I headcanon Caillou is an exception from most Air Nomads beliefs.

Air Nomads hate him more than any other nation.

Ozai of all people would be telling Aang to chill the fuck out and to not harm the darn boy.

To others, Caillou is an annoying brat who needs a spanking. To Air Nomads, however, Caillou is a fusion of Vaatu and Satan and all things bad, they can forgive Sozin, but they can't forgive Caillou.

Even the mention of his name would send one in a fit.

It's rumoured if you say 'Caillou' three times in a row in an Air Temple, without anything other words in between, an Air Avatar would go in the Avatar state.

I'm not super excited for the httyd live action. And it's not because of the Astrid casting it's the "this franchise is already perfect" thing. Like how the Last Airbender cannot be properly adapted (fight me, the Netflix show sucked and the writing/directing is going to butcher my girl Toph's characterization in S2 I just know it).

HOWEVER.

If Dreamworks wanted to adapt one of their works with live action, I would pay hand over fist to see Will Ferrell dressed up in a bald cap, poorly applied blue face paint, standing next to student-film level set pieces and ray guns made out of card board. No CGI. Just vibes. The cheaper the better.

wait can we talk about fake vander for a second? like why did he pretend to be drunk and sleepy during that moment in the fountain? i don't think it was simply bc he wanted to get to know vi in the 'enforcer' sense of it--it seemed to be far more calculated and murky than that. im v invested in his backstory.

They say that narcissists need attention like a fire needs oxygen. Well, here's a firefox extention that "Detrumpifies" your page for you and gives him less oxygen at least while you're looking.

It replaces his name with different levels of insults, replaces his image with kittens/puppies/or other presidents instead. They also have a "bard mode" which enables Shakespearean insults.

Here are some screenshots of it working for me just now:

It's not perfect, especially on pages with live code but it's already making me feel better.

One of my favorite scenes in 500 Days of Summer is when she tells Joseph Gordon Levitt that she loves The Smiths. JGL is so flabbergasted that she likes HIS kind of music, his super special 80s indie rock music that only HE is smart enough to still like and listen to, that he immediately rethinks of her as a romantic prospect.

But to put that into context, that would be like someone in 2024 casually saying, "Wow, I like Radiohead too!" It's so "but they can't have my brand...I have special eyes...MY BRAND!" of him and it's hilarious. Like dude, you're grasping at the least common denominator here (which is obvi the point.)

Hey, hey, look at me...if you have already voted, talked to people around you about their voting, donated what you can/if you can, then you are 100% okay to take a breather this Tuesday and focus on a hobby, watching a movie marathon, making cookies, cooking a scrumptious meal for yourself, or connecting with nature.

This election is going to be a knockout drag out news cycle of highs and lows for not only November 5th, but most likely a few days after. You are not betraying the cause if you need to step back and cool off while the votes are tallied. The result will be there whether you agonize over it or not.

So if you feel you've done all you can (and I don't mean that facetiously) you are allowed to keep yourself off of social media and any other news outlet until we have our answer.
