The real posing question was that did she just not want to go to the party or did she just not want to go to the party with him? Maybe the old Billy Hargrove would have questioned it, would have had a chip on his shoulder about being declined. But instead he just gave a small but charming smile, leaning against his car.

"No big deal. Party is probably gonna be lame anyway. If you change your mind and wanna go, just let me know." He replied, handing over a small piece of paper with his number.

People being rude was something that Billy expected. What he didn't expect was someone actually going out of their way to apologize to him after being rude. For a moment he was silent before giving a small shrug of his shoulders.

The thought of Steve getting ready for bed in one of his shirts was enough to make Billy's chest flood with an odd warmth that he was only used to in Steve's company. It was like he had some kind of magical skills to make Billy almost feel human again. "Sweetheart...I may wear a shirt more often when I'm not around you simply because I don't really care to have others looking. I may keep a hoodie of yours for safekeeping for the same reason. Surprised you haven't noticed it's missing yet."
