“I rented a house 20 miles from the city on Long Island. I lived at West Egg...in a forgotten groundskeeper's cottage, squeezed among the mansions of the newly rich. Considering…everything about me, I got a job at a bank, a very poor job, but still a job. And  I bought a dozen volumes on credit, banking, and investments. All new to me. So much new stuff in a short amount of time…Well, of course, nothing is 100 percent. I wouldn't go investing every penny.” 

Alastor got off track a bit but went back to the point. “When I was a child, I dreamed of being a writer, but I gave that all up. Especially thanks to the war. But with the sun shining and the bursts of leaves on the trees, I planned to spend the summer studying. And I probably would have...were it not...for the riotous amusements that beckoned from beyond the walls of that colossal castle owned by a woman I had not yet met...named Charlotte.”

Will the Spider Family episode mirror Exes and Oohs? Part Three

With both Hellaverse shows having characters that have had mob upbringings and abusive mafia fathers, along with Welcome to Heaven having parallels to Mastermind, it got me to ask this question. Will the episode we get to meat Angel Dust's mob family have parallels to the one we learned about Moxxie's mafia past? This question got me to share this thought and theories in three separate posts (it was original meant to be one but I got carried away), the first two focused on what might be seen or referenced in the flashback scenes of Angel's days alive and his early afterlife days; while in this I be sharing my theories on what could be seen in the present day events of the episode. If you recall Crimson used IMP as a means to bring Moxxie back to him, so there is a chance that Henroin might use the hotel or any other means to get Angel to return back to his family. Before we get into what those means might be, I want to suppose the possibility that Angel could be the one who approaches his father on his accord.

If you remember what Husk said about Mimzy as he reminds Alastor that she always gets herself into messes she needs the Radio Demon to get her out of, there is a chance that she might find herself in trouble with Henroin and asks Angel for help (as it would be a great way to bring her back). After getting the impression that Alastor won't be helping her again anytime soon and hopes that Angel could talk to him spider demon to spider demon; or had figured out he is his younger son. A secret that Henroin probably didn't want his allies to know about, if he was working his way to overlord or get the respect of Hell's mafia overlord. I don't think that Angel would want to help Mimzy after finding out who she got on the bad side of, but maybe after talking to Charlie or Husk, or starts to think about the good days he had with his family, he makes his way to the pride ring's version of Notamafia Town.

Most of the criminal actions that the mafia and other known crime organisations commit like murder, stealing and other acts that can be seen as sinful, there is a chance that hell is full of sinners that were in the mafia. If the cannibals can have their own town in Pentagram City, why can't there be a district for hell's mob sinners. If the Greed Ring ripped off Lucifer's Lu Lu World with Mammon's Loo Loo Land, I wouldn't be surprised if Notamafia Town turns out to be the greed version of Pentagram City's own mafia town. Everything hellborn know about the mafia could have came from sinners who were members of a mafia family. With Cannibal Town run by the Cannibal Overlord, maybe hell's first mob boss sinner became the mafia overlord. While the sinners who are from respected mafia families serve as their high ranking members, a group that Henroin would probably want to join or is a member of. Depends on how successful he was in life, and in hell. Should the Mafia Overlord have died during one of the past Exterminations, it would have the pride ring's mob families fighting for control or create a system that has them taking turns on who runs the town. Depending on how successful they are in hell. There is also a chance that Henroin and his fellow sinners have done dealings with hellborn crime organisations, open smuggling routs between the other rings, and possibly have a hand in the angelic weapons back market.

Sorry for getting off topic there, as I wanted to get another thought out of my head, lets go over the routs that might have Henroin and Arackniss be the ones who approach Angel. Henroin wouldn't want anything to do with a porn star, that is his son, but an exorcist slayer would earn him respectability. If the 666 news had a brief clip of Charlie and Vaggie in battle, along with the Vees watching the whole battle with their spy drone, there is a chance that a clip of a spider killing exorcist angels with tommy guns was probably shown as well. After all Arackniss's cameo, near the end of "The Show Must Go On," had him watching the news and if his brother had appeared on the screen as well, he would have told his father about it (which could be an interesting way to open up the episode). So how does Henroin get Angel to come back to him, in order to show his angel slayer son off to his buddies. While addressing Angel as his living name, but Angel would keep telling his dad and brother to call him by his afterlife name.

Option one: Angel gets kidnapped on his way to or from work. Should the Vees witness the event, they would call the hotel so they won't have to waste money or manpower on Angel. Along with making sure that the Vees don't make enemies with the mob, but would gladly have the hotel get on the mafia's bad side. If Valentino knew about Angel's family from the spider himself, he would know who took his favourite toy (sorry for saying that Angel). As for the ones I can see going to Angel's rescue, they would be Husk and Cherri Bomb, giving them the opportunity to get to know each other better and even bond through Angel. Since "Welcome to Heaven" had them butting heads with Cherri trying to get Angel to go back to his bad habits, while Husk doesn't want Angel to ruin his chance at redemption. If one of Henroin's rivals were the ones who kidnap Angel instead, Cherri and Husk would go to Arackniss for help. Cherri is the shoulder Angel cries on (as shown in Addicted), so he could have mentioned his family to her, and maybe after a night of a few drinks Angel could have told Husk thing or two about them as well.

Option two: Henroin and Arackniss come to the hotel. I can see Charlie inviting them for dinner, after learning that Angel has family in hell and thought it would be a good idea, to help Angel mend fences with them. Angel on the other hand would ask Charlie what she was thinking, while part of his full demon form shows, like when Angel dared Husk to call him fake one more time. Henroin would expect the invitation as it was from Hell's princess, and would allow him to convince Angel to re-join the family. The dinner scene in Exes and Ooh also has me seeing this happening.

Now I don't think Angel and his father will reconnect, like Charlie and Lucifer were able to do, but the Arackniss fan series by AxelGear on YouTube has me hoping that the Spider Brothers will patch things up. Maybe even have Angel offer Arackniss the option weather or not to join the hotel, like he did with Cherri. Another thing I would like to see in the episode is Angel standing up to father, though for something I see this scene having a reference to Pixar's Turning Red. With both Angel and Henroin in their full demon forms, like we saw in the stand off with the kings of Lust and Greed, as Angel tells his father to not hurt his friends and that he is proud of who he is. Someone who likes men, someone who likes to wear pink and women's clothes, someone who wants to try every sex toy and drug he can get his hands on, someone who has a new family within the hotel and someone who'll hopeful get the chance to see his mother and sister again in heaven.

Well those are my thoughts on the rout that Angel's mob family episode could go, unless Vizziepop has other plans for it and doesn't want to parallel a new Hazbin Hotel episode with a past Helluva Boss episode. So we'll see how it goes and hope we get it in future seasons, since Vivziepop revealed in a reply message on Bluesky that Henroin won't be in season 2, though the words she used in her reply being: "Not season two. But. ☺️" has me hoping that we might get Arackniss in the upcoming season (as his voice actor has been cast), or that Henroin might simply be mentioned in it. Fingers cross on Arackniss appearing in S2. Thanks for taking the time to read these posts, and to quote AxelGear's take on Arackniss, See you on the other side.
