Okay I didn’t forget about this just yet, I’ve just been struggling to finish a thing from an internship

Anyways, here’s the lists I made a while ago. Many sorrys if not 100% what was expected:

Athena & things Alchemist either references or alludes to:

goddess of handicraft and wisdom (also war but that’s more important in another point), which fits with Alchemist representing alchemy and the science side of witchcraft as a whole (potions)

born already with knowledge and fully grown, same as Alchemist being baked already with her knowledge and age

They both love competition yet HATE losing. Ex: Athena taking up Arachne’s challenge for the best weaver and turning her into a spider when she lost, Alchemist in the chess costume set (Ovenbreak) trying to make a chess piece that guarantees victory after losing to Vampire

one of the things Athena represents is the virtue of skill, and she’s the intellectual side of war, which is not exactly the best comparison, but it reminds me of how Alchemist is the science side of witchcraft while Wizard is the magic side hence why they’re rivals in the games

Zeus’ favorite, (one of the) Witch’s favorite, c’mon

Meanwhile Dionysus & things Vampire either references or alludes to:

god of wine & ecstasy, and Vampire is made of wine and is described as preferring to do nothing but enjoy life

in Orpheus’ tales, Dionysus gets nearly permanently killed but is saved by Athena, similar to how Alchemist saved Vampire from burning in the oven

They’re both widely misunderstood and are portrayed as silly little guys whom are constantly doing nothing but drinking and partying despite their more serious feats like Dionysus being to the same level as the Olympian gods (he’s like the 13th god because he and Hestia sometimes switch depending on who you ask) and Vampire being one of Cookie Run’s smartest cookies, a Witch’s favorite, AND can be debated to be one of the fastest as well

Dionysus was (at least in the later years) depicted as youthful and effeminate, which is what Vampire’s designed like

And I think that’s all the points I have. I have an AU where I tried designing them with this idea in mind, but that was months ago. They need both a revisit and revision because of how much research has gone into the past few months

I would like to mention for my own mental satisfaction that in Kingdom, there’s a very small amount of cookies that were actually made by the witches

Like, maybe there’s a higher number in Witch’s Castle or Ovenbreak, but Kingdom specifically has specified that most cookies were made by other cookies or belong in certain kingdoms/families

However, there’s still some that maintain the fact that they were made by the witches, and I gathered as many as I found to figure out how small the amount truly is

Out of 161 (I think) playable cookies, only eighteen cookies made by witches and wizards

Fifteen were made by the witches, which are:

Alchemist

Angel

Burning Spice

Devil

Elder Faerie

Eternal Sugar

Gingerbrave

Gumball

Mystic Flour

Rockstar

Shadow Milk

Silent Salt

Strawberry

Vampire

Wizard

And three were made by the wizards:

Blueberry Pie

Moonlight

Stardust

From the wizards’ batch, all of them were made with a purpose, and Stardust is the only one out of them that could hypothetically be debated

The witches’ batches, however, are a mixed bag as some were made with a greater purpose or interest and others just escaped

And the amount of cookies made with greater interest or purpose out of those fifteen are NINE. Nine cookies were made with the witches putting more thought into them than usual

Five are the beasts

Two are Angel and Devil

I’ve been in that rabbit hole, gang, and I understand you so much (also started with CRK thinking I’d prefer the ancients and then BAM grape siblings hit me so hard I played Ovenbreak and Witch’s Castle and even pulled out their old line and kakao game info) and I’m saying do it because they’re so fun in the other games as well and you might also enjoy the chess costume set in Ovenbreak bc they have a bit of protagonism in it

But I also agree on them needing to get more in Kingdom and I’ve been delusional about this since Adventurer got a part because if he can WHY CAN’T THEY 😭😭

In regards on whether or not they could rival Butter Roll Cookie’s smarts, I believe Alchemist wholeheartedly can as they seem just as passionate about research, just in different fields. Meanwhile, while Vampire could rival Butter Roll’s smarts, he doesn’t have the motivation or interest to do so. Point is that I think they might be at a similar level and especially Alchemist :D

I have another analysis I made that shows that Alchemist and Vampire could probably be based on Athena and Dionysus but that’s a story for another night

I know you guys hate to see me coming but I’m here with another grape sibling character analysis and

I think Vampire and Alchemist may be some of if not THE Witch’s favorites and I need you to trust me on this one because I have evidence (I would like to mention that said evidence is in both their stories, and since they’re siblings and from the same batch, I’m going to assume they fit for both)

First of all, Alchemist’s story starts off with this being said to describe grapes:

I’ve checked. None of the other Greek symbol fruits’ cookies (Fig [Achilles], Pomegranate [Hades & Persephone]) have any descriptors of their ingredients as anything related to gods. In fact, none of the cookies IN GENERAL (at least from the ones I checked like Beasts, Ancients, rares, commons, and most of the epics) have any descriptors of their ingredients to be godly related or signifying of higher power EXCEPT ALCHEMIST.

And when you take the fact that grapes are seen as the fruit of the gods in game, WHAT’S VAMPIRE’S STORY’S FIRST LINE????

THE WITCH’S FAVORITE. HIGH QUALITY ONES FROM THIS FRUIT.

THEY’RE MADE WITH THE SMAE FRUIT, THE “FRUIT OF THE GODS”, WHICH SIGNIFIES THAT REGARDLESS OF FAVORITISM, THEY HAVE MORE POWER THAN WE’RE LET ON but that’s for a different analysis

Point is, he (and in correlation, Alchemist) is made with the Witch’s favorite of the ingredient. No other story describes any ingredient as the Witch’s favorite but theirs, and no other one has any implications of higher power within the ingredients alone. In other words, they were baked with love regardless of whether or not they were meant to be eaten or released.

And

TDLR: Vampire and Alchemist have the description of “favorite high-quality grapes” and “fruit of the gods”, which isn’t a description type found in any of the other cookies’ stories or ingredients. This leads me to believe that, regardless of what their fate was meant to be, they were made with love and by design :]

Even though they don’t show that in the story unfortunately
