Yeah i think it was a general consensus that it was fake bc it leaked on April 1 and JLH also leaked the exact same script page that same day. THAT BEING SAID, I personally believe it's real. If Bobby really died, it would be pretty sick of the show to make an April fools joke out of him potentially living, knowing the funeral had just leaked everywhere. Like, that's not a gun joke to give us hope, it's mean if he really dies. Also, being presumed dead and then buried alive is *SUCH* a 9-1-1 thing, it's just way too believable.

Let's run with the assumption that the leaked script of Bobby being buried alive is real. For a minute. Indulge me.

They get the cure, but they only have enough to save Chimney (and anyone else who might get sick). Bobby is also infected but he insists his team get the cure.

The team is allowed to exit the bunker into a quarantine, but Bobby is infected and has to stay behind, knowing he will die of the virus. They also have to destroy the underground lab, blow it up, to destroy the virus so it can't get loose. Bobby knows this, accepts his fate, says goodbye to Athena and Buck. It's very sad. They blow up the lab.

Cut to Bobby, buried under the rubble, still alive but presumed dead. Not knowing how he survived the virus, he sees the white rat that had been cured scurry by and realize he's been bitten. Cure by rat bite!!!

Bobby calls dispatch and gets Maddie and he tells her he is buried alive!

and what do you make of the funeral in your spec? dream he has while being unconscious under the rubble?🤔 i still don't see how it could be a real one because how long would bobby have to stay "dead" for them to have time to organize it. this whole thing is not taking only 24h to coordinate😅

Good question, anon! The honest answer is that I don't think this show always plays out in a realistic, practical way 😅 Time really means nothing on 9-1-1, and I think they'd be happy to let us somehow believe that they threw this giant funeral and had a custom 118 casket made in a day lol. But maybe Bobby was down there for more than a day? 2-3 days, even? Like maybe the direct injection cure works faster than getting bit by the rat with the cure idk lol

In my gut, I do think that the funeral is a dream, and probably Eddie's dream. Because why are Tommy and Gerrard in the procession with the 118? Tommy is a pallbearer??? What?? Seems more like Eddie spiraling about worst case scenarios because he wasn't there to help the team during the disaster. Like not only is Bobby dead but GERRARD is back, and TOMMY is with Buck, and omg if only eddie had been there he could have saved all of them from this fate! That kind of thing.

Maybe this episode ends on a cliffhanger, assuming Bobby is dead. He's down there a few hours to a couple days possibly, and during that time Eddie has a nightmare, that ends up spurring him on to talk to Chris and get his blessing to return to the 118. Chris will ginish out hos school year but will follow him when it's done. Cut back to reality, and they're PLANNING the funeral, when Bobby suddenly calls dispatch, and now it's a rescue mission.

Okay we know the water is a gay metaphor but can the literal emergency interpretation be that there is a water source contaminated with a psychedelic or something and tons of people get accidentally high so we can get more stoned Buddie?? 😅 I just loved them so much 😭 and maybe Eddie can have like a peyote type vision quest that leads him to his sexuality 🤣 just spitballing here

tumblr is such a different animal than other social media platforms for so many reasons obviously but one thing i really find funny about it is how on other sites if i see something that doesn't interest me i don't follow or don't like the post. but on here if someone i follow starts posting exclusively about something really niche that i have no interest in my reaction is never to unfollow. its just part of the natural environment. like oh mutual is now really into pro wrestling? ok i guess ill be seeing these guys around now

i love these headcanons where maddie is consistently sending pics of buck to eddie to keep him up to date (see: how he got his phone background). it reminds me of when a student goes away to college, and their parent sends them daily pics of the house pet saying "your baby misses you." it would be even funnier if that is the ONLY way they communicate. just silent drops of buck's hobby of the day or week. and eddie save EVERY. SINGLE. ONE.
