet cock. Gasping out your name, Soonyoung knew he was leaking pre-cum obscenely over your hand, but he couldn’t find a reason to care until the sound of people talking nearby drew his attention.
You watch Soonyoung start to panic, his stomach sucks-in dramatically as he takes a deep breath. You can only smile at him lifting your finger to your lips to tell him to be quiet as Soonyoung shakes his head at you mouthing, ‘Are you crazy?’
“Easy, Tiger. Eyes on me, hmm?”
Soonyoung scoffs, his eyes staying on you like you had instructed him. He does his best to keep his groan quiet when you take him back into your mouth. Logic was telling him that you should both stop in case the people he heard got any closer but your soft, warm mouth around him caused him to throw any logic he had into the river behind him.
“Please…so close.”
Moaning around Soonyoung, you roll your tongue around his head as your hand twists at his base. Glancing up at him to meet his eyes, you smirk before sinking down over Soonyoung to take as much of him into your mouth as you can. You feel your boyfriend’s nails raking over your scalp and hear the sound of his groan getting caught in his throat.
You knew exactly how to get what you wanted from Soonyoung and how to give him what he wanted. So, when you looked at Soonyoung like that and went down on him the way you did, the man didn’t stand a chance. Soonyoung saw white briefly and the river sounded like blood rushing to his ears as thick warm cum spilled into your mouth.
Sitting back on your heels once again, you swallow what you can of Soonyoung’s cum as he finally opens his eyes to look down at you. You made it difficult for him to catch his breath by just looking at you, but with each delicate kitten lick to catch any remaining drips of cum, Soonyoung wondered if you were trying to make it impossible for him to reach his 28th birthday.
Carefully slipping himself back into his pants, Soonyoung then helps you to your feet before pulling you to his lips. Groaning on your lips, the man can’t help but to enjoy the taste of himself when it was on your lips. It is only then, when he is lost in your embrace and your kiss that he can’t seem to care when the voices he had heard earlier grow closer and pass by.
Smiling on his lips, you nudge your nose against Soonyoung’s causing him to laugh just as you do. Your arms around his shoulders, your boyfriend sighs on your lips before leaning his head back so he can meet your eyes furrowing his brows with a longing look into your eyes.
“Can we go home? I think by the time we get there I can return the favor…and we won’t have an audience.”
Laughing again, you nod making Soonyoung smile, his hand moving to take yours.
“Sure, but you don’t have to return the favor. It’s your birthday Soonyoung, and that was your wild birthday wish. I was simply giving you what you wanted.
Shaking his head, Soonyoung pulls you closer to him as he walks, a breath falling from his lips in a whisper about how crazy you are.
“You said something I thought I’d never get. I didn’t think we’d end up at the river with my pants at my knees.”
Smiling brightly, you glance at Soonyoung wiggling your brows.
“Mm, well…you are welcome. Happy Birthday, Tiger.”
There's something that really irritates me about the Marauders fandom, I don't know if it's an unpopular opinion or not, but I don't care.
It really bothers me the way y'all talk about fanfic. Sometimes I think some people here forget that fanfics aren't written by professional authors, it's something that someone is writing for fun and that you can read for free. you shouldn't be criticizing them as if they were published books written by professional authors.
You have every right in the world to be reading something and not like it, but do you know what is the right thing to do? Just close the tab and go look for something that you like more. Don't make videos on tik tok talking bad about the story. I'm really impressed by the number of videos talking bad about fanfics, trashing them. Have some shame… I always think that when I go into the comments of this type of video I will find people criticizing this type of stance in the comments, but I never do. The comments are always full of people criticizing other fanfics not mentioned in the video.
just imagine writing a fanfic and posting it for free for others to read, something you wrote just for entertainment, and then opening tik tok and having thousands of people talking bad about you and your writing. and I'm specifically talking about Tik Tok because that's where I see it happening the most and where these videos have the more reach, but I know it also happens on others social media. I don't know if it happens here, but for example on Twitter I know it does.
