“You should get up, we’ll have to go to dinner soon,” I said.  Julian sat up and groaned again.  “You fell asleep with your shoes on,” I said.  Julian stared at me for a while. “Do they not do that in Virginia?”  “I don’t think they do that anywhere,”  “Well, it’s not about them, is it? I’m the one with the shoes,” Julian got out of his bed.
