Best 2017 Truck in Australia
MOST POPULAR TRUCKS IN AUSTRALIA IN 2017
Trucks play a huge role in the economic growth of a country as they are used to most especially transport goods from their source to the market and also transport raw materials for processing in industries. Trucks are also used to distribute imported goods from the port to various parts of the country. Trucks also fill in the gap that the railway system is not able to fill. For sure, trucks do play a huge role in the economy of a country and no country would survive without trucks. But the article is not aimed at showing the significance of trucks but rather analyse the most popular trucks prime movers in Australia based on their sales and uses. Trucks can be divided into three categories: heavy-duty trucks, medium-duty trucks and light duty trucks.
The heavy-duty trucks are used to carry super heavy goods. The most dominating company in the production of this type of truck semi prime movers is the Kenworth company. As of 2017, the company had sold over 1,400 units. The company also enjoys an estimated 21% of the heavy duty semi truck prime movers. Volvo is the second company of trucks in this category. The enterprise had made sales of up to 1100 units with an estimated 16% market share. The 3rd leading firm in this category is the Isuzu company having sold over 900 units. The company enjoys a 13.8% market share in this category.
As for the medium-duty trucks, as the name suggests they have a limit to the number of tonnes they can carry. They can’t handle as many goods as the heavy duty trucks. In this category, the leading company in the manufacture of trucks semi prime movers is the Isuzu company. The syndicate enjoys approximately 43% of the market. It has also sold over 2200 units. The second establishment in this group is the Hino company. The firm has sold close to 1500 units and boasts up to 30% market value. The Hino company is followed by the Fuso trucks which have sold over 700 units and holds 15% of the market share.
Isuzu is still the leader in the light-duty trucks semi prime mover production. Isuzu has sold close to an amazing 3000 units with a market share of 38%. Isuzu is then followed by the Fuso group which has over 20% of the market share. The Fuso corporation has also sold close to 1600 units. The third brand is the Hino brand which has sold slightly over 1500 units and has about 19% of the market share.
When all the three categories are combined, Isuzu emerges to be the track powerhouse in Australia. This has been brought about by their specifications which are tailored to meet the Australian market needs and requirements. The brand's success has also been brought about by the popularity of the light and medium truck semi prime movers.

The 7 Most Iconic Honda Motorcycles of All Time
Honda make reliable and affordable cars and they also have a large motorcycle following with fans swearing by their motorcycles. Honda make everything from scooters to roadsters to racers with some good results in between. Honda was founded in the late 1940s by Soichiro Honda. Soichiro Honda always had a passion for engineering, and this became evident by the success of his motorcycles in the 1960s and by competing head-to-head against the world’s best on racetracks. Today, Honda is a juggernaut, offering class-leading machines in most every category and we are going to take a look at the most iconic Honda motorcycles that have graced the earth.
(1) Super Cub - This little bombshell starts off our list for a good reason, she might not be the biggest or the strongest, but she is the best-selling in history. The 55-year-old model has a success recipe like no other and is currently boasting over 60 million units sold. The Super Cub has been compared to the Ford Model T, Volkswagen Beetle and the Jeep as an icon of 20th century industry and transport. “And though she be but little, she is fierce.”
HONDA SUPER CUB
(2) Superhawk - Honda truly pushed the boundaries with this rider and rivalled the best of its time. It used cutting-edge technology that was much lighter and affordable to manufacture and all-in-all created a new generation of motorcycle. Of course it helped that Robert Pirsig chose it as his vehicle when he embarked on his philosophical journey.
HONDA SUPERHAWK
(3) Gold Wing - A true statement in travelling comfort, the Gold Wing has developed a lot over the years but has always offered its rider a distinction from the other roadies. Lately it can be seen sporting the latest technology to assist you on your journey.
HONDA GOLDWING
(4) CB750 - Many riders consider this model the genesis of superbikes. This amazing piece of art was the result of Honda’s obsession with breaking into the American market and, boy, did it work. There is no shortage of power on this beauty!
