here have this borderline fic bout louise's dad/backstory before big mama

way before she started working for big mama, she was found on the streets of the Hidden City by an armadillo yokai, named Joe

backstory and more doodles under the cut :]]

while not a man of means, he still managed to raise her by himself in the City.

at around 8 yrs old, she started doing jobs around the City to help out where she could. he never pushed her to get a job, but she seemed more than capable compared to yokai her age, and at his age it was getting harder and harder to wrangle her.

louise initially only went out about twice a month, and she always came back, so joe let her continue. then she went out 3, 4 times a month. then a few times a week. it wasnt until about 3 full years in that she stopped coming home during the day.

one night she doesnt come home. and joe searches her room for any clue as to where she could be. then he finds several duffle bags in her closet, filled with cash, a small collection of knives, and a gun.

he waits for her to come home. and she does, the following night. she's covered in dirt and dried blood. and joe cant help but shout at her. telling her everything he found in her room. she confesses. the joyrider on the news, Speed Demon, is the child in front of him. she swears up and down that she's never harmed anyone herself, the weapons are for defense, but he's not having it.

he gives her an ultimatum. quit, or leave their home. he will not be an accessory to her life if she continues this.

louise is in too deep to quit safely. she knows if she were to disappear, someone would find her, risking her and joe.

she leaves that night, taking only one bag of clothes, money, and weapons. she leaves the rest to her dad.

by the time of their fight, they've known each other [as humans] for a few months at that point.

the first time leo and tony see each other outside of human forms, leo's in the crowd and tony's in the arena. by the time they learn each other's identities, they're fighting to the death.

maybe ill write more about that fight at a later date, maybe not, who knows <3
