What do you think of the George/Maureen affair

The way that maureen has been portrayed in the affair is so unfair in my opinion. It’s clear that maureen and ringo’s marriage was beyond the point of being saved due to ringo’s mistreatment of maureen but it would be hard for her to leave him as they had three children and maureen had no solid career. I honestly couldn’t tell you how the affair came about but maureen found obvious comfort and attention in george which she couldn’t find in ringo. In all honesty i think that george may of took advantage of maureen as she was very vulnerable and gullible at this point of her life - george said he loved maureen but didn’t even pursue a relationship with her after the affair was made known. I am in no way saying that maureen was an absolute angel during this period as she was quite horrible to pattie and was literally cheating on her husband. I just think that george should get a little more of the blame when it comes to the affair and people should try to understand why maureen did what she did. People should also remember that ringo was intimate with more women than you can count during his relationship with maureen so he wasn’t exactly faithful to her in any way. It just really annoys me when people hate maureen’s guts for having an affair when we all know ringo’s history.
