Hello all. I know I've been away for a while. I'm still dealing with health/life stuff, and I'm just taking a different approach to things in general. I look at it as going through a healing phase for several reasons. I imagine that I will be posting more again as the year comes to a close, but sometimes you just need to enjoy life and take a long look at things. I'm hesitant to speak any further about it, but who knows... maybe I will eventually. Sickness has a way of making you change things. Happy Friday, everyone! Today I added a new robot to the cause! I needed a portable light source for my art cave, while I assembled the rest of my army. This one has a light-up head, and can light up as a whole lot of different colors. Its pretty tall too, so he can light up a bigger area of the cave. It comes with a remote to change colors, make it flash colors, and more. I mentioned in my last post that I am working on some new wood toys, so I thought I would share the first prototype with you. I have some more details to work out, but I am overall pretty happy with it! The plan is to use simple/similar forms and make several different figures out of them, using this technique. I actually wanted to make blind box figures with these, haha. Eventually I am going to be putting a limited number of these up for sale though. This project was born of a few different things, and I am quite happy with it.... I wanted to find a way to mix my sculpture/woodworking art with my digital and illustrative art. This is that baby :). I will be posting more in-progress shots on my Ko-Fi page (link in the Bio), if you would like to follow along. More projects are stirring in my brain too.... I'll get to them as I can. _ In other news, if you follow me on Instagram regularly, you may have noticed a while ago that I am slowing down with my posts. Well, I seem to have come upon some rough physical/mental health times. I don't know how transparent I want to be with this, but it has been hard. Part of me wants to open up, but the other part of me is pretty private about this stuff. Sometimes things come in life that scare you pretty bad though. This means that I am not taking any commissions, and I am basically only doing art that I can handle, and stuff that I want to do. It stinks for money though.... that has taken a dive.
