These images are going to be posters promoting the PIMP, (Portal in my Pocket) These posters will be have no information, intriguing people to find out more about these posters that they will see all over the place. The general idea behind them would be that its as if the viewer is looking through a portal at these wonderful places, and makes them see how easy it would be to travel. These posters will be accompanied with the posters that other members of my group have made, so people will be able to get information off of theirs, whilst mine are purely to lure people in and want to find out more.

Wireframes
Wireframes are the very basics of the product or website, in our case we are making products but the concept is still the same. we are making a 2D visual aid to give an idea and design to a final product. We have started to make blueprints for our mini portal gun devices.
Above shows a wireframe of a phone and its different screens , giving someone a brief on what everything needs to look like. this can aid both UI and UX designers, as it will allow them both to know what they need to achieve.

Poorly drawn sketch of piece, done in the Tate modern gallery - quality is poor as it was done on small phone.

This piece instantly stood out to me for a multiple of reasons, first of all the thick blank pen with varying line sizes, reminded me of work I like to do myself, with intricate patterns and hidden detail that slowly unfolds to you the more you look at it. Also the drawing was presented on pieces of cardboard stuck together and was very large, this also intrigued me as it reminded me of a artist I studied last year called Vallery Koshlyakov, and therefor the piece meant something more to me as I was so familiar with this style. I also like how the colours are of only black and brown, as if it where some sort of boring poster, however this works well with the theme of the piece being about ‘The workers maypole’ and the painting could have satirical meaning and is therefore displayed this way as if it where copying a drawing from a newspaper.

Picasso’s work was different to others I had done, as his unique style a what could be seen as random objects, all have hidden meanings and messages. I liked this piece as the vibrant lilac and blue background, accompanied with the pale stone like colour and dull green, creates a calm and relaxed feel to the painting, which further adds the to piece being of someone laying down, still and tranquil. However if we look closer we can see the woman could be seen as being tied down by these thick black lines, strapping her down, and she is actually trapped there, which could resemble a conflict between herself being trapped in a calm relaxing place, but she wants more adventure and excitement, but the restraints wont let her do so.

This is my collage of Nude Green Leaves, I used images from the web that resembled the shapes and colours of the original painting, and then used a separate layer to place the images in the right position, the overall effect i am happy with, and i also enjoyed searching for a different and recognizable image that will represent a certain area, my favourite part is the sock acting as a thick black line.

After reading through the summer project booklet again, i have realised that i was meant to do a collage using images i found online, as opposed to doing the same thing again... oops... However rather than get rid of any work that i have already done, i will keep it there to show progression, but i will still do the collage.

Artist Four - Pablo Picasso
Pablo Picasso was born in 1881, and was a Spanish artist who spent the majority of his life in France. Picasso is a highly famous artist, associated with being a co founder of the cubist movement, a style of painting that used neutral colours in which he would paint within mismatched shapes and patterns. Picasso lived up to the age of 91 and died in 1973.

I chose to do ‘The last supper’ as it has a variety of colours and patterns, as it is such a detailed painting. I enjoyed doing this piece, especially the bottom right section of the mans robes, i felt this so far has been my favourite section to do as i feel i was able to give the image a lot of depth, as well as have similar colours to ones the artist used. I also noticed that when i zoom into the image, da Vinci is able to make his brushstrokes blend with one another, and they are hard to spot. instead its as if they are just blocks of colour, that have been printed which is the only artist that has done this so far.
