I wrote poetry about overcome (I’m not over coming anything)

So stop telling me what I’m capable of,

because they don’t see what it took

to keep going when I never wanted to.

I was never supposed to survive,

but somehow, I’m still here,

even when survival feels like a curse,

not a gift.
