Iceland Guide: Reykjavik
Few places compare to the awe-inspiring majesty of Iceland. With less than half a million residents, it remains the most sparsely populated country in Europe. Located below the Arctic Circle, Iceland boasts a striking contrast between barren land and lush national parks, making the island a hotspot for adventure-seekers and wildlife enthusiasts.
Known as the “Land of Fire and Ice,” Iceland has a reputation for harsh, snow-riddled scenery, but in reality the country is awash with vegetation and wildlife. The Arctic fox and stunning wild Icelandic horses are just some of the species native to the island. Iceland is also home to some of the world’s most unique spectacles of nature, such as the stunning northern fjords and the giant glaciers that blanket the country’s many volcanic mountains.
If you're planning a trip to this exciting country, here are the main sights and activities that you shouldn't miss - plus the best local dishes to keep an eye out for.

10 Reasons why Travelling is an Investment in Yourself
It may seem like a vastly clichéd expression, but when people propose that “travel broadens the mind”, they happen to make a very good point about the reasons to travel. It is often suggested that travel is the only thing you can spend money on that actually makes you richer; not financially, but personally. Travel’s restorative qualities mean that those who partake in regular adventures find themselves with improved body, mind and spirit, making holidaying a great personal outlay. Travel is always the suggested antidote for people who need a break from the rat run, so it seems obvious that booking that plane ticket is not only an investment in memories and adventure but in your personal happiness.
When you decide to travel, you make the decision to treat yourself. Here, we explore the 10 reasons why traveling is an investment in yourself and why dabbling in adventures, rather than expensive products, is a much better asset to have in your stock. The only question is, where will you go next?

The Community Self Build Agency partners with Plymouth City Council on new veteran self-build scheme
The Community Self Build Agency has once again partnered with Plymouth City Council on a new veteran self-build scheme, following the successful completion of the award-winning Nelson Project.
The council has selected a site reserved for new housing as part of its Joint Local Plan, a former residential home in Honicknowle, known as Stirling House. The unused building will be demolished and replaced with a number of self-build housing opportunities for ex-military personnel and their families.
The exact number of properties to be developed is yet to be confirmed, however subject to planning, the scheme aims to house 12 veterans and provide wheelchair units as well as affordable housing.
As with the Nelson Project, the Community Self Build Agency and Plymouth City Council has partnered with DCH and Form Design to create the new housing development. DCH will take control of the land and will manage the completed properties, while CSBA arm, Veterans’ Self Build, will manage the construction process.

Labour of Love
In a time of wide political unrest, it seems only natural that the British people would turn to humour to pull themselves through. Luckily the latest play from James Graham will help us to do just that. Set in an old mining town in Nottinghamshire, Labour of Love is a nostalgic comedy that flawlessly combines passionate political opinion with tender personal moments.
In essence the play walks the audience through the turbulent history of the Labour party, from the time when “a lemon would be elected” if it were running for Labour, to the loss of northern seats to the Conservatives in the 2017 election. Graham draws on key historical moments in a way that gets the audience romanticising about the good old days.