and I'm speaking as someone who has never experienced this, I've never published any Harry Potter fanfic. lol and I don't see that happening in other fandoms (and also my stories have very little reach, so I don't think it would happen to me).
and another thing that bothers me, which is still within the subject of how this fandom treats fanfic, is that y'all really seem to have lost track of what that word means. the way I see some people talking disdainfully about fanfics that aren't ''very realistic''. buddy, it's FANFIC. Fanfic doesn't have to be realistic. I see a lot of people saying ''Ah, finally a fanfic that treats the 70s in a realistic way'', it's okay if you PREFER the fanfic to be realistic, that's personal taste. But it's not okay to treat fanfics that aren't realistic with disdain. One is not better than the other, being more realistic does not give more merit. Because it's just the author's choice, how they wants the story to be.
I myself prefer fanfics that aren't realistic, because as a lesbian I'm already fed up with homophobia in real life, and this is dealt with in almost every story with LGBTQIA+ people in books, films, etc… at least in fanfic I can pretend it doesn't exist.
again, personal taste is one thing, but thinking that some fanfics are better written than others just because they suit your tastes better its not okay. and treating what you don't like as inferior, with disdain… that's the problem.
Anyway, this outburst ended up getting bigger than I thought it would. lol I don't know if anyone will read this but I just wanted to get it off my chest. and if some parts were confusing, well, im sorry, but english is not my first language. and sometimes it's difficult to express myself.
ah, I'm part of several fandoms, but I only refer to the marauders because it's something I only see happening here. Maybe because it's the biggest fandom I'm part of, as the others are much more niche. but if it happens in other fandoms, have shame too. lol It's not cool for this to happen in any fandom.
Okay first order of business- Sini you’re a genius and I love reading your works, like I have a list of Tumblr blogs in my notes app that I check weekly (poor short-term memory so I always forget the names/authors of fics I like) and you were one of the first ones on my list.
Second order of business is the thought I had that I thought you might enjoy, it spawned into existence while I was reading the Morax Cuteness Aggression post and I want you to consider this:
Adeptus!Reader who’s a frequent subject (read “victim”) of his cuteness aggression or even just silly centuries-old-dragon affection. It makes it even funnier- in a cute way- that this could probably go on for several decades, given the average lifespan of an Adeptus; there’s no escaping being Zhongli’s favourite little beastie, you’re stuck with him (not like that’s a bad thing, though).
You’re meditating peacefully in Jueyun Karst, knelt in the grass as birds chirp in the trees, leaves rustling gently in the wind. It’s so calm, so serene, and you just feel so relaxed… and then all of a sudden the ground beneath you starts shaking- it’s an earthquake??? You’re too busy being shaken like a maraca to notice your God, several hundred yards away, watching you struggle to find your footing with a soft and smitten smile on his face.
Another day you decide to try something Madame Ping recommended to you, Tai Chi, and as you move gracefully, beginning to really get in the zone and get the hang of it, a stone pillar has just erupted from the ground inches in front of you; you back up to avoid it, only for another appear, then another and another. The next thing you know, you’re dodging stone pillars left and right- where the hell are they even coming from? When you complain of the strange occurrence later to Xiao, he chooses not to mention that Morax had been taking a walk in that particular area around the same time.
You’re taking a walk just outside the harbour- dealing with humans can be so tiring sometimes- and a patch of flowers catches your eye. You kneel down in front of them, gently running your hands across the soft petals and inhaling the sweet smell of wildflowers; you’re an Adeptus, after all, you’re connected to nature and the earth like nothing else. It puts a serene smile on your face and instantly brightens your mood, you pluck one of the flowers and put it behind your ear and- when did all this damn cor lapis get here?? You just blinked and suddenly there’s chunks of it poking out of the ground all around you. Who could have done that?
Maybe Adeptus!Reader has a tail of some kind, maybe part or fully dragon (capable of shapeshifting and just likes looking partially like a dragon? I don’t know). Reader gets a little nervous and antsy at a gathering, pulling their tail across their lap and wringing it gently in their hands as a self-soothing gesture, they gaze off distantly and somehow fail to register the sound of stone cracking. The culprit is Morax, gripping the stone table he sits at with such force that it crumbles beneath his hands because FUCK that’s so cute- do you even know what you do to him??
