Henri Mattisse switched from painting to cut outs after colon cancer limited his mobility, and later he would loose some of his eye sight too.

You know who else had eye sight problems and even was declared blind at one point?

Mother fucking Monet! Dude had cataracts, and so lost his sight slowly until he got medical intervention and even after he had to use special glasses.

Is easy to see how his work was affected by this, even art critics at the time pointed it out, but he kept painting to the time of if DEATH.

And out of visual arts there is also this iconic bitch of a dude Ludwig van Beethoven that went deaf and yet he kept composing using a mix of the vibrations of the piano and pure spite.