HONDA CB750
(5) The Hurricane (CBR600F) - Another market-shifting technology introduced by Honda: A sport bike encased in plastic. The poor man’s racer, as it was dubbed, made it possible for Joe Everyman to afford a fast bike. Once again Honda keeps improving on this model’s technology.
HONDA HURRICANE
(6) Africa Twin - I know what you’re thinking: Dakar. And you are thinking like a true biker now because the Africa Twin was built for exactly that purpose. Usually, a rider hopes the bike will not crumble under the pressure the rider puts it through, and with the Africa Twin - she's as tough as nails!
HONDA AFRICA TWIN
(7) Rune - Every manufacturer has to have one crazy project and the Rune is that project for Honda. It’s very large and most definitely in charge. It worked out well as they sold three times as much as they had planned on. If ever a motorcycle were worthy of the epithet “memorable” then it is the Honda Rune. This remarkable machine sits low to the ground and is over 2m long... truely a memorable motorcycle.

Qualities of a Good Driving Instructor Driver Trainer
While it is easy to attain the qualification to become a driving instructor it is, sadly, rare to find an excellent driving instructor. To be a good teacher, you need to posses some good personal skills and here is a list of those qualities that can take you from being an average driver trainer to an excellent driver trainer.
LEARNERS - It has always been a characteristic of a good teacher that they are also good learner and actively seek new skills and knowledge. Good teachers keep learning more every day and get better at what they are doing.
INITIATIVE - Good teachers take initiative! They don't follow a book of procedures, but rather spot teachable moments and act. They also spot problems before they unfold and prevent them by themselves and do not need any guidance. They also guid their students to show initiative also, rather than insist that the students following their instructions and not questions - rather that guide the students to be curious and to take responsibility for their own actions and choices.
FUN - A good driving instructor makes sure that every student has fun while learning. This is done by new and different ways of teaching and learning that grab a student's attention. The aim should always be to have fun and enjoy the learning experience. Fun learning is the best learning.
ADAPTABLE - Excellent teachers make learning fun and derive different methods of delivering instructions and present many different learning opportunities. 3 Tips To Pass Your Driving Test On Your First Try - Without Stress Or Anxiety!
Dear Friend,
At first glance your driver’s test can seem daunting. With so many variables to keep in mind…your driving test might seem scary. With our professional guidance, driving won’t have to be scary ever again.
Here are 3 tips that’ll get you licensed and on the road as quickly and easily as possible.
1) Use Your Eyes And Drive Defensively
To pass your driving test, you’ll have to prove to your instructor that you’re safe behind the wheel. The main factor behind staying safe on the road is to always look where you’re going.
The reason why texting and driving is so dangerous is because you can’t see the road. When you take your eyes off the road, you’re playing with your life. Vision is something that your instructor is trained to look at during your driving test.
Without your eyes on the road, you’ll stand no chance of passing your driving test. Avoid fidgeting with the radio, your phone or anything else that will distract your eyes.
Remember: When your eyes are on the road, you’re safe. When you’re driving safe, you’re that much closer to passing your driving test.
Everyone wins when you pay close attention to the road.
2) Drive Slowly: Pass Your Driving Test & Save Your Life At The Same Time!
Here’s one of the main reasons why people get into deadly car accidents: Speed.
Speed is a huge factor for deadly accidents on the road today. Driving is no joke; if you drive too fast you’re putting lives on the line. Driving too fast will also, automatically disqualify you from passing your driving test.
Here Are The Benefits Of Driving Slowly:
• You’re far more likely to pass your driving exam
• You’re far less likely to die in a car accident in the future
• You’ll save money by avoiding speeding tickets
• You’ll save money on gas
And many, many more!
Driving slow will impress your driving instructor and make it very likely that you’ll pass your driving test!
3) Practice Your “Stick Points” Before Your Driving Test
As drivers, we all have certain stick points we could work on. Before your driving test, make a list of all the things you could struggle with.
It’s normal to feel a little nervous during your driving test. Any problems you might have with driving could become highlighted under pressure. Remember to relax and focus on driving properly.
Here’s an example: Many people who’ve already passed their driving test cant parallel park properly.
