The Rookie + Chenford + Mary Sue
I decided to watch The Rookie and although at the beginning it didn't hook me much at the end if it has achieved its purpose, now I love it!, I have drawn a number of conclusions and they are the following:
Tim Bradford is really great, he is the best character in the whole show. The sexy grumpy cop.
Chenford are so precious together, and they have set things up for Season 8 to get back together, I want it to end in a wedding and those kids they talk about so much even if it's as a joke.
Bailey is a totally insufferable character, a HUGE Mary Sue. She's the typical character that is redundant and adds absolutely nothing.
I think Tim's sister Genny would have been a better match for Nolan.
I'm looking forward to seeing Malcolm Reynolds again.

Buck's house, Buddie and Crazy Theories
I was talking to a friend about Buddie this afternoon over coffee, she's a fan but doesn't follow the couple much on social media because she hates X, Instagram, Facebook and etc.
We talked about the screw up with Bobby's death as well, and my view is that after what they did with Bobby now the show needs something stable and ongoing, and the only thing they have is Buddie, and Buck looking for a house would be adding more drama, it's one thing to search and another to find that house so easily, and I have a feeling he's going to want to look for something similar to Eddie's house and he's not going to find it so easily, because he's not looking for a house but a home, they're two different concepts. It would be nice if during that search he finally admitted his feelings, if he confronted Eddie and that was the trigger for Eddie to admit his own and face those giant ghosts he still has, if all that house-hunting resulted in the birth of Buddie canon.
I still have a post about the Season 8 finale to publish, but I don't know whether to do it or not.

The King of Queerbaitingland
(I don't care about spoilers right now)
Tim Minear, 911 and the biggest queerbaiting of the history. Thank you Tim Minear, I sincerely hope that all your shows are cancelled.
They're so stupid that they didn't realize after 8 seasons that they have one of the best LGBT storylines on their hands, but of course, if Buck were a woman and Eddie were a man and vice versa, they'd have been a couple a long time ago, and I'd bet they'd even be ahead of Maddie and Chimney by far.
For Minear, Kristen Reidel and their people, Buddie's only mission is to promote the series using false promises, exploiting the largest fandom or ship the series has, creating an entire marketing campaign with interviews that ultimately turn out to be nothing. Playing with the fans' feelings is not right at all. First you kill Bobby, now you kill Buddie, at least until Season 9. Another season of queerbaiting where we have to keep seeing the face of that terrible character named Tommy, who looks like a plastic statue? and played by an actor who's also really bad actor, something I've already seen in SWAT, he's just muscle, not talent. They could have chosen someone better.
Right now I'm so pissed off 🤬

POST IN ENGLISH

The Grief of Buck and Eddie
This post is to express my opinion on some comments I've been reading over the last few days about a specific couple from 911, about how they're coping with their grief, about their emotions, so I must clarify that it contains SPOILERS for episode 8x17. And also a brief personal experience dealing with grief. And since I don't feel like looking for another photo, I'll use the one from the previous post, which I really like.
POST IN SPANISH
I've read comments saying Eddie is aggressive toward Buck, almost blaming him for everything that happened with Bobby. It seems like only Buck has the right to grieve for Bobby's death, but Eddie doesn't.
Buck turned it all into me, me, and ultimately me always. He turned it all into "you've been offered a job as a firefighter in El Paso, and I'll have to find out from others". Buck was surrounded by people since Bobby died, he lived his death with the rest of the 118, he was there, and Eddie? too many miles away, in El Paso, a place where he is not happy and where he is obligated to be, he found out in the middle of the night and had to tell Chris that another person who was a vital figure in his life had died, and all while Eddie was alone, with no one, was it Buck who called him? I think not, I think it was Karen, so Buck is not the only one who has the right to be angry at the world, Eddie showed it there in the only way he knows how, it is a feeling that is not new to him, unlike Buck and others, Eddie lost comrades and friends in the Army, and I bet some still haunt him, imagine the magnitude of what this was like for him to lose Bobby, knowing that he was far away and unable to help with the doubt of whether that would have changed Bobby's destiny, that must have been the closest thing to a star exploding.
In some comments, you can read that Eddie was selfish in using Chris to avoid apologizing to Buck. Apologize for what? For grieving his way? Couldn't Chris have been the one who decided to go to LA, for example? Eddie knew that what Buck needed most was to feel loved and needed, implying that he needs to process his grief himself, in his own way, and allowing himself to feel emotions, and not be dependent on others. Their connection is so profound that they don't need words to support each other, only gestures are suffice.
A brief personal experiencie with grief
Everyone grieves the way they can, and I know this from my own experience. My father died of cancer a few years ago, he was diagnosed at a very advanced stage, a final one. On the day of his burial, people who urgently needed to find a new life said that I was very happy for my father's death and that it was a disgrace. While talking to some friends, I said, "How do those people know how I grieved?" Happy? Yes, of course I was happy, dying inside as is normal, those gossips didn't have to live through his final weeks, especially the last one when he was already unconscious and on morphine, Happy to know that he was no longer suffering? Of course, I'm a person who finds it hard to show my feelings in public, I try to be strong, not only for myself but for my family, but when I'm alone I can spend days crying. May those stupid people forgive me for not showing my feelings in public, my pain wasn't a show.