Just thoughts of silly silly Morax letting his heart get the better of him when his favourite Adeptus, his beloved reader, is just so darn cute.
Waaahhh thank you for reading and enjoying my stuff a lot!! ♡♡
My GOODNESS this is too cute!!! Smiling so wide reading this!! Morax being a big silly sweetie with the way he expresses his cuteness-aggression AH I'm in love with these scenarios!! The bit with the tail omg I can't!!
Eventually reader might connect the dots...but it could take a few thousand years, heh. Maybe they're savoring some lovely sweets they'd brought back from a trip to Fontaine, wiggling in glee at the flavours...and then a bunch of sparrows made of Geo materialise out of nowhere and take flight?? You stare at them in confusion, reminded of how Rex Lapis used to summon Geo animals too, and just then Zhongli of the Wangsheng Funeral Parlor passes by, externally as calm as a leaf on still water.
#sini answers#OBSESSED with this thank you#we stan a god who gets intense cuteness aggression#zhongli#morax
°☆○ 1.50♡ ~ part 1
𝑫𝒂𝒛𝒂𝒊
this smug bastard takes advantage of your state in the most subtle ways; lingering touches, flirtatious smiles and passionate kisses
at work he teases you more than usually, describing all the sinful things he'd do to you if you were in a more private setting👀 really just gets you all riled up for nothing
but when you two get home he acts like a completely different person
"What, bella? do you need something from me?" he always asks with a smirk on his face "Maybe some assistance with your little... situation?"
doesn't lay a finger on you until you practically beg him (nicely); it's not like he'll ever admit it but hearing your desperate pleas really boosts his ego
he does his best to help you in other ways too. he'll do more chores around the house and write your reports at work if you really can't handle them. overall he's a good guy♡
Dazai was lounging around the office, wasting time and avoiding his chores; since you had been sent on a mission, your boyfriend didn't had much else to do. He had his headphones on and was listening to some funky song when you suddenly walked behind him.
Leaning over his frame, you swiftly hooked a finger beneath one of the speakers and lifted it.
"Boo" you whispered lowly, your hot breath sending a shiver down his spine.
"Ah bella here you are. How's my pretty girl doing?" He tried to get up from the couch but you pressed further on his back.
"Bella... Come on let me get up and give you a kiss. I missed you" he whined
"Oh trust me baby. I want way more than a kiss" you said in a teasing voice.
In a matter of seconds, Dazai was back on his feet and had you pinned down on the couch, a mocking smile on his face.
"You're that desperate for me, bella? You've only been gone for a couple of hours. You really can't spend that little time without my touch?"
Your gaze darted around the room, hoping that no one could witness the position you were in.
"I'm in heat, Dazai." you confessed quietly.
"What was that? I didn't quite catch it?"
"I said..." you began, rosy petal blooming on your cheeks "I said that I'm in heat, Osamu. Because of my ability"
"And what does that have to do with me, huh?" he tauned, lips hovering just above the shell of your ear. "Do you perhaps want me to have my way with you here? In the office?"
Your body quivered slightly at the sound of his low voice, making him giggle.
"Get up, bella. And go finish your job so we can leave early."
You nodded your head in agreement before straightening yourself. As you were making your way back to your desk, your boyfriend called out to you:
"Oh and bella?"
"Yes?" you asked sweetly
"Don't forget to ask Kunikida for a free day tomorrow. You'll be needing it after tonight" he replied with a wink, causing your blush to deepen.