Your stick point could be parking, reversing or even switching lanes. Whatever it may be, drill it before your driving test.
If you’ve ever trained in sports I’m sure you’re familiar with the famous saying:
“Drillers are killers”
This also applies to driving, not just sports!
Repetitions of safe driving habits will lead you to massive success on the road. Your driving instructor will definitely notice your practice as well.
Follow These 3 Simple Steps, And You’ll Do Excellent In Your Upcoming Driving Test
Make no mistake about it; despite all the glamorous advertising…driving is dangerous. If you’re a young person reading this message right now, understand that driving could be deadly.
According to Wikipedia, 1,225 people in Australia died last year while driving. Many of those deaths were unfortunately, from young people. As long as you always look where you’re going and drive slowly…you’ll be going great!
Passing your driving test with flying colours will be the first step towards safe driving for life.
Until Next Time,

From all over the world, the dependence of equipment manufacturers is on the experience of Eaton Fuller, when the matter is related to transmissions that provide higher efficiency, reliability, drivability, and safety of the vehicle.
Driving a truck is really challenging due to its weight and size, it becomes more difficult due to road mainly designed for small cars and vehicles. It might needs quick shifting up or downshifting to cope with the dynamic road conditions.
A range of characteristics is shown by the Road ranger Gearbox that differentiates it from the previous crash box design that is present in old trucks.

Road Trains- How to Drive an B-Double MC Truck
They are long, heavy and rarely spotted in town. No - we’re not referring to your mother-in-law, or the grade 10 teacher that ran away with your buddy’s sister. We’re talking those vehicles that carry livestock, mineral ore, fuel and general freight and are only allowed on certain roads in Australia. We’re referring to road trains. Extra long, super heavy trucks.
Road trains are trucks with several trailers (2/3 or more) used to lug heavy loads around remote and rural areas of Australia. They are only allowed on certain roads away from large towns and centres or on certain approaches to seaside ports. They are a cost effective way to get cargo to remote areas. Some places are so remote; they’re completely reliant on the weekly or monthly road train to shoot through their town for survival.
In the Outback, they are the kings of the road.
What makes them unique is the doubles (two trailers), triples (3 trailers) and AB-quads (B doubles with 2 additional trailers behind) have their trailers connected by converter dollies. This makes them super extra long (up to 53.5m metres) and super heavy (up to 200 tonnes) vehicles, seen only on lonely roads in certain states. Each state has their own rules to regulate road trains; many don’t allow them at all.
Who drives them?
Now, these trucks require special drivers to do the job. These are guys (and gals) who enjoy driving- are able to do so for long periods at a time and don’t mind a ‘different’ lifestyle. They often have to spend lots of time away from family and need to be able to accept that loneliness is a part of the job.
Becoming a road train driver is challenging, though on paper it seems simple enough; if you’re older than 20 years and you’ve been driving for a year, you only need to pass the TAFE course, obtain the MC license and wing the fatigue management certificate, right? Wrong!
“Unfortunately, companies only employ road train drivers with experience.
Driving these monsters requires experience, lots of experience”
How do you do it?
A road train driver in Australia is generally a truckie who has been a truckie for a while. They started driving smaller trucks and progressed to larger trucks as their experience grew. It takes a couple of years and a little perseverance before a company will pay you good money and trust you with 200 tonnes of their precious cargo. It makes sense, I guess.
If your aim is to become a road train driver in Australia:
Have some knowledge of fixing trucks
Be a very responsible person
•Gain lots of experience
•Enjoy driving.
Simple really!
If you rarely want to see your mother-in-law, become a road train driver.

A Closer Look at the Motorcycles from Sons of Anarchy
Sons of Anarchy was (and is still) a very popular show, and there is no doubt that it’s the characters and the gripping storyline that are the reason for that. However, anyone who has seen Sons of Anarchy would know that there is something else that catches the viewers’ attention; and that is their extensive gallery of motorbikes.
SONS OF ANARCHY FEATURES SOME AMAZING HARLEY DAVIDSONS
What better way is there to adorn a group of badass outlaws than with heavy slabs of fuel guzzling machinery? These are the horses of today’s cowboys and the TV series has enough variety for the fans to marvel at whenever the crew is too busy beefing with rivals.