POST IN ENGLISH

The Magic of Eddie Diaz?

Another spoiler-heavy post, featuring an episode 8x17 of 911, which was very, very interesting. I don't know how reliable IMDb is because anyone with an account can vote, you just have to register to do so. The ratings haven't come out yet, but I suspect they'll be quite high. I planned this post in my head, but I didn't have anything handy to write down, and my phone's battery was running low, and I forgot my power bank at home. So, as I was writing this, I realized I was forgetting a lot of things I'd like to say. But it doesn't matter. If I don't write everything I have in my head now, I'll do it another day. After all, there's still one more episode left in the season.
POST IN SPANISH
Bobby is hinting that he’s 100% dead (I don’t want to believe it) so the show now needs something to pull it along, I don’t see any character having the pull that Bobby/Peter Krause could give it, not even the extraordinary Angela Bassett/Athena, whose stories lately I don’t know if they make sense or not, rather I think they are just to remind us that she’s still there with what I feel like they are wasting her potential, just like Maddie, with her kidnapping and now Baby Han who will supposedly be born in the next and last episode of the season, surely taking up a lot of unnecessary minutes. The thing is that last week they’ve done a lot of promotion for Buddie, and even Ryan Guzman and Oliver Stark have several interviews together scheduled next week, too much of a coincidence for it to just be smoke, right?, Are they going to use Buddie as a new hook?, How are they going to use him? That’s the matter.
This week's episode had a huge variable, and that's the return of Eddie Diaz, the episode had some intense Eddie content, like his conversation with Hen and Karen, and I realized that I want more moments between Eddie and Karen, from there a beautiful friendship could come out, also very intense scenes with Buck, like a fight in which they show us that Eddie receives the devastating call in the early morning being alone and with the complicated task of telling Chris, he shows his deep sadness for Bobby's death, even a lot of guilt for not helping, doubting if his presence would have changed things, like Eddie said: Bobby saved his life, we also have a scene of Buck calling Eddie a jerk when he left him a note saying he was going to the airport and obviously believing he returned to Texas, the scene when he returns home and sees Eddie to reveal that he only said he was going to the airport, not that he was going to Texas, to reveal that he only went to the airport to pick up Chris , who is shown to be very sad for Bobby, also a great conversation between Tia Pepa and Evancito, with Pepa calling him “Cariño” (dear, honey…), I think she sees something between Buck and Eddie, our Eddie.
If with everything we've seen, Buddie isn't canon, it's definitely something to want to cancel this show. They can't use Buddie as queerbaiting, they can't keep dragging it out to keep people glued to the television waiting for them to be canon and for Tim Mienar to slowly make it clear that it's always going to be a I can but I don't want to, no, right now Buddie has only one way out and that's to be canon, this episode has made it too clear, and it's something we can repeat constantly, they have so much chemistry on screen that I think it erases everything else, if they want the series to survive Bobby, it's time for Buddie to have a big weight, but not as best friends, but as a couple, although they take it step by step without rushing. Season 9 has to start with Buddie canon and they have to give a very clear proof in the last episode of Season 8 in a week.
If the ratings for episode 8x17 are high (they haven't come out yet), although those for 8x16 were high, I think it's because of the curiosity of the doubt of whether Bobby was alive or dead, and the scores too, on IMDb the episode has a score of 8.9/10 (I don't know if IMDb is very reliable), for me it's only going to be due to one factor, and that's Eddie Diaz and that there was already a lot of anxiety to see him, the mistreatment that we know was given to this character in Season 8B has been scandalous and I think that has made many people empathize with him, basically they treated him like a secondary character, preventing him from being in the episode I think was the most relevant of the show, even the franchise, and not being able to say goodbye to Bobby, something that I think is going to haunt him for a long time, he knows what it's like to lose coworkers who were also friends, and Bobby for Eddie was more than a friend, he was a mentor, a father figure, a savior.
We must stick with the fact that Eddie is back. From the very first minutes of the episode, we've learned that he's been offered a position with the El Paso Fire Department, the question is whether he's returning to Los Angeles or staying in El Paso for good. I think, why would he bring Chris back to Los Angeles if not to stay? We know he's staying home, in Los Angeles, Hen realized that he referred to Los Angeles as home. Now, there remains the question of how to integrate him into the 118 again, Hen said that there would be a paramedic position left because they had offered him the position of captain. In the end, I bet it's going to be Chimney, this leaves the other paramedic position free and Eddie could fill it. Is Eddie and Hen a working couple? I love it, and if Hen finally overcomes her fears and decides to be Captain, Chimney will be an excellent partner for Eddie, although they would be very dangerous if there are paranormal issues involved. They gave us one of the funniest episodes of the entire show, with a cursed bracelet as the protagonist, and Eddie would be back at the 118, the place where he belongs.
EDITED: The ratings for episode 8x17 have already been released. They weren't as high as other weeks. It didn't reach 4 million, although it was close to it. But I think there were major sporting events in the United States on Thursday, like NBA?, I don't know if that had anything to do with it, or if Peter Krause's forced departure from the series will have consequences. I imagine they haven't yet accounted for the global ratings from the streaming platforms.
I haven't had much time to review this post, so please forgive any mistakes. I have a habit of writing posts in Spanish and then translate them.

