Working in a hospital is fucking hard. You go from standing in a trauma room for 30 minutes while staff is performing cpr, doctor calls time of death and 5 minutes later you are walking through the door of another patients room and they are asking you if the trauma patient is okay and all you can do is try to bypass the questions and maintain a professional demeanor. There is no processing time for staff after someone dies because you have to quickly move on to other patients to help them feel better and do your best to keep the next patient alive and healthy. Sometimes it just really sucks and some deaths/ medical emergencies just stick with you worse than others and at the end of the day you just have to suppress it as much as possible because what else can you do when processing the traumas you have to witness at work is not always attainable?

if you’re in high school right now you gotta start writing poetry trust me on this, it’s cringe, poetry kids are pretentious, you’ll look back on it and be embarrassed, and it is literally the best thing you could be doing right now. The world is in dire need of more crappy teenage poetry

I have lost about 20lbs since starting my new job 6 weeks ago. Y'all......I just.....I am so happy. I had hoped that I would lose some weight since my new job is so active but I never anticipated I would lose so much so fast. My goal weight is still about 100lbs away but just the fact that I am making progress feels so good! I can actually go up and down stairs again without getting winded, my feet no longer hurt in the mornings, and above all else I can finally dance through a full song again without needing a break.