SONS OF ANARCHY
So, let’s start with a general overview of the bikes in the show. Most of the bikes we get to see are the property of SAMCRO. They take pride in their bikes. The interesting thing is that most of them ride Harley Davidson Dyna Wideglides and despite this there is still variety. It is possible that the show did this in order to show that motorbikes aren’t just a means of travelling distance but can also be a canvas for bikers to paint their personalities.
HARLEY DAVIDSON WITH AN AIR-COOLED, TWIN CAM 103 VALVE PUSHROD ENGINE - SONS OF ANARCHY
The bikes in the movie also have a uniform style. They are different from a lot of the modern bikes today (like dual sport bikes) which have all the machinery covered up. With the Harleys, the metal is showed off – just like in the early day’s motorcycles.
SOA HARLEY DAVIDSON
Jax is probably the most important character of the show and his ride goes to show for it. He rides a 2003 Harley Davidson Super Glide Sport. It has a four stroke V-twin engine with a 1449 displacement and a 95.3 ×101.6mm bore/stroke ratio. The bikes fuel capacity is 4.9 gallons and it has a torque of 78.2 ft lbs. It certainly looks classic with its powder coated black body as well as his custom T-bars and his unmistakeable logo of the reaper he has displayed on his fuel tank. His bike looks comfortable – at least it Jax looks comfortable riding it. Charlie Hunnam (the person who plays Jax) said he feels at home when riding a bike because he has been riding since he was 11.
2003 HARLEY DAVIDSON SUPER GLIDE SPORT - SONS OF ANARCHY
Then there’s a contrast with Piney’s bike, which proves that you’ve got to respect the elders. He isn’t prepared to leave his ride – despite his health. He rides a bike with an air-cooled, twin cam 103 valve pushrod engine which also features overhead valves with hydraulic, self-adjusting lifters - with two valves per cylinder. It has a torque of 101 ft lbs and a 6 gallon fuel capacity. This one is rather unique since it is a trike and has been modified to be able to hold an oxygen tank between the wheels at the bike. His logo is a reaper with an oxygen tank and mask.
PINEY'S AIR-COOLED, TWIN CAM 103 VALVE PUSHROD ENGINE - SONS OF ANARCHY
Clay’s bike is a 2008 Harley Davidson Dyna Super Glide with a Twin Cam 96 Pushrod V-twin engine. The bike's torque is 92 ft lbs and its bore/stroke ratio 95.25 x 111.25mm. With 4.8 gallons of fuel the bike has been customised, down to the reaper logo with the Sons of Anarchy, California tag.

7 Common Misconceptions about Riding a Motorcycle
Legends and myths have been surrounding groups of individuals who often misunderstood things and activity choices. Motorcycle riding probably has a fair share of some negative mythology over the years. The following are 7 common misconceptions about motorcycle riding that will surely surprise many individuals and might even lead them in shock:
1. Motorcycle Riders are Low-class Troublemakers with Stealing Intentions - This is completely a myth. Individuals riding a motorcycle can be ordinary men and women who have the same concerns and responsibilities that you do. There might be some shift in people’s perception about motorcyclists probably because of media exposure featuring thieves and robbers doing illegal activities and escaping using their motorcycles. Keep in mind that there are individuals who ride motorcycles for mobility and for plain pleasure.
2. Motorcycle Riding are Ultimately Dangerous - Make no mistakes. Though motorcycle riding tends to be a risky activity it does not necessarily mean that it is ultimately dangerous at all times. If motorcycles are properly driven with the right safety measures and preparations as well as recognition of high-risk and inherent hazards, motorcycling can be safe for anyone who knows how to drive.
3. You need to be Strong and Big to Ride a Motorcycle - This is another myth about motorcycle riding that many individuals believe on. You do not really need to be strong and big to ride a motorcycle. In order to ride securely and safely, you will need mental strength. However, you need to at least have enough physical strength to ride a motorcycle.
