congratulations to shinee for winning the domestic popularity award at the 30th golden disc awards! with this win it marks the fifth time that shinee has won a popularity as a group, though you could also count it as the seventh time seeing as both taemin and toheart took home a popularity award each at the disk sector of the ceremony last year. the years that shinee have taken up an award in the category include: 2009, 2010, 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016. this means that the only three years that they have since their debut include: 2008 (their debut year), 2011 (when a ceremony wasn’t held) and 2012 (which was for releases in 2011 which is a year that they didn’t have an korean releases). congratulations again!

the story by jonghyun [epilogue] ♡ 151213 (concert ii) jonghyun: what is your biggest worry lately? fan: (who revealed herself to be fifteen years old} about the seoul music awards voting rate. oppa, you have to receive it. jonghyun: when are the seoul music awards? there’s an inkisang (popularity award) and bonsang (grand prize) done by voting, right? are you worrying about that? fans: yes. jonghyun: ah~. everyone, an award is just a title. we’re not people who do music to receive awards. obviously, we’re thankful when we do get them. we really thank the fans’ dedication but i don’t want you guys to argue with each other because of that. you’re all supporting shinee because you like us, right? i know you guys all share the same heart but, sometimes, things just happen. i hear from my company from time to time and i get upset. i don’t want our fans to fight with each other. fans: we’re not fighting~. jonghyun: not fighting? oh, you guys aren’t fighting?