POST IN ENGLISH

Is hope the last thing to be lost?
This post is going to have a lot of SPOILERS for Season 8 of 9-1-1 and it's going to be very long, so I'll keep all of its content hidden. There are so many things I have to say, much of it will be repeated, and also much I'm going to forget, so I'm going to go point by point so I can keep things more or less organized and try to forget as few things as possible.
My English is not perfect so I apologize for the likely numerous mistakes there will be.
POST IN SPANISH
To start with everything that's happened in the last few episodes, I don't know what to feel. Yes, I'm sad that Bobby died, but I think that feeling is overshadowed by a stronger one: anger. An anger caused by the way Peter Krause was removed from the series, a decision that everything points to not being his but creative, a whim by Tim Minear to give the series realism, a controversial and very botched decision that didn't go down well. In addition to the mistreatment of another character who, if well written, could almost be the most powerful of all: Eddie.
TIM MINEAR The guru, the big boss, or so he pretends to be, a guy who's already getting a bit tired with his rather controversial decisions. I have a feeling he doesn't like taking on more than one project at a time, or I don't know what's going on with him anymore. FOX cancels 911: Lone Star, a series with an already solid foundation, good ratings, and actors with charisma, and months later they announce a spin-off starring Chris O'Donnell and Jessica Capshaw, set in Nashville, to be broadcast on ABC. Are you canceling an established series to create a new one? Even though it's broadcast by different networks, the owners are the same. If they know that FOX probably no longer wants Lone Star on its schedule, why don't they move it to ABC? I feel like this point is related to the rest, because thinking very badly, I dare say that Tim Minear's goal is to get 911 canceled, one of the highest-rated series currently. No, it definitely wouldn't be too strange to think that Tim Minear is boycotting his own series, but why is he doing it when it has been renewed for Season 9? Isn't it better to do it now and give a closed and happy ending?.
BOBBY One of the most beloved characters of all is the Captain, the leader, but Tim Minear decides to kill him off without considering anyone, not even Disney executives. He did it at his own risk, a creative decision because Peter Krause didn't want to leave the series, and if, for example, the actor wanted to slow down the work rate, he would simply have to cut the number of episodes in half or even less, he can afford that luxury. If 911 was known for anything, it's for not killing off its main characters, which I think is very positive. You can kill off supporting characters, guests, but not main characters, they're sacred. But he did it, he killed Bobby Nash in a botched way. The backlash against this plot is immense, on IMDb the score for episode 8x15 is terrible, although I don't know if that website can be considered very truthful, 8x16 has a score of 2.2 / 10 at 4:20 p.m. on May 2nd, we'll have to see the ratings because 8x15 didn't have very good ones but I think they later recovered a lot thanks to streaming but many days later and it's been two weeks since the episode aired. All of this translates to the fact that what Tim Minear still thinks is an excellent idea has turned out to be the worst idea ever had in this series.
EDDIE Now let's move on to Eddie. I'm going to repeat myself and say that he's the most complicated character they've had to write due to his complexity. A character who has become too big for them, and they don't know how to write him, when they have the oportunity to bring into view through his eyes very serious real-world problems like depression, also problems related to religion, sexuality, and not knowing who you really are because all your life, due to your upbringing, you've been too repressed. In Season 7 we have a very disastrous story, a double of Shannon called Kim appears by magic, with which he becomes obsessed, causing tremendous trauma to his son, why? I think to get the actor who plays Chris out of the series partially, Gavin McHugh no longer lives in Los Angeles, and in addition to being a teenager and obviously having a busier life, he has cerebral palsy with limited mobility, which makes traveling not so easy for him either, isn't it better to get rid of this character altogether? I think so, there were many ways to get him out of the series, like going to Texas with his grandparents but by Eddie's decision, without any drama in between, or an exchange with another school that would be better for him, there were many possibilities but no, they took him away from Eddie, he went to live with his grandparents, then Eddie decides to go live in El Paso and there the firefighters don't want him, they reduce him to living in a ruined house, to being an Uber driver with a horrible Prius, to having to deal with his toxic parents, and they also prevent him from being in that double episode where Bobby dies. He didn't get the chance to say goodbye to him, and then he shows up in Los Angeles as if nothing had happened, sitting in the living room of his house (now Buck's) drinking coffee after Buck went to pick him up from the airport. We know Eddie's going to be there for the final stretch of the season, that Bobby told him he had his position there for when he returned, but what about now that Bobby's gone? Gerrard is going to be the captain, at least temporarily. Will he respect what Bobby told Eddie? Can a firefighter who is currently a civilian work as a firefighter? Would it be too far-fetched for Eddie to be the new captain of the 118th next season? At Bobby's funeral, they positioned him between Gerrard and Hen. He was a soldier, he knows about discipline, respect, and how to react with a cool head in the face of adversity. Will he be interested in being captain? I think he'd do well, but it's obviously not going to happen. My candidate is Hen.
