Here're the instructions I made for this "Worm Farmin'" sixth grade math activity and the illustrations I did!

We're talking about how different kinds of graphs have different pros and cons (specifically, situations where you might want to see groups of data rather than individual points/values), and this partner activity had them form their own opinions about how best to present data.

The only setup was to cut a ball of pink yarn into varying short strips from a half inch to six inches! Every pair got about 20 "worms", a ruler, the instructions, and the packet to record their table and graphs. We had a ton of fun with it, and my kids were getting possessive of their cut up pieces of string by the end of the block.
