Pastel chalk drawing of my sister

Hey, our exercise at school was to draw a portrait of somebody with pastel chalk. This piece is pretty big, I drew it on an A2 paper. So it took me about 10 hours to finish it. At the beginning I loved this drawing a lot, but now that I am finished, I am not sure what to think about it. What do you think?

ATLAS BEETLE X-RAY

As always it was so much fun to work with Prismacolor pencils on black paper. I simply love the colours, it's really great to pick a photo so that you can use it as colour palette. (I used a beautiful photo of a flower as a colour reference).

The first sketch in my black sketchbook that I don't hate that much🙈🖤

Even though I have drawn several things on black paper by now, it's still just as satisfying as before. That's great, because I usually get bored quite easily.

I am soon going to come back with a more serious and detailed work, I just need some #power and #inspiration. See you❤️

SUNBIRD

Hi, it took me 3 days to finish this sunbird's skeleton. I was inspired by a beautiful picture of a sunset, that is why I chose these colours. For the skeleton I also used a reference photo, but that was not that good of a quality, so it was quite hard to figure out the anatomy... I hope that there aren't any vets around...😅 Anyways, what do you think?

Hey, yesterday I finished this quick messy sketch of a seahorse. I used a white watercolour pencil. I have been thinking about giving this seahorse some colours and cleaning up the lines...