At this point, I wouldn't be surprised if Ryan Guzman decided to leave the show, but as long as the show lasts, which at this rate I don't think it will last past Season 9, that is if they don't decide to cut it short, it's still work, and he has two young children to support.
BUDDIE They've been showing for many years that the relationship between Eddie and Buck is much more extensive than it seems, and since Season 7 they've been selling us that they could be more than just friends. In Season 8, Buck even admitted to having feelings for Eddie but denied it because Eddie is supposedly straight. They've been giving us very powerful scenes, to the point that today, being a romantic couple, being canon, is the only possible way out for them, and also the most important long-running story the show has had and still has. But in these last three episodes, there hasn't been any progress, and seeing how the last two episodes of the season are presented, I don't think there will be either. Right now I feel that for Tim Minear Buddie has only been an end to reach a medium that is one more way to attract an audience, using a possible LGBT male couple who also have enormous chemistry as a hook to make it possible, what they call queerbaiting, which I would put more names like 911baiting, tvshowbaiting, buddiebaiting, eddiebaiting, buckbaiting ... something that would be truly scandalous, in addition the writers have had the possibility of ending a romantic Buddie definitively and they have not done it but have even fanned it more, but are they really interested in Buddie canon and are they going to continue down that path? or are they only interested in the Buddie that serves as a hook, and they are more than that, a biracial LGBT couple: Latino + white, they have something incredible on their hands, I hope ABC forces them to go ahead with them, because you would have to be really stupid to waste it.
MONEY MATTERS Is Peter Krause's forced departure from the show a financial objective? We know he's an executive producer, that after Angela Bassett, he's the highest earner per episode, that he didn't want to leave, and they've even admitted it's due to creative reasons. Is it too expensive for them to keep the actor? So why create another spin-off if you already have a series with one of the best ratings? Isn't it more interesting to keep one of the most beloved characters in the entire series? I see another character who currently makes no sense to me, and that's Maddie. Right now, I only see her as Chimney's wife and mother of his children, in addition to being Buck's sister. Yes, they're including a plot in which she's kidnapped to remind us she exists, but a character with a history of abuse, who was a nurse, could create plots that help people, just like Eddie. But they've even reduced the plots involving her work as a 911 dispatcher. Isn't it better to save money there? to get rid of this character who currently contributes very little and who I think has, Jennifer Love Hewitt, the third highest salary in the entire show, and it really angers me because Maddie is a character with tremendous potential.
Wouldn't it also be better to change some sponsors looking for others that give more money? They have made Eddie change his GMC Denali for a hideous Toyota Prius, there I see a change of sponsor and I almost dare say that Eddie's next car will be a Toyota, they have changed Buck's Jeep for a Nissan, there are also Amazon ads ... not to mention that isn't it cheaper to create personal stories that link all the characters instead of creating a mega emergency with absurd helicopter chases included, and with the insolence that Tommy was in the episode in which not even one of the protagonists appears and in which you also kill off your star?.
IS BOBBY REALLY DEAD? I'm still holding out hope that it's all a game on Tim Minear's part and that he wasn't foolish enough to kill Bobby off permanently. There are some leaks in which he's apparently buried alive and that he calls 911. Oliver Stark and Jennifer Love Hewitt posted them on Instagram, but it was on April 1st, so why would they play such a macabre joke? If that's what it was, I see it as a huge lack of respect for all the fans. One possibility is that something happened in his past or recently that we don't yet know about that forced him to enter the witness protection program. The big emergency in episodes 8x14 and 8x15 would have served to help fake his death, with Athena obviously helping create his cover. Everything would be revealed in the final minutes of Season 8, and then Season 9 would begin to provide answers. Tim Minear has alluded to the film Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, where Spock dies, to reveal in Star Trek III: The Search for Spock that he isn't really dead. Obviously, that's not going to happen, and I'm afraid they really did kill Bobby off.
There's still more going on, but I have so much on my mind that I can't get it all out right now. There are two episodes left in which there's supposedly another major emergency. everything points to a major earthquake. I hope they make room for personal stories, and right now the only interesting one is Buddie. I suppose Maddie will also give birth, and that's probably going to take up more time than necessary. Personally, it's a plot that doesn't appeal to me very much. What can't be done is that out of an 18-episode season, three episodes are dedicated to the same plot at the beginning, and in the second half of the season, with 10 episodes remaining, episodes 14 and 15 become one, and possibly episodes 17 and 18 as well. Double episodes focusing on the same emergency take away time from continuing to develop other stories, like Eddie's and even Buddie's, which were abruptly cut short. Although in episode 14 they could have dedicated a few minutes to definitively resolving Eddie and Chris's story with his return to Los Angeles and not continue excluding the character. I prefer emergencies that last a single episode and that combine with the stories of each character.
We'll see what happens in the final stretch of the season, if Tim is just playing with us by making us believe he's taking Bobby and possibly Buddie away from us, or if he's definitely finished killing 911.

