Who is this MHA character?

This face appears for about 2 seconds on screen in the beginning theme song of My Hero Academia Season 3. Who is this character? He kind of reminds me of Power Loader if he took off his metal helmet but I don't think this is him and I don't recall seeing this character among the unnamed characters during the provisional licensing exam.

Is Bakugo about to go Super Saiyan on us?

We have some more interesting things happening in chapter 403.

First up, it appears that All For One is currently in the process of literally snapping All Might in half. A pretty brutal sight that is being witnessed live by people around the world - including Midoriya and Bakugo

That wee person in the distance is Bakugo. I'm not sure if that light is just an artistic effect to highlight Bakugo in the background or if he is literally emanating so much light you can see him from several miles away.

Check out their eyes! It's like All Might didn't just pass on a little piece of himself to Midoriya, but to Bakugo too, and they both just reached a new character level at the imminent death of their hero.

But we already know Midoriya has crazy power. What's interesting is what's going on with Bakugo. If Bakugo is in fact radiating ridiculous amounts of light and looking like the picture above, I think he just reached his own Super Saiyan level.

I kind of figured in the end Midoriya would take out AFO alone but now I'm wondering if this is going to be a team effort between Midoriya and Bakugo.

Very Brief Guide to [tumblr], for Reddit refugees

Shit You Must Do Right Fucking Now:

Change your profile picture, blog header, and title to something other than the defaults. Do it right now. You will be mistaken for a bot otherwise, and blocked.

Go into Settings -> Dashboard, scroll down to Preferences, and turn off the options in the picture. This will get rid of most of the algorithmic stuff.

Turn off Tumblr Live. You have to snooze it once every 7 days for some stupid reason. It's hosted through another company and will steal your data if you use it.

Go to your blog settings (under the little person menu) and turn off these two settings:

Turn off infinite scroll (lags the site) and turn on timestamps on posts, in the same menu as Preferences.

Basic Features of the Site:

Reblogs drive the entire site. If you'd upvote something on Reddit, you'd reblog it on Tumblr. You can add text, images, or tags to a reblog, but you're not required to.

The dashboard is the equivalent to your Reddit feed, and contains the posts of all the people you follow, with the newest at the top

You can send an ask to someone, and it'll appear in their askbox for them to answer. You can receive them too, or turn off the settings if you don't want.

Tags aren't actually used for finding stuff (search function is dogshit), but are more for categorizing. People also talk in tags. Because Tumblr is weird, you can't use quotation marks (") or commas in them without fucking it up

You can filter both tags and phrases under Account Settings; doing this will put a filter over a post that contains them, which you'll have to click through to see the post itself. Useful for avoiding hate speech or blocking out annoying stuff

You can make polls in posts. Here's one now.

Likes are useless. They literally do fuck-all except send a notification to the OP.

Stuff Tumblr Does That Other Sites Don't:

Very old posts (I'm talking from like 2012) often circulate on this site. There's no such thing as a post being "too old" to reblog

Blocking is highly encouraged; you can block someone for any reason. Even for just being annoying.

If you and someone else are following each other, you are mutuals. Mutuals are fucking awesome and are treasured like friends. Mutuals are a thing on other sites but Tumblr treats em differently.

You can screenshot someone's tags if you like them and add them to a reblog. This is called "peer review"

Sometimes someone will find a blog and go through it and like/reblog a bunch of posts. This is totally fine and not "creepy" like it is seen as on other sites.

Tumblr jokes often rely on Continuing The Bit and a "yes, and?" attitude. Goncharov is probably the best example of this.

We are fucking infested with bots. They will either have totally blank profiles or be filled with porn. Block and report on sight.

Censorship is pretty lax here. I can say "I want to brutally stab Elon Musk to death and watch him bleed out in front of a crowd" and nobody gives a shit.

General Etiquette:

Don't try to do epic clapbacks here, you'll probably just get laughed at or blocked. If someone is bugging you or spouting bigoted bullshit, block them.

Reblog art!!! Artists often struggle to gain traction on here; reblogging will give them a boost.

Not every reblog needs a comment or tag in it

You can go all out with tagging your stuff to organize it, or you can just leave it all blank. Someone might ask "hey, can you tag these posts as [x]?" and you can decide if you want to do that or not. It's generally polite to oblige, but "no" is still reasonable.