𝑱ō𝒏𝒐
you don't have to tell him that you're in heat, he can smell your arousal
just like Dazai, this man gives you the most condescending smile and shamelessly teases you throughout the day
if you work someplace else he'll send you texts to check up on you and gently remind you that he'll provide any help you need once he gets home
but if you're part of the Hunting Dogs good luck. he's all over you all day, making snarky remarks about your "condition"
Jōno also likes to hear you beg; hearing your thumping heartbeat and sweet voice when you tell him how much you crave him really turns him on
will cook breakfast for you if you're too tired in the morning
Jōno woke up with warm sunshine on his face and your sleeping figure next to him. This hour and a half before work, when you'd both wake up and cuddled for a while then have breakfast together was among his most cherished moments.
Usually you'd wake up just minutes after him, turning to face him with a wide smile on your face as you sleepily uttered a "Good morning Sai" and showered him with kisses. Except you didn't do that today.
Jōno knew by the accelerated rhythm of your heart that you were awake, but you were not moving an inch.
"Darling? Is there something wrong?" he asked softly, placing his hand on your waist.
You quickly shook your head as you curled up in a fetal position "No, I'm good, I'm okay". Your voice was shaky and low, as if you were pain.
"Baby please, if you're hurt or not feeling well then please-"
And then it hit him; a strong, intoxicating scent coming from your body. A cocky smirk rose to his lips when he finally understood the cause of your distress.
"You're in heat, aren't you?"
You suddenly turned to face him with a pleading look on your face. "Yea..."
"Well then we must do something about that" he teased, his hand sliding to your thigh. "Would be a shame to let you go to work like this."
Your boyfriend expected you to protest just like you normally did when he initiated such things in the morning, but today you were so compliant. You scooted closer to him, leaning into his touch; eyes glazed in lust.
"Well aren't you needy today, princess?" he inquired playfully. He gently pushed you onto your back and spread your legs, the tips of his fingers skimming along your clothed slit.
"You're so wet already, princess. I can feel it through your clothes" The little moan that left your lips when his lithe digits slid beneath the wristband of your yoga shorts reverberated through Jōno's entire body.
With a swift tug at your pants and underwear he had you undressed, thumb lazily circling your clit. His hot breath fanned against your parted lips.
"Sai, gimme more~" you babbled out, fiercely seizing his wrist as you guided his fingers to your entrance.
Your boyfriend only smiled at your desperate attempt, ceasing his ministrations. "Take what you're given, sweetie. Or I won't give you anything at all" he purred, teeth grazing the shell of your ear.
You immediately complied with his order and released his arm. "Good girl. See, it wasn't that hard, was it?"
Suddenly, he plunged two of his fingers into you; stretching your leaking hole. A ragged moan escaped your parted lips as your nails dug into his forearm, causing your boyfriend to smirk. Your sinful sounds were like music to his ears, clouding his mind with lust. There was nothing he loved more than coaxing those delicious moans and whimpers out of you.
His digits pumped in and out of you at a steady pace; his thumb resuming its circular motions on your puffy clit.
"God baby I'm so close" you uttered in a ragged voice, thighs instinctively squeezing together.
Just as you felt the familiar heat pooling in your core, Jōno removed his hand from your underwear.
"Won't you look at that, love. We gotta go to work or we'll be late." he said tauntingly. You let out a loud hiss at the loss of touch.
"Sai, don't you dare leave me like this-" you cried out but it was too late. Your boyfriend was already on his way to the bathroom.
The rest of the morning was spent in silence hence you decided to punish your partner for teasing you. Of course, you were aware of how much Jōno enjoyed himself; a scornful laughter escaping his lips whenever you dodged his touch and kisses.
"I'm gonna head out, love. Good luck at work!" he voiced before leaving, but you didn't reply. A few seconds after you heard the door of your shared apartment close with a thud.
You spent most of the day in a state of utter annoyance and frustration, not being able to focus on any task you were given. All you wanted was for your partner to take care of your needs but instead he treated you like a plaything, leaving you brimming with pent-up desires.
Around 2 p.m, your phone chimed, announcing that you just received a text from Jōno. A rosy blush rose to your cheeks as your eyes scanned the glowing screen:
'Hi princess, I hope you're doing well at work. I know you're yearning for my touch but I promise I won't leave you unsatisfied tonight. Just be my good little girl and wait a few more hours. I know you can do it♡"
It's safe to say that that night, your boyfriend kept his promise.
