Tonight's studying vibe.
Instead of using a timer to count down the remaining time, I've been using music. It's less tense. This one is about 27 minutes, which gives me 3 minutes to wrap whatever I'm reviewing, reading, and revising.

august 31, 2020.
Happy last day of August! Lets hope that September will be a little bit better time for all of us. We had a short story unit in AP Lit and here’s an assignment we had to answer when we read The Story of an Hour by Kate Chopin! As far as I remember, it was a pretty interesting story. I hope everyone will adjust well to the new month coming and into the new school year; don’t forget to take breaks, stay hydrated, and to always look at the bright light at the end of the tunnel. You are all loved and treasured! 🤍✨

“Wishes, dear friend, for confidence and joy.” -Rainer Maria Rilke
Just a few snapshots of some moments in the last few weeks. Autumn is finally upon us and the semester begins soon. I have a practical course next week so I’m studying and preparing for it rn with the help of hot chocolate and my plant friends lol next semester is going to be really demanding especially since (if everything goes right) my second state exam is coming up! I’m going to start preparing for it now so let’s see if I’ll be able to fight my procrastination habits :)

every minute spent on planning saves you ten minutes spent on execution. short essays probably don't require that much preparation beforehand, but if you're writing something longer you should probably spend some time planning first. this is the process i go through when planning my essays, and i find it works really well!

whenever you read a paragraph with new content, close the book/look away and ask yourself: “what have i just learned?” explaining the concept to yourself right away and asking follow-up questions will change the way you retain new material forever. trust me.
