Roping A Dwayne Robertson imagine

Y/N’s POV

Me and my team the Ducks just found out that we are going to be competing in the junior goodwill games and that we would be getting five new teammates. “Okay we’re here” said my mom cheerfully. I didn’t go with the rest of the Ducks because I had to get a new hockey stick since my old one cracked. I walked into the locker room and was greeted by my best friend Connie “So I heard that there are suppose to be some cute guys joining the ducks” “Oh yeah that’s why I’m excited” I said laughing. We finished getting ready and went out to the ice with the rest of the Ducks. I looked at the five new players standing in front of us and my eyes were caught by a boy wearing a black cowboy hat. I looked when I heard Connie say “OOO looks like someones got a crush” she said poking me “Shut up” I said blushing. Then Mr.Tibbles started to speak “This is Dwayne Robertson the best puck handler I’ve ever seen” “You mean for his age” asked coach “No” answered Mr.Tibbles very bluntly. 

*Time skip*

“We’re going to do a team building exercise” said Coach. He then proceeded to tie us all together. I then felt someones hands on my butt “Someone better watch their hands I said loudly. “Sorry” said a voice behind me only to realize it was Dewayne I looked back and saw him blushing and I blushed to. It took a while but we eventually we learned to work together. Coach then said “Dewayne round me up some stray cattle” and throw him a lasso. Dewayne let out a “Ye-haw” He got Averman first. It was then between me and Luis. Luis was about to get caught so he push me in front of him. Dewayne caught me I turned my head and glared at Luis. I turned my head to find my self nose to nose with Dewayne. “Well you the prettiest cow I’ve ever seen” I giggled at his statement “Um what I meant to say was would you want to go on a date with me?” “I’d love to” then Dewayne pulled me closer and kissed me. We heard the whole team saying “I knew it” or “You go cowboy” and got an “Ewww” from Goldberge. Maybe new teammates aren’t so bad.

The freight woke up the other guys and it was on the tip of my tongue to tell them about the deer. But I didn’t. That was the one thing I kept to myself. I’ve never spoken or written about it until just now Stand by Me (1986)
