I just discovered that Sebastian's last name in Fallout is Leslie this only adds to my suspicions that all of Matt Berry's roles are somehow related. There's at least one Mighty Boosh reference in WWDITS, Laszlo Cravensworth is also known as Leslie, Fred Armisen keeps popping up everywhere for like one episode, in the Spongebob movie where Matt plays King Neptune there's a gag about Atlantis = Atlantic City similar to how Laszlo describes Atlantic City. Are all these roles that Steven Toast has played? Am I just slightly obsessed with Matt Berry? Why does he keep appearing in my fandoms??

Hey peeeeps I've started on my ABO Laszlermo fic aka weird SHC AU and I'm wondering if anyone would like to volunteer their time to be a beta reader? You will be given credit on ao3/tumblr and obviously get to read the shenanigans before everyone else and offer any of your own feedback, corrections or unhinged ideas. There's just a couple of 'musts'

-Must have read/be familiar with my fic Sweet Home Clairton

-Must be comfortable with ABO (namely Alpha/Onega) dynamics and mpreg

-Must be comfortable with Laszlermo (kind of a given) and also Nadja/Nandor

Hiiiiii I loved Sweet Home Clairton and I also love the concept of ABO Laslermo with a baby and so I was thinking about how Colin and his girlfriend were having a baby…and Uncle Colin… and it suddenly became a mashup of Colin’s baby and Laszlo/Guillermo’s baby growing up together like cousins 😭 I’m so sorry, ignore me I’m very weird! lol

Aw thank you! Firstly that idea is so adorable and secondly it's funny you say that because I was toying with the idea last night of Laszlo taking Guillermo to Clairton to escape megahorny rutting Nandor. On top of that I sooo badly want to write more of Colin and his lucky lady.

Questions to help break through a ‘I can’t do the Thing’ wall

I’m not doing the Thing, but if I were to do the Thing, what would be the first bit to tackle?

eg: I’m having trouble washing up. I’ll start by just getting all the dishes into one place and emptying the drying rack.

Often, you might find that the first bit was what you were stuck on, and now you’ve done that, you feel ready to do the whole Thing. But if not, that’s fine, you’ve set things up to be easier later! Similarly:

What can I do to set things up for when I’m ready?

eg: I need to apply for a job vacancy I’ve seen. That feels really overwhelming and I don’t have the energy right now. I will create an email with the correct address in and open the files I’ll need for tomorrow.

Half-done is half more than you had before, and it will make things easier when you come back. Reduce the friction and complexity as much as you can.

Will this task actually be any easier if I do it later?

eg: I need to re-spray my waterproofs. It’s sunny today but it’s going to be raining all week, so it would actually be easier to do it now so I can do it outside and let them air. ‘Kay FINE, guess I will.

or: I want to make progress on my Creative Endeavour. I’m having a lot of trouble focussing at the moment but tomorrow I’ll be better rested and my Creative Group will be meeting. It will genuinely be easier then so I should stop worrying about it for now.

Sometimes, you realise that it would legitimately be easier to do a task later. Other times, you realise it would suck more to put it off, and that can help give you a nudge to do it sooner. It also helps reframe it in your head from “will I do the Thing?” to “when will I do the Thing?”

These are some questions that I use myself and I thought I’d share them to see if they’re handy for anyone else!

WWDITS ship brainvomit

Probably not a popular opinion but my opinion nontheless. I'm totally fine with Nandermo never happening, despite being an og Nandermo shipper. Nandor isn't good for Guillermo, their relationship has been unhealthy from the start and would take waaay longer than just a few episodes to fix.

What I really am here for (to the surprise of literally no one) is Nadja and Nandor spending time together, and Laszlo and Guillermo getting to know each other, both of which we've seen multiple times these past couple seasons. There has been more growth in these relationships than there has been with Nandermo. I may be biased because Laszlo has always been my fave character but I truly believe he's a better match for Guillermo. I love Laszlo/Nadja but I'm definitely toying with ideas of exclusively Nandor/Nadja and Guillermo/Laszlo, much like SHC but without the end polycule.

Also shout out to Colin just because. Over the past 6 seasons he's gone from being my least fave character to becoming my fave character alongside Laszlo.

Anyway I'm really enjoying season 6 and it's got me back into writing fic!

Some biro drawings I've been doing lately. I've always been fascinated by what artists can do with ballpoint pen and I wanted to try it myself. I did the spider first and had NO idea what I was doing. The horse I did second, and now I'm working on the dog and feeling a bit more confident. I've just ordered some of those 10-colour kids ballpoint pens so I can be more creative with colours.

These are A5 size. The horse and dog are exclusively black biro. The spider is coloured biro with posca white paint pen for highlights and a wee bit of coloured india ink.