Veo la Luz💡
I See the Light 💡
🇪🇸 - 🇬🇧
Apagón en España y Portugal / Blackout in Spain and Portugal
🇬🇧 This morning at around 12:30h, I was happily working on my PC when suddenly the power went out. My only concern at that moment was that I had the PC on and that it hadn't broken down. My lunch wasn't cooked yet and I didn't give it any importance because I thought it would only last a few minutes. But those minutes turned into hours, until suddenly at 8:30 pm the power came back on. In total, about 9 hours without power, and service has still not been restored throughout the country. A blackout that affected Spain and Portugal, with no information yet as to what caused it.
Today I have drawn a few conclusions and that is that we are completely dependent on technology, to begin with at home we have everything electric, only gas for heating, we can't use the cars because the garage doors don't open, neither do the elevators, we only have to use our legs and the stairs, which is not bad either, except if you live on a very high floor, without metro, without trains, huge airports plunged into complete chaos, collapsed cities, especially Madrid, hospital problems... but above all the most valuable conclusion I have learned today is that we should not be so dependent on our mobile phones, one of the things that the blackout brought with it has been that the telecoms networks have gone down, or that they have collapsed, the positive thing? That I have been able to spend the afternoon without being pending on the mobile phone, dedicating it to reading on my Kindle, and that from now on on Sundays I am going to rest from my mobile phone, it will stay off until Monday.
Although I only have one regret: since there was no electricity, my coffee maker didn't work, I couldn't have my mid-afternoon coffee, and that is my great sacred moment of the day.

