Auggie really vibes with physical, non-verbal displays of affection. Like he'll lean against Hoss as he plays guitar and sings, he'll fling an arm around Moira as they're sitting and chilling. He's also allergic to, like, soap and water. Its not that he doesn't like being clean, he's just been sleeping rough it's not huge on his priorities anymore. He'll jump in the creek and like, that's a bath.

Madge is defo feral and is not above creek bathing but she's also a sophisticated society lady and dammit, her dumbass boyfriend is going to adhere to basic hygiene standards. She 100% will be like "hey Auggie come here and I'll wash your hair :)" and Auggie 100% goes along with it, so then she's like "haha I have tricked you into being clean >:)" and he's like "haha I have tricked you into playing with my hair for a half hour >:)" and both of them think they're getting away with it

So this is Auggie! He's half Native American, half Filipino, all rowdy crime boy. He was born mostly deaf, and even though he could speak decently well he learned a version of Plains Sign Language from his dad and that was way easier day to day. When he was 18 or 19 he started wandering wandering around the California/Nevada/Arizona area and making a name for himself as a gun for hire.

He started teaming up with people to do bigger jobs Over time he kinda accumulated a little ragtag gang of misfits, and they started taking more high profile jobs and doing more elaborate heists. Kinda more privateers than pirates but they definitely do crimes too.

He took a shotgun blast to his lower jaw during a job, and his face was able to be more or less reconstructed but he lost a portion of his jawbone and 80% of his tongue. It wasn't too hard of an adjustment because he was using PSL almost exclusively anyway, but not being able to talk made brokering deals with clients more difficult so now his second, Moira, handles most of that.

Things were pretty chill but then the whole red dead online story happened and he got shipped way out east, so now he's stranded, broke, and cranky abt having to deal with snow 😅 he's a desert bb, he likes the sun.

He's kind of neutral good/true neutral I'd say? He won't go blasting through town guns blazing but he also isn't overly concerned about problems that don't affect him and his. He's a genuine goofball of a sweetheart with people he's close with tho.

(also he and Sean absolutely hit it off once Auggie taught him enough PSL that they could have conversations. They share a sense of humor and hatred of England)

I went through the game files and pieced together one of the songs Arthur sings on horseback, including the half I’ve never heard him sing in-game before (everything after he mentions Texas).

It's called Cole Younger. He sings it slightly differently but the closest lyrics match I could find is under the cut, since he mumble

Am one of a band of highwaymen, Cole Younger is my name; My crimes and depredations have brought my friends to shame; The robbing of the Northfield Bank, the same I can’t deny, For now I am a prisoner, in the Stillwater jail I lie.

A Union Pacific railway train was the next we did surprise, And the crimes done by our bloody hands bring tears into my eyes. The engineerman and fireman killed, the conductor escaped alive, And now their bones lie mouldering beneath Nebraska’s skies.

Then we saddled horses, northwestward we did go, To the God-forsaken country called Min-ne-so-te-o; I had my eye on the Northfield bank when brother Bob did say, “Now, Cole, if you undertake the job, you will surely curse the day.”

But I stationed out my pickets and up to the bank did go, And there upon the counter I struck my fatal blow. “Just hand us over your money and make no further delay, We are the famous Younger brothers, we spare no time to pray.”
