Playing with the shadow form, since it’s basically a flux/non-Netwonian kinda of situation? The shadows seem almost non-solid, but if she interacts with physical things/touched it kind of does? These are also like really quick and intentionally messy sketches (like 10ish minutes or less) because they capture that vibe? (You can hold/touch her, but she can “evaporate” out of one’s grasp at will too.)

The dragon form is kind of a nod to her Modern self over at @obscurushydrae – Kar Hem is the youngest of Odgru Hem and is a deep sea dragon. So there’s a lot of inspiration from sea serpents, eastern-style dragons, and deep sea fish with the body form, which I followed through here.

The Kar-in-the-Jar was more inspired by cephalopods–octopi will squeeze themselves into things for safety and for fun– knowing her penchant for a little chaos, it wouldn’t be too out there if she’d abuse this ability to squeeze herself into places for fun/safety/for jobs.

The humanoid form is probably her most common form, I wanted to play with the whole constantly shifting hair thing, with a vaguely humanoid form (think Eris from that one Dreamworks Sinbad? I know she’s popular on here but not sure if everyone s familiar. Or Nyx from Hooked on Chthonics is a good design inspo.

Eldritch kitty was more a joke, but I think along with the squeezing herself into things, it could be cool to see take semi-fucked up animal forms. Cat, fox, etc. And blobfish was just because blobfish.

The last one I call Ghibli form, it was actually the warm-up piece, but I found it to be equal parts strange and charming and kept it in.

I reserve the right to refuse any commissions I do not believe I can fulfill.

Commissions are made for personal use. This means you can use them for social media (icons, banners, etc), or printed for yourself to be on display in your private spaces, or in the case of logo work, for business cards, letterheads, social media sites. You cannot resell copies of the for your own profit, or sell as NFTs.

However, I am willing to discuss commercial licenses if that is what you want. (Prints, but not NFTs.)

Please be advised the additional character price is for adding to the scene; if you want two separate character portraits, they should be considered separate commissions. 

Payment is not expected until a sketch is approved. You will get three free revisions, and any further revisions will be charged a $5 revision fee for each further revision.

Please be generous with references! Character sheets, previous artwork, and ideally a set color palette for hair/skin/fur/etc. If you do not have one already, feel free to use some of these sites to generate one: Coolors, Colormind, colourlovers, Paletton, Encycolorpedia, Color-Hex, Rapid Tables, rgb.to, and plenty more. Looking through stock sites for poses and sending the low res images help too!

I will always prefer visual references like the ones above over text based descriptions. However if you can try to send a few along with text based descriptions I will try my best with what I have, but be aware additional revisions may be needed.

Deliverables:

All files were designed for web with RGB color profile; be advised that in printing colors may change. If you intend to print it out please let me know so I can set the file out for CMYK.

Portraits:

One Version of the file as a print quality PDF (most at-home or on demand printers can use this file)

One Version of the file as a high quality (300 DPI) PNG (for personal use or for on-demand printing)

Version of the file watermarked as a web quality (72 DPI) PNG (for use on posting/sharing on social media– I will also being using this version when I post on mine)

Once the sketch is approved, I will ask for your payment info and coordinate from there.

Posting:

I have the right to post my work on any of my social media; it will be a lower web resolution piece with a watermark and not the original file. Please let me know before I post whether or not you wish to be tagged and what account I should tag when I post.

Hey so, I've been doing some thinking, and have come to a little compromise myself (unless new information comes out).

I will be keeping Teepublic open, with the eventual plan to audit the shop, retire some designs and update others. As far as I know, this will help international folks able to support me, even if I only get 50 cents to 1 dollar off their $20+ purchase. (And if they have shitty international shipping then welp.)

Literally my remittance for August was 50 cents, and it's not really a viable thing for me personally, and wish I could just exclusively sell everything myself, but it would cost WAY more. (Again, if folks are willing to front that I have no problem doing small batch tees or something down the line...)

I will be removing the ability to purchase stickers and postcards on Teepublic, as postcards and stickers I can reasonably mail internationally on standard postage off Ko-Fi. And I make more money off that (which is usually going back to printing other things for my shop). Also just donating or getting commissions is not beholden to crazy shipping costs.

So basically, shop off my Ko-Fi if you're able, but Teepublic will still be around to make up for what I currently can't make or make some things available to non US folks.

Yeah, that's my thoughts for now.