911 y las Decisiones Controvertidas Parte 2
911 and Controversial Decisions Part 2
🇬🇧 Part 2 of the post I wrote a few hours ago. As I refuse to accept what happened in episode 8x15 of 911 and I'm going to deny it now and forever, I've come up with a plot twist, I'm keeping it hidden because it contains spoilers.
POST EN ESPAÑOL
POST IN ENGLISH
🇬🇧 A plot twist: something has happened that has forced Bobby to fake his death and go into a witness protection program, using this emergency to stage it. In everyone's eyes, he will be dead, but Athena will know the truth because she would have been part of the game. The season ends with Bobby dead, only to be revealed in Season 9 that he is still alive and that they had to put him in witness protection because of something perhaps from his past that came to light, or because of something in the present that obviously we still don't know.
I'll probably post other theories another day, depending on what comes to mind and how much I feel like writing them.

911 and Controversial Decisions
I have so many things to say (with my imperfect english) that I don't think I can remember even half of them, and I'm sure I'll write a lot of them out of order. I'm going to copy and paste, adding more stuff, a comment I posted on Buddie's Reddit this morning, which if you're a Buddie fan, I highly recommend.
WARNING: CONTAINS SPOILERS
I refuse to believe that Bobby is dead and I want to think that it was someone's dream, his own for example, that everything will be resolved at the end of episode 8x16, if Peter Krause wanted to leave the show there were many other ways to do it without killing him off always leaving the door open for him to return even if it was just for one episode, or if he was struggling to keep up with the rhythm of work instead of 18 episodes it would be 6 for example, he can afford that luxury. If it was really a script thing, a creative decision, then it was a tremendously awful idea that is going to bring a lot of controversy, and they are doing it right after the renewal for season 9. That he was fired due to financial problems? Then it doesn't occur to them NOT to do a spin-off, 911 Nashville with Chris O'Donnell and Jessica Capshaw, next season and you will try by all means to retain your star actor?, yes, Peter Krause, the actor who could lead to a possible cancellation of the show and ABC deciding that there will no longer be a Season 9.
If it turns out to be all false and he hasn't died, then everything is planned down to the last detail. There's no confusion in the broadcast order, in other words, episode 13 isn't 15. They knew there would be a week break. It's two weeks of nonstop talk about the series, with tons of interviews, all of that is promotion, although it may not turn out the way they intended, but in a negative way because it could taint the spin-off, which hasn't even started yet. The farewell letter that Peter Krause wrote, he could very well write a thank-you letter and it could be used as a farewell, when perhaps it isn't.
There are some leaked scenes from Bobby's funeral in which Tommy and Gerrard also appear (it seems that this show (or Tim Minear) likes racism and homophobia because of the mania for bringing back these two elements), Eddie also appears (thank god), I don't believe this leak was a coincidence, there are images and videos that, due to the shots, the close-up, etc., were taken from within and not by the public who could have been watching them work. No, all of that was deliberately leaked, and I think it was to study people's reaction. Were they going to let something so important come to light? When there are plots that were kept secret until the end, isn't that too much of a coincidence? Is it really all a dream of Bobby's own? Let's hope so.
