It’s usually the same people that scream about how if you don’t ship Max and Lucy than you are racist. Some people just really have no idea how fandom and shipping culture work and it’s sad.

People who try to police what others ship and headcanon are so funny ("I'm looking at you crazy" funny, not ha-ha funny). Lemme tell y'all who do that silly stuff a secret: if you wanna pretend Coop and Barb are still together, or if you wanna think they'll get back together one day, no one is stopping you from having your own fun like you're trying to stop others. Write your own fics and headcanons. It's free and easy. Other people pretending he's dating someone else won't cancel your thoughts out. Please remember that these characters are literally just dolls we're all pretending about.

(But also, the man isn't wearing a wedding ring in the opening scene and Walton Goggins says Cooper hates Barb now and thinks she's "the devil incarnate". But if y'all wanna lie to yourselves about there being no evidence they're split, I can't and won't stop you! 🤠)
