Today is International Left-Handed People's Day. For a long time, left-handed people were rejected and suffered prejudice and even accused of witchcraft. But if we look through history, we come across many names like Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo, Paul McCartney, Messi, Ayrton Senna鈥攊n short, many examples. To compensate, I, who can't do anything, came. Anyway, congratulations to all left-handed people.

People who followed me because of McLennon or other ships, seeing me post only about Spirk. I'm sorry! I haven't had much to say about McLennon lately, but every time I rewatch an episode about Spirk, I find another detail to post. I apologize if it's getting repetitive.

Here I am again! Today I just wanted to talk about one of my favorite Star Trek episodes: "The Doomsday Machine." It's excellent. I love Commander Decker's participation. But my favorite part is the scene of the ship exploding inside the Machine and everyone trying to transport the Captain. I love the tension. The Captain trying to maintain his sense of humor, even though he's super anxious, and especially Spock, who, even without showing it, we can sense his anxiety when he calls Scott four times. The third time, especially, "Mr. Scott," means "Get him out of there urgently." And I love when he finally sees Jim on the Bridge. You can feel his relief. A perfect episode.

Fui dormir super tarde ontem, mas meu c茅rebro est煤pido insiste em acordar 1 hora antes do despertador. Resultado: estou morrendo de sono. Que raiva! Uma besteira!

I saw this and decided to repost it. Honestly, I'd never paid attention to it, but now that I've seen it, it really caught my attention.
Actually, I don't judge him. I'd look at it the same way; after all, looking doesn't hurt.

I'm so depressed today that I'm going to zone out by watching the Tribbles episode. It's the only way I can cheer myself up a bit.

One more thought about Star Trek. It's become routine now, but... addiction is addiction. It's about that young woman who appears in the first episodes of the series, the Captain's orderly. They make it very clear that there was a passion between them, which was kind of impossible. But then, out of nowhere, she disappears. I'd like to know three things: 1. Why does she disappear? 2. Would it really change the story? Would they get together? Would he stop being such a womanizer? Would she be more prominent? Why was she usually only shown serving coffee, snacks, and being forcibly grabbed? 3. Would I stop shipping Spirk? Because maybe with a real romantic relationship, I wouldn't keep seeing things that aren't there. Anyway, there are so many unanswered questions. But there's no point! I'll keep shipping him because I'm a lost cause.

Here I am again with more thoughts about Spirk (yes, I'm obsessed! As I said, I have no one to comment with, so I have to throw it all out here).
This time, I'd like to recall some moments when one was the other's "north, the center." In "The Naked Time," when Spock is infected with the virus and full of emotions, he recovers when he hits Jim and realizes he infected him. We don't even need to remember "Amok Time," when he recovers from Pon Farr, when he believes he killed Kirk.
Kirk also returns to normal a few times because of Spock. In the elevator scene, when he has that panic attack, Spock brings him back. In the cloud episode, Jim is freaking out because of the Zenit gas, Spock screams, and he comes back. In short, they always bring each other to reason. I love it.

Going back to work tomorrow after vacation and thinking: How am I going to go the whole day without reading a fanfic? Without being able to share my crazy thoughts with anyone? Without being able to access this website and see the posts? How can I get out of my head a ship that never happened, but lives in my head 24/7?
I need treatment. I'm not normal. 馃槹馃槹

Here I am again, making another silly post about Star Trek. (Sorry, but I already explained that they've become my focus these days, especially Spirk). I'm going to make a few observations about some episodes from the third season that don't get much attention and maybe aren't really anything special. Sometimes I see things that aren't there. Sorry again, and feel free to correct me.
Here we go. In the androids episode, when McCoy gives Spock that speech about love, he mentions, among other things, the risks taken and the rules broken. After that, Spock makes Kirk forget about the girl who died. Doesn't that break any rules? Taking someone's memories without asking permission?
But I wanted to focus on two other episodes from season 3. 1- Wink of an eye: Spock drinks the alien water and risks his life to find Kirk with the antidote. Oh, it could be nothing. Just the First Officer wanting to help his captain. Totally logical, right? The other episode is "The Mark of Gideon." Kirk falls prey to a plan by the planet's people, and Spock tries at all costs to convince the governor there to descend to the planet, as well as to convince Starfleet to authorize it. However, despite the express prohibitions of both, he decides to defy orders and go after the Captain. Again, it could just be loyalty to the Captain, but I'm silly and prefer to see it in a more colorful way.
Well, as I say, feel free to correct me. And sorry again for the length of the text, but these two have stuck with me in a surprising way. Sorry again.

After finishing all three seasons of the original Star Trek (without watching the films or other series inspired by it), I'd like to share some of my thoughts (I apologize for focusing so much on this topic and also if this post gets too long, but this is the only place I can comment on it). So, here we go: first off, I really enjoyed the series, I became attached to the characters, especially Kirk, and I loved binge-watching it. However, there are a few things I'd like to point out. Some episodes are quite disposable, some ideas are repetitive. But that's not what I want to focus on.
What I wanted to highlight is that, in my opinion, some episodes didn't have a conclusion. I know it was the series' style to have standalone episodes, but I think some needed a continuation, or at least some extra scenes. Some examples: the Edith Keeler episode. It ended with them returning to the portal, and that was it. Did Kirk ever think about her again? The one about the tribe where he loses his memory? His pregnant wife dies, and that's it. And then what? How did he recover? Wasn't he traumatized? In the android's case, Spock made him forget. And then what? Did McCoy find out? Besides, there's the episode about Tarsus IV. It was a trauma for the Captain. Did it only last one chapter? And in the Tholian Web episode, it doesn't show Spock's reaction when they catch Kirk. They should have. In the episode about Kirk's brother's death, it ends with him making jokes. Did he never speak of his brother again? What happened to his nephew? Anyway, these are some stories that need continuation. But anyway, it's a good thing fanfics exist to complete or enhance the stories.
Apologies again for the length of the post.

I'm wondering when I get back from vacation. All my colleagues are describing trips and outings, and the only thing I have to talk about are the hundreds of fanfics I've read about the same couple falling in love over and over again.

I've come to a conclusion. If I'd lived in the '60s, I wouldn't have survived. Imagine having the chance to see Paul McCartney in the prime of his youth and beauty, and also following the adventures of the most handsome Captain in the galaxy. I'd be in a tizzy every day. What beautiful men, my God!

I can't believe I'm done with Star Trek. I'm going to miss my handsome, adorable captain so much. Okay, I know there are other movies and other versions, but it's not the same. I'm going to rewatch some episodes I liked. As I said before, the last few weren't very good, but there are some that are really worth watching. As I've also said, there are some pretty disposable episodes. But, all in all, it was definitely worth it.

Today I'll finish the third and final season of Star Trek. There are four episodes left. I'm not at all excited because I skipped a few episodes and left these ones out because they seem worse. The bad thing is, I've already watched several bad episodes this season. If these are worse... The truth is, I enjoyed the series, but some episodes were completely disposable. There are only a few that I'll watch again.