Let's go with Eddie . The character who can currently contribute the most interesting plots, and I'm not saying this because he's my favorite, I think everything has already been said, it was already suspected that he wouldn't be in episode 8x15 either, the mistreatment towards this character, I don't know what to call it anymore, it's INSULTING, I want to believe that he hasn't been in these two episodes because his schedule must have been a little crazy perhaps because he had to adapt to Gavin McHugh for El Paso (crappy)storyline, it's the explanation that makes the most sense to me, incompatibility to shooting different scenes at the same time in different places, that's why Bobby's death seems so strange to me and that Eddie is so isolated in that and that they're not even going to show us the call where they tell him what happened, something confirmed by Tim Minear himself. At this point I wouldn't be surprised at all if Ryan Guzman decided to leave the show but on the other hand it's a secure job and he has two small children, but if you are the main character and they treat the secondary characters as more important it's completely discouraging. I just hope he plays a significant role in the remaining episodes, but right now, I feel like Eddie is just even less than a supporting actor, just an extra. Honestly, I don't see Buddie as canon this season, and with all the trailers, it's starting to get tiring that they never ends up being just another promo/selling point for the show.
Now it's Tommy's turn, and I think I'm not going to mince my words anymore, I hate this character, not only is he boring but he's flat, he contributes absolutely nothing to the show, maybe except muscle, the actor is very bad and that translates to the character, you can't get something from where there is nothing, he's just a nepo who is an actor thanks to his last name but who is not good for that job, I'm sorry to be disrespectful, but that's what I feel. My anger right now with Tim Minear is brutal, not only are they bringing him back but now he intends to establish a love triangle? and not only that but it's giving wings to think that BuckTommy, a couple with zero chemistry, is going to return, which would be a giant hypocrisy considering what happened in 8x11, why do this if they already had in their hands to end Buddie definitively? I only have one explanation, that it is Tommy who triggers Buddie canon, isn't there a rumor that says that he is the one who calls Eddie? If BT returns we will be facing the biggest queerbaiting in universal history, using Buddie so that in the end it is BT, the white couple composed of a normal guy and a guy with a racist and homophobic past, and not the really interesting one, which is biracial or multiracial, white and Latino, a Latino, Eddie Diaz, who represents values that Tommy will never reach, to name a few, a war veteran decorated with a Silver Star, the 3rd most important medal for valor (Tommy is also veteran but he doesn't have a Silver Star), also a single father of a lovely teenager with special needs.
Tim Minear is covering himself in glory shit, we complained about others but he is the worst, if the series is too big for him or he is tired of it he should simply leave and leave his place to another showrunner who has good ideas and knows how to develop the plots correctly, he should go to Nashville to see how long the series lasts, and I'm sorry because I love Chris O'Donnell, or rather how long will 911 last if Bobby is really dead? We will see how the audiences have been, on IMDb the score of the episode is one of those that does a lot of damage, right now (04/18/2025 8:40 PM CEST) it is 3.9 / 10.
I have so many things left to say, but I can't think anymore right now, and this post is already too long.

English post
AVISO: CONTIENE SPOILERS

The Power of a Scene
CON SPOILERS / WITH SPOILERS
🇬🇧 I really enjoyed this article because it analyzes the scene of Eddie and Buck's farewell in a different way.
A friend and I were discussing this very scene over coffee this afternoon, she's also a fan of 911, especially Bobby, but it's also Buddie, the camera shots, all the angles, the speed of the sequences in that hug, when Eddie walks away and looks back smiling, his face reflected in the car's wing mirror.
With that simple and powerful scene, they're sending us a huge message, and it's none other than that Buck is definitely in love with Eddie, who goes from joy knowing that Eddie is going to be reunited with Chris, to sadness seeing that the person he loves is moving away from him, but he knows Eddie will come back, which is why he stayed in his house, which has been a see you soon.
We still have Eddie, and that part of his story will be related to his stay in El Paso. And you know what? I would like Chris to be the one to open his eyes. I would also like that when Eddie decides to go back to Los Angeles that there are no surprises but that the surprise is that Buck traveled to El Paso, making a road trip to Los Angeles, which would be a different and very interesting episode.