Avoid discourse like the plague. Filter it, block people who start it, scroll past it when you see it. Just don't get involved in it. Ever.

Don't put fandom tags or jokes on someone's posts about serious matters or personal shit

You're responsible for curating your own dashboard; if you complain about constantly seeing stuff you don't like, that's probably on you. Don't be afraid to unfollow.

Follower count doesn't matter much here and you don't have to make yours known if you don't want to.

Reblog, don't repost. Reblogging keeps the credit and doesn't "steal" engagement like Twitter retweets.

If someone likes something a LOT, they might reblog it like 30 times in a row. This is normal

Having a post blow up is actually kinda a bad thing, since it floods your notifications. There's a sort of in-joke about how having a big post is awful and people jokingly try to stop their own posts from blowing up, often in vain.

Tips:

Get XKit Rewritten if you're on desktop, it's a really helpful extension

In the little drop-down menu next to the 'Post now' button you can either save a draft, schedule a post, or add it to your queue. The queue lets you post things in order at a certain interval, which you can change. It's good for spreading stuff out over time.

You can use Shift+R to quickly reblog stuff and Shift+Q to queue!

Filter your notifications under Activity - you can also see some neat graphs

Find each other! If you want your old Reddit communities to stick together, seek out other refugees and follow them.

The moral dilemma presented by Twice's clones.

Twice has the ability to make clones of anyone including himself.

These clones are sentient beings; they have their own feelings and can think independently for themselves. Physically, they are basically real human beings which is why Jin could use a clone's blood for Toga. That being the case, if I think too critically about this story I find something slightly messed up that these clones are used for fodder in battles or spare parts for those in need.

Why wasn't Jin's love enough to change Toga's heart?

So in chapter 395 Toga said the following:

I just wonder why her relationship with Jin/Twice never inspired these feelings. Didn't she find familial love with the LOV and particularly with Twice?

Twice really loved Toga (like family) just as she was. He never demanded anything from her and even saved her life. Why wasn't Twice's love enough to illicit these same type of feelings of wanting to give blood rather than take.

Toga and Ochaco

In chapter 393 we have this is sort of sweet/friendly picture between Toga and Ochaco

This picture occurred after Toga stabbed Ochaco in the chest, but Ochaco - overlooking the gaping knife wound and spouting blood - still tried to reach Himiko's feelings so they could chat about romance later. (Not sure I understand this obsession with romance, but whatever).

Here's the problem. In chapter 289 Toga plainly stated she can't resist the desire to drain every last drop of blood out of the people she likes -> basically killing them.

So how could Toga and Ochaco ever do this girl chat BFF thing or be long lasting buddies that Toga keeps saying she wants and now Ochaco is saying she wants to do, when Toga has repeatedly tried to kill Ochaco and apparently will keeping trying to do so since she can't resist the temptation of her quirk?

Just how hot is it . . .?

Just how hot is that area where Endeavor is battling Dabi one may wonder. Well, just for reference:

This is the hand of the metal robot Rei came riding in on to Dabi and Endeavors location. See how it started melting/disintegrating once it reached that area:

If this robot is made of steel, steel has a melting point of 1300-1540°C (2370-2800°F).

This (but probably greater) is the kind of temperatures the Todorokis are facing.

At long last we get to see the Ice Todorokis throw down in a fight!

The story is really getting good in Chapter 388.

After much speculation and three hundred eighty eight chapters in, we finally have definitive confirmation that Natsu is an Ice Todoroki (I don't think it was ever expressly said what his power was) and we actually get to see him, Fuyumi, and Rei use their power. Exciting times people!

Now the question is, do the ice Todorokis, who have not practiced using their power, have enough combined strength to put out Dabi and Endeavor's flames.

On a side note: I'm happy to be seeing the Todorokis addressing this issue with Dabi as a united front rather than leaving the entire burden on Endeavor or Shoto. This is a family problem and they are finally acknowledging that fact along with their own rolls in or contribution to this drama. . . .

AFO and his unusal sensory abilities

As far as I could tell in Season 3 AFO had no eyes, no nose, and no ears (even his ear canals are blocked by scar tissue). I'd love to know what quirk is it that allows AFO, who literally has no eyes and ears, to watch on a computer and hear the audio of the actions going on in the LOV headquarters.

