I have not yet watched the video of George Floyd’s murder. I am afraid... I don’t know what I will do if I do watch it... I still don’t know if I should watch it... Rage is inside... All I can think right now is that no US embassy on the African continent should be open until people of color are treated with human dignity in the United States. African governments should demand this to their US counterparts as those being killed look like us... To my brothers and sisters in Babylon... rest assure we are doing our part in Africa to organize and tell your story. You inspire us... you inspired Pan Africanism... you inspired the fight against colonialism... you inspired the independence movements... you inspired the rise against military dictatorships in Africa... and in the middle of a global pandemic... you have inspired all of us to change the world! We love you! We are with you! ❤️ https://www.instagram.com/p/CA7Eze4H-qE/?igshid=1dgsi9url4xwq

“Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves. You will recognize them by their fruits. Are grapes gathered from thornbushes, or figs from thistles?” Matthew 7:15-16 “The indifference is the deadweight of history. The indifference operates with great power on history. The indifference operates passively, but it operates. It is fate, that which cannot be counted on. It twists programs and ruins the best-conceived plans. It is the raw material that ruins intelligence. That what happens, the evil that weighs upon all, happens because the human mass abdicates to their will; allows laws to be promulgated that only the revolt could nullify, and leaves men that only a mutiny will be able to overthrow to achieve the power. The mass ignores because it is careless and then it seems like it is the product of fate that runs over everything and everyone: the one who consents as well as the one who dissents; the one who knew as well as the one who didn’t know; the active as well as the indifferent. Some whimper piously, others curse obscenely, but nobody, or very few ask themselves: If I had tried to impose my will, would this have happened?” Antonio Gramsci https://www.instagram.com/p/CA7EIi6nRvg/?igshid=1dxy1qvodf331

I guess mercenaries moving across borders do not catch this virus. Always hurtful when I see what they are trying to do to Venezuela. I met some of the most amazing people while I was there. The artists community is very vibrant. The people are clear! They have their challenges but they do not want US intervention. Be safe my people in Venezuela! Venezuelan Military Foils Terrorist Infiltration from Colombia Caracas - May 3 , 2020 At dawn on May 3, mercenaries tried to carry out an invasion by sea, the interior minister said at a press conference on Sunday morning. The Minister of Interior, Justice and Peace of Venezuela, Nestor Reverol, announced on Sunday the disarticulation of an incursion by a terrorist group into the country via sea. Reverol said the infiltration attempt came from a terrorist group trying to enter Venezuela from Colombia. Reverol highlighted that the objective of this incursion was to commit terrorist acts in the country, like carrying out asassinations of leaders of the revolutionary government, while also promoting violence across the South American nation. https://www.telesurenglish.net/news/Venezuelan-Military-Foils-Terrorist-Infiltration-from-Colombia-20200503-0002.html https://www.instagram.com/p/B_uunEiHs-i/?igshid=1dklva27rss7

“The president of Madagascar Andry Rajoelina has officially launched a local herbal remedy claimed to prevent and cure the novel coronavirus. "Tests have been carried out -- two people have now been cured by this treatment," Rajoelina told ministers, diplomats and journalists at the Malagasy Institute of Applied Research (IMRA), which developed the beverage. "This herbal tea gives results in seven days," he said.” “But its safety and effectiveness have not been assessed internationally, nor has any data from trials been published in peer-reviewed studies. Mainstream scientists have warned of the potential risk from untested herbal brews. Rajoelina brushed aside any such reservations and said the concoction would be offered to schoolchildren, as it was his duty was to "protect the Malagasy people". “ This is not a medical advice but information sharing regarding efforts on the African continent to stop the spread of the COVID-19. Madagascar created a scientific framework to validate local medicinal knowledge. Last week, the president there was already Artemisia is a plant widely used in Africa against malaria. - Jean-Pierre Mbelu. At the film screening for “Black Skin, White Mask by Isaac Julien at NYU. When two thirds of the room are young people, packed room with an extra room open to accommodate the over 100 people who came out, that let you know that the youth all over the world is trying to discover its mission so that it can fulfill it. Long live #Fanon! (at New York University)