Eddie and his traumas
WITH SPOILERS
Long text so grab a coffee, hot chocolate, a soft drink ...
Post en Español
Leaving Buddie aside for a bit and after Ryan Guzmán's interview in The Wrap, what I'm afraid of is Eddie's mother because I think she's the main person responsible for all his mental problems. Sometimes we blame his father, but I'm increasingly convinced it's his mother. Yes, his father put absurd ideas in his head about being an adult when he should still be a child, but I think Eddie's indoctrination doesn't come from him but from Helena. Ramón is the typical man who sees through his wife's eyes and is incapable of expressing his own opinions.
I think that when Eddie decided to move back to El Paso he wasn't fully aware that it would be a victory for his mother because after all she is using Christopher to manipulate her son's life once again, Texas will also bring collateral damage like having to face many traumas of his life like his upbringing in a Catholic environment, we know that Eddie at some point may have become, I'm not going to say an atheist but less of a believer, his mother will attack him again making it clear that he’s a bad father, that he should grow up once and for all, that maybe he should find a mother for Chris, and here his aunt Pepa also behaved with him in a very manipulative way, when Eddie gave his son a free environment, surrounded by people who care about him, in short, she provided Chris with an environment in which to flourish, the thing is that he’s surrounded by many people who want to decide how his own life should be and even Chris's, which I hope realizes that his grandparents are not perfect but the opposite.
One of Eddie's biggest problems I think will be his sexuality, deep down he knows he's not completely straight because if he didn't have doubts he wouldn't need to express it out loud, then there's when Tía Pepa set him up with the daughter of a friend, Eddie said she felt like he has to perfoming, neither did any relationship work out, not even with Shannon, because she’s sometimes considered the bad guy but I don't blame her for running away, she didn't have the support of her husband and her in-laws hated her, it didn't work out with Ana to the point of having panic attacks, not even with Marisol and finding out that she was a nun already created doubts in him, Kim and his emotional affair only showed that he never got over Shannon's death, or maybe that Shannon had asked him for a divorce before she died. Eddie must have repressed so many things that now he's at a point where he's repressed everything, maybe something happened in his adolescence and he convinced himself due to the pressure from his environment that a man should be with a woman, get married and have children. I don't think Eddie is homosexual, I'm more inclined to believe he's bisexual or demisexual, a person who needs a very strong emotional connection with their partner to maintain a romantic relationship, and he has all of this with Buck.
Buck and Eddie have been acting like a couple for years, but without sex. Buck has also been a father figure to Chris, and he really wants that child. For me, the key to the relationship between Eddie and Buck is when Eddie confesses that he put him in his will as Chris's guardian if something happens to him, and telling him that he has decided to do this because he’s a person who will fight to the maximum for his son. That is an indication that Eddie does not want custody of Chris to go to his parents, and I’m asking myself of the reason why it would not go to his sisters either. That relationship has evolved before our eyes for many years, and right now it has reached a point where the only possible solution to advance the story is for Buck and Eddie to become a couple, for Buddie to be canon.
There's also the issue of queerbaiting, and with this I think I'm done for now. That term has been used to attract people by promising a LGBT relationship only for it to come up in smoke. I think 911 is at a point right now—and I read this a while ago and I'm agree with everything—where Buddie is currently what is giving 911 the most publicity. because it’s the only open storyline they have right now, a storyline that's been going on for years. In recent months, there have been many interviews with Ryan Guzmán and Oliver Stark, even Tim Minear, in which Buddie comes up. Obviously, they can't talk about it because they're not allowed to. They've never denied anything. And using Buddie as queerbait right now could bring bad press to the show, and that could lead to a decrease in viewers and even sponsors, in the farewell scene we saw: U Haul, GMC Denali Sierra (Eddie’s truck) and Nissan Frontier (Buck’s new truck) . These are my conclusions because I really have no idea how this industry works. To be continued, I'm convinced.

Eddie y sus traumas
Eddie and his traumas
CON SPOILERS / WITH SPOILERS
🇬🇧 Long text, grab a coffee, hot chocolate, a soft drink... I usually write posts in Spanish and try to write them in English, which obviously isn't perfect and I have mistakes. Since this post is long, I've decided to put it separately.
Post in English

About AO3 Fanfiction
🇬🇧 Please, AO3 fanfiction writers, could you please stop changing the dates of your older fics to make them appear new? I just read one that looked vaguely familiar until I looked at the date and it was published several years ago, now they changed the date to make it look new. This is a common occurrence on AO3 lately, some authors even get angry and put the fic on Anonymous. AO3 should take action against this.
