Two things I’ve noticed about Jinx;

She never calls Silco “dad” - but she refers to Vander as “dad” twice. Once when she mentions to Vi that he’s “her father too” and again in the last episode, she directly says to him “dad?”

One thing I always was a little sad about was the idea that Jinx saw Silco as more of her father than Vander - but now I’m wondering if she EVER truly saw Silco as her dad. I mean, she never once refers to Silco as such.

Many people, including Silco, refer to Jinx as his daughter but never him as her Dad.

I do wonder if it’s due to Jinx, while clearly caring a lot about him, not viewing him that way OR some small part of her holding resentment to him because of how he killed Vander.

In addition to that; Jinx constantly refers to Vi as her sister, like ALL the time. In almost every sentence, she calls Vi “sis,” sometimes affectionately, mostly as a more of insult. But she says it at least on 7 seperate occasions in season 2 alone.

Aside from 1.03 where Silco first takes Powder in and she says that Vi is “not her sister” anymore, Jinx NEVER claims that Vi is no longer her sister.

Vi does. Multiple times in season 2, she says Powder is gone and that Jinx is not her sister. She says it to Caitlyn and to Jinx’s face herself.

It’s super interesting to me that while Jinx clearly tries to separate herself from her past and from Powder, the girl she used to be, she still clearly see Vi and Vander as her family. She’s always been Powder, that’s never changed.

Jinx has tried so hard to kill that part of herself but as long as she still views Vi as her sister, Vander as her dad, she is never going to be rid of her younger self; the girl who only wanted to protect her family.

And that’s not even touching the subject of Ekko; the only person from her past that has fully accepted her as both Powder and Jinx and loves her anyway, the only person she has not been able to bring herself to kill, the only person who never once appeared as one of her hallucinations. As such, the only person aside from Isha who she never seemed to hallucinate around.

Anyway this is just me rambling.

everytime I hear “Isha’s Song”, it sounds like “Future Days” is about to play. Like the strumming at the start sounds so similar and it just HURTS

i think the funniest consequence of arcane was to cultivate this new breed of fans who know the entire runeterra lore and are familiar with all the important champions without ever having played a Riot game, just because they didnt want to miss any of the sick easter eggs and hidden lore references in the show.

which is probably the ideal, healthiest combination.

Guys - Jinx thought Ekko was dead. She didn’t know he was alive.

So when he came to save her - she thought he was a hallucination just like Silco. She even says the same thing.

To silco when he appears when she’s in prison: “You’re too late.”

To Ekko when he stops her from killing herself: “You’re too late Ekko”

She only realised he was real when she saw him bleeding and when he said “blow us both up.” And when she realised he was actually there, and that setting the bomb off would kill him too, she jumped off the ledge instead.

something I noticed with Jinx’s song “Wasteland” - my sister off handedly said while listening to it for the first time that she keeps waiting for it to drop.

And I realised that I was too and that was what had been unnerving me about the song - the music keeps swelling and you keep expecting some large break but I never happens.

And I found it symbolic of Jinx trying to kill herself over and over and Ekko stopping her each time. The moment swells, she sets of the bomb, and then it pulls back and goes quiet again. It never breaks, that release is never there.

And then when she finally sacrifices herself at the end - it’s quiet. There’s still no big break or dramatic drop. It goes completely soft as she falls; because she wasn’t trying to destroy herself anymore. She was saving her sister and she was FINALLY at peace with that and with her own death.

For 3 years, there’s been a running joke that Jinx actually loathes Caitlyn and is obsessed with her and just wants her dead, and Caitlyn is kind of indifferent but doesn’t like her.

The idea everyone had was Jinx being obsessed with Caitlyn.

And then season 2 drops and Caitlyn is going FERAL over finding Jinx and Jinx just… doesn’t care LMAO.

Maybe in the first act, but even then, most of her anger was directed toward Vi. She didn’t really care about Caitlyn at all. And then in Act 2, I doubt Jinx really remembered Caitlyn all that much until they met again in the commune.

And Caitlyn here has turned in Count Dracula and is torturing and arresting people left and right to find Jinx and Jinx is just living her best life being a single teen mum.

it is VERY much looking like (based on the Act 3 teaser) that Jinx is going to try and kill herself due to Isha’s death, and Ekko is going to reverse time to save her.

If it ends up being that Ekko has to rewind time MULTIPLE times over to stop her from succeeding, im actually going to sob.