‪Joseph Kabila invests in what he believes in: killing Congolese and staying in power by any means necessary. He has invested over $5 million dollars to pay lobbyists in Washington via an Israeli security firm called Mer. Results: the Republican president Donald Trump has been quite timid in cutting ties with the Kabila regime. Kabila also has invested hundreds of thousands of dollars to pay rebels residing in Rwanda and Uganda to return in Congo, wear Congolese uniforms and kill Congolese people who are protesting. Now... I don’t own a gun... I don’t believe in supporting rebel groups in Congo. I believe in people’s power as we engage and support each other to free ourselves globally from our chains. As I see how much resources is being put to kill Congolese youth, I hope you will support us as we provide the youth with the necessary tools of mobilizing. It may be hard to grasp but amplifying the voice of the youth is a protection to them. What the regime hopes is for the world to not know what is happening. Sending anyone in the streets when your military is made up of rebels is sending the people on a suicide mission. Just think... what if you went out to protests and the American police used live bullets to disperse the crowd, would you be outraged? Foreigners/rebels backed by foreign countries are wearing Congolese army uniforms and police uniforms. They are shooting at protesters... and everyone is watching... When you watch the protests in Congo, you know the youth is ready to give their lives for a new Congo... I believe they should not die in vain. I believe we should do everything in our power to support them. The evil forces are investing in what they believe in. Are you investing in us? https://www.telema.org

This is one of the most insidious articles on what’s happening in the Congo https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2017-12-04/congo-used-rebels-to-suppress-anti-kabila-protests-group-says The report referenced in the article is here: https://www.hrw.org/report/2017/12/04/special-mission/recruitment-m23-rebels-suppress-protests-democratic-republic-congo Reading it this morning was a reality check on what young Congolese organizing are facing. A protest in Congo can be a death sentence when your own government is sending rebels to stop you from protesting. Just think about what the report has documented: the Congolese government has brought in Congo from Uganda refugee camps the M23 rebels who were trained, equipped and financed by the Rwandan government. They gave them Congolese police and army uniforms and deployed them in cities like Kinshasa, Lubumbashi and Goma so that they could fight off anyone protesting Kabila. Pretty much people protesting on the ground are being sent on a suicide mission.... This is what we are facing... The Congolese government cannot do this without the cooperation of the Rwandan and Ugandan governments. I don’t think people will understand fully the extent to which this situation is insidious. Killing your own people with the backing of neighboring governments back by the West...

This #GivingTuesday, I want you to support financially the work of Friends of the Congo. For the 13 years, we have raised consciousness around the world on the importance of bringing peace to the Congo, while providing support to organizations working inside of the Congo. The money raised will go to support the work of Congo Love which is empowering Congolese youth through its many programs: from the Lumumba Scholars to “Books and Breakfast” (inspired by St Louis youth). I look forward to your support and I’m forever thankful for you walking with us in this struggle to free the Congo. —- Giving Tuesday is an international day of giving that takes place after Thanksgiving and Black Friday. It is a day for people to donate to causes that they care about, and to give back as we approach the end of the year. This year, give to Congo Love and support our work with the sons and daughters of the Congo. https://congolove.org/congo-love/make-a-donation/

International journalists covering the Congo must stop saying this: “Kabila took office after his father Laurent was assassinated in 2001 at the height of the Second Congo War.” Joseph Kabila did not take office after the death of his “father.” Congo’s governmental structure is not a monarchy. After the assassination of Laurent Kabila, Joseph Kabila took power in a military coup. The West recognized his legitimacy and that is the only reason we are still dealing with this man since 2001.

Military announcement on Zimbabwe state TV about the current situation in the country. The next 48 hours will determine if the coup will hold or the loyalists will push back and regain control of the state. Coup or treason? Time will tell. My thoughts and prayers are with our Zimbabwean comrades who want to see a better country.

#ImWithKap #TakeAKnee #ColinKaepernick #Kaepernick “Why should they ask me to put on a uniform and go 10,000 miles from home and drop bombs and bullets on Brown people in Vietnam while so-called Negro people in Louisville are treated like dogs and denied simple human rights? No I’m not going 10,000 miles from home to help murder and burn another poor nation simply to continue the domination of white slave masters of the darker people the world over. This is the day when such evils must come to an end. I have been warned that to take such a stand would cost me millions of dollars. But I have said it once and I will say it again. The real enemy of my people is here. I will not disgrace my religion, my people or myself by becoming a tool to enslave those who are fighting for their own justice, freedom and equality. If I thought the war was going to bring freedom and equality to 22 million of my people they wouldn’t have to draft me, I’d join tomorrow. I have nothing to lose by standing up for my beliefs. So I’ll go to jail, so what? We’ve been in jail for 400 years.” Muhammad Ali
