Summary:

When Viktor makes the bold decision to partner with Jayce for their final year at University, he would never have imagined all the ways that Jayce would linger on his mind. When the mid-year rolls around, Viktors health takes a turn for the worse. When he leaves his apartment less and less, Jayce shows up more and more, and Viktor has to come to terms with two things. One, his health may never be the same again. And Two, falling in love is inevitable when the symptom is Jayce Talis.

Snippet: Chapter 1: The Pitch

Something about the way the next student spoke had Viktor lifting his gaze away from his notepad. A loud, confident voice that swept smoothly across the room. His tone bled passion into his every word. His movements were effortless and precise as he drew attention to notations, diagrams and sketches on the board. His eyes were ablaze with excitement and his smile never wavered. For the first time today, Viktor spent more time paying attention to the student and the presentation than just the sound of a voice and his notebook. For the first time today, Viktor was intrigued.

Fanfic: University AU where Viktor (mathematics major) helps Jayce (engineering major) research and conduct a project for their final year of study. The fic is from Viktors POV and follows him as his health begins to decline and how he deals with being diagnosed with a Chronic Illness. It follows his change in behaviour and lifestyle the more he gets sick. When he thinks he's hit rock bottom, who - lo and behold - is the one to pull him back into the sun and give him a reason to fight and live and loooove?

That's right. Jayce Fucking Talis.

In one movement, he sweeps Viktors shorts and briefs down to his thighs. Viktor gasps into his hair, but Jayce is wrapping his hand around him before he has time to react. Jayce salivates at the feeling of him. At the thought of having more of him. Greed splits his vision and his hand begins to move.

Arcane - Jayvik

Jayce had to stop his head from lulling back when Viktor suddenly dragged his hand slowly down his chest.

Reaching away from Viktors cheek, he snatches his hand away. Viktor simply raises his gaze back to Jayce’s, tilting his head slightly in contemplation. A strain of frustration and panic bloom under Jayce’s ribs. Why won’t he answer his questions? Why is he suddenly touching him? Why can’t his heart stop racing?

As Viktor continues to study him with a concerning amount of curiosity, Jayce scans him over. Sitting between his legs, Viktor is laid out for him to see. One leg more bony than the other. The beginning of a slight dip at his hips near the lining of his shorts. Another beauty mark between his ribs on the left side of his chest. Collar bones almost more striking than his cheeks. His lips. Thin and pink and parted as he inhales slow breaths between them. What Jayce would give to breathe his air. To share a breath between them.