Well he did mention he had 2 quirks . . . just no one paid attention, not even Shoto.

Chapter 387

A few posts back, in regards to Chapter 363, I mentioned that Dabi indicated he had an ice power when he said he copied Shoto's finishing move as a last ditch effort . As we all know Shoto's finishing move incorporates both the use of ice and fire.

Interestingly, our characters didn't seem to pick up on that little surprise admission. Perhaps they were too focused on the fact Dabi always uses fire that they didn't think too hard about the meaning of his statement.

But in our latest chapter, Endeavor seems to have confirmed that, yes Dabi/Touya does have an ice quirk (Rei's power) which is what has been keeping him going and helping him to not disintegrate from his own flames - just like how Shoto uses his 2 quirks to moderate the effects each quirk has on his body.

Knowing that Touya too possess Rei's power, I'm not sure how Shoto could possibly defeat Touya in a one-on-one match, yet he's heading back into this danger.

On a side note, it's ironic how both brothers tried to deny one of their quirks that represented a parent yet in the end, to become stronger, they needed both quirks.

Monoma could beat his quirk's time and touch limitations if he just did this . . .

Okay I'm not talking about the holding hands thing he did with Aizawa because that's a bit inconvenient when the time comes to physically fight the bad guys

But remember this scene from Season 2 episode 18?

After using Bakugo's power, Monoma merely touched Kirishima's hair to gain his quirk's ability, there was no need for skin contact (as in he didn't need to touch Kirishima's skin to get the quirk).

If Monoma needs something as little as hair to gain another person's quirk than he could in theory carry around locks of hair from other people (even though that's kind of weird but then again Toga carries around people's blood sooo . . .there's that.) By carrying around the hair and making sure it's always in contact with his own skin he could continuously use a power without worrying about his time limitation or the need to keeping touching the other person.

Why stealing Dark Shadow would be a dumb move for AFO

So in chapter 385 we have AFO moving in on Tokoyami with the intention of stealing his quirk to use for his own.

Tokoyami by all appearances pretty much belongs in the mutant category of quirk users. So there is the question of whether AFO can even steal a mutant's quirk and actually use it since their quirk usually has to do with some kind of change to their body?

But if we assume that AFO can steal a mutant's quirk, and he successfully steals Dark Shadow (and Tokoyami's snazzy bird like head features) - we shouldn't forget that Dark Shadow has the capacity to think for itself and can remember that it's last duty was to help kill AFO.

AFO would just run into the same trouble he did with Star and Stripe and her quirk New Order. Remember when it went on a rampage inside Shigaraki? -

I don't think AFO would be able to control Dark Shadow and that would leave him at a disadvantage since Dark Shadow would probably turn on him.

Weirdly, Sasuke Uchiha and Jinx from Arcane are kind of similar

Both have ties to the Hinden Leaf village (jk 😄).

Both tried to kill their best friend.

Both had issues with their sibling.

Attack on Titan - Doesn't this scene imply Eren's Titan had another ability . . . ?

In season 1 episode 10, right after Eren transformed into a titan to protect Mikasa, Armin and himself from being hit by a cannonball, within the surrounding boundary of the titan skeleton Armin saw purple flowers on the ground that he said had not been there before.

I thought it was interesting how the story quickly turned away from this scene and an explanation for these mysterious flowers was never brought up again in that season and the following seasons. But the question of where did those flowers come from never left my mind.

Forget the symbolism of the flowers for a moment and let's just look at the scene for what it is - a plant with flowers appeared out of thin air within the area under his Titan . If that plant wasn't already present in that space (even in seed form) than wouldn't this scene imply that Eren's Titan (perhaps because Eren has the founder in him also) has an additional ability that can either bring physical things from the past or future (if we are to assume this plant existed during those time periods), or his titan can actually bring things into existence? Of course I don't think Eren was aware of this ability, hence why he never used it again.

Waited almost a year to FINALLY see the last episodes of Attack on Titan. They release one . . . ONE!!! episode and now I learn we'll probably have to wait half a year to see the last episode to this series. Half. A. Year . . .

This is bull-crap. For the love of god let us just watch the end already!

Now, info screens that explain the weapons, tactical gear, titans, and past history, I can understand the need for . . . but SOUP?! Aren't they stretching things a bit?