𝑻𝒆𝒄𝒄𝒉𝒐𝒖
my sweet angel he's the most caring person ever istg. he's a bit confused when you tell him that you're in heat since he doesn't really know how that affects him??
but once you explain that you'll need him he blushes so hard; but he takes it well
Tecchou take princess treatment to another level during this time. You get to relax after work while he does all the chores and cooks food
he prepares baths for you or spontaneously buys you a bouquet of roses♡ he's really sweet
you're never left unsatisfied in bed, like never. he has an incredible stamina and a never ending need to please you
The setting sun painted the blue sky of Yokohama in shades of purple, red and ochre, a warm light glowing through the high ceiling windows of the building. Tecchou was compiling his last report for the day when you peeked your head through the open doors of his office.
"Hi Hiro. Got a minute?" you beamed, lips curling into an impish smile.
"Of course, darling. Come inside."
Your sweet boyfriend didn't suspect anything as you closed the door and walked up to him, hips swaying gracefully. You positioned yourself on his lap, snaking your arms around his neck.
"So Hiro. How soon can we go home?"
"Soon. I just need to finish the paperwork." he replied, pointing at the half written page with his black fountain pen.
You pushed your lower lip forward into a pout, impatiently swinging your legs. "Ok but how soon is soon?"
Without taking his eyes off of the report, your boyfriend shrugged. "In a few minutes but... if I may ask, why are you so eager to get home, darling?"
"Oh, well" you said in a honeyed voice "I don't know if I ever told you this but because of my cat-shifting ability I sometimes experience heats"
"And?" he pressed, utterly unaware of what you were implying. His slender fingers were gingerly caressing your hips, making you shift uncomfortably in his lap.
"What I'm saying is that I'm horny, Hiro. And I need you to fuck me."
Your boyfriend's eyes shot open and he droppen the pen, little droplets of ink splattering the pearly sheet; the grip he had on your hip also tightened.
Pleased with his reaction, you ran one hand down his chest, slightly tugging at the buttons of his vest. "But of course we don't need to be home for that. There's plenty of space here" you added, patting his wooden desk.
Upon hearing your daring proposal, Tecchou's face turned a light shade of pink. "I mean... We're at the office my love but I promise I'll take care of you at home, ok?"
You give him a small nod and a peck on the cheek before hopping off his lap. "I'll be waiting for you in the car. Hurry up"
As you walked towards the door you could hear a sudden rustling of paper as your boyfriend haphazardly attempted to finish his work. He caught up with you just as you were exiting the building; of course, you didn't fail to notice his ragged breath. He'd probably ran down the stairs. You let out a soft chuckle as you noticed this.
"So, darling. Is there anything else I can do for you besides, you know...?" he asked sweetly "I mean, how does this affect you?"
"Well, I tend to lack in energy levels and I have a terrible attention span. I was actually thinking about taking a week off work 'till I feel better."
"I see..." After thinking for a few moments, Tecchou grabbed both of your hand and spoke in a solemn voice "Then I will do my best to do as many chores around the house. I'll cook dinner for us too so don't worry about it. Just focus on feeling better, ok?"
The look on his face was of pure devotion and determination; causing warmth to pool in your core.
You rose to the tips of your toes and cupped his face with your warm hands before pressing your lips on his. The kiss was tender and loving at first, but you soon found one of your hands entangled in his coffee-coloured locks as soft moans rolled off your lips. He swiftly scooped you up and made his way to your car.
Your boyfriend placed you in the backseat before taking off his cape and discarding it on the passanger's seat.
"Wait, Hiro. What are you doing?"
His skilled fingers quickly undid the buttons of his vest and he slid it off his shoulders, leaving him only in his tank top which showed his toned arms. All this time his hungry gaze was locked with yours, making you shiver with anticipation.
"Well darling. I guess you're not the only who's eager tonight" he said before joining you in the rear seat; hurriedly closing the door behind him.
