Last November, 21-year old songstress Daughter (Elena Tondra), released a beautiful EP titled The Wild Youth. Not sure how I missed this one, it’s right up my alley with lovely, dark and introspective folk music, perfect for a gray day like today. It’s hard not to compare her voice to Feist’s, and for those of us who felt Feist’s Metals left something to be desired, Daughter fills that void. “Landfill” is off her previous release, His Young Heart, and you can stream all of her tunes over on her Bandcamp.