4. Motorcycles are said to be Unreliable and Messy Machines - Some individuals dislike the idea of motorcycle riding because they believed that motorcycles are unreliable and messy machines. Again, this is also a misconception. Motorcycles can be considered as valuable assets.
5. Race Tires Can Make You and Your Motorcycle Faster On the Road - This is also a myth about motorcycle riding. Keep in mind that race tires are different from the road tires. They got different properties and compounds and are specially designed to work perfectly when hot to create grip.
6. Wearing Helmet is More Risky than Not Wearing One - This motorcycle riding myth came about for the reasons that some motorcycle riders are annoyed when told by authorities to wear helmet and comply with the helmet laws all the time. Some individuals believe that wearing helmet is more risky than not wearing one because this only obscure the rider’s vision and blocking sounds when driving. This is completely another misconception. Statistics and extensive testing proves that wearing helmet is a great means to ensure the driver’s safety. Helmets are imperative safety piece that every motorcycle rider should have and should use.
7. Motorcycle Riding will Eventually Hurt or Kill You - This is definitely not true. Motorcycles are created to give you aid in your mobility and not to cause your death. Though some individuals get hurt or killed while riding a motorcycle, it does not necessarily mean that same scenario will also happen to all those who will ride a motorcycle.

What is Tesla Semi Truck and what are its Effects in the Trucking Business
Tesla semi is Tesla’s an electric truck that was unveiled by Elon Musk, CEO Tesla Motors in November 2017. Tesla Semi Truck is Tesla’s first electric truck to be released by Tesla into the commercial trucking market. This is an electric truck that has a complete ‘autopilot’ system to aid in semi-automatic driving to improve safety and the entire driving experience for long-distance truck drivers.
With this innovation, Tesla claims that operators will save over $100,000 per year in fuel costs as they will have fewer systems to maintain than before. Tesla suggests that the chances of truck breakdown rates will also reduce dramatically.
Tesla Semi Truck is fitted with an electric battery that works like those of other Tesla vehicles powering the truck for a massive distance of between 300 and 500 miles between recharges. Due to the large size of the truck’s battery, it will be able to travel miles carrying luggage with minimal human supervision. The battery charges the truck up to 80% charge in 30 minutes. This way, Tesla makes sure that the battery charges to a substantial charge capacity within a 30-minutes stopover.
A few changes are expected in the trucking business with the introduction of the Tesla Semi Truck into the market. Although none of the effects is present up to now. Tesla Semi Truck is expected to be a game changer in the trucking business and the entire transport industry. The most obvious and beneficial effect will be the reduced costs for the trucks operators as they will have fewer operational costs than they currently do with the present trucks. On the other hand, drivers will lose jobs since the autonomous trucks require less human labor than the present trucks. Eventually, truck driving will lose its position as the most lucrative and easy to find job in the transport industry.

Riding your own bike - Grant Jordan
I was fortunate enough to get a leave pass to ride to Phillip Island for the Moto GP last year. When leaving from the Hunter Valley all the riding is good riding, with very little time spent on the long straight highways. As we started to enter the Snowy mountain passes the motorcycle traffic increased, and inevitably we found ourselves overtaking, being overtaken, or increasing the size of the riding groups. When this was happening through the windy sections of road I couldn’t help but think of a phrase I heard when I first started riding on the road: "Ride your own bike". This does not refer to lending or borrowing bikes, but the attitude you take and decisions you make while in group riding scenarios. When following another rider or having riders follow you there is always the possibility of you ignoring/forgetting basic systems of control and making dangerous errors. You can find yourself being either pushed or pulled into poor tip-in points, or selecting a speed and gear that you are not comfortable with. You must remember to say in your head, “Ride your own bike”. Let’s take the example of following a rider into a series of corners, and this rider is a more competent rider and a little more relaxed with speed limits than yourself. More than likely you will be target fixating on his bike, looking for brake lights, choosing your speed by maintaining a gap. All of this takes your mind away from assessing the oncoming bend for yourself, judging your first tip in point, scanning road surface conditions and constantly reassessing road position, speed and potential hazards. When you notice them pull away a bit you increase your straight line speed to catch up the gap. For the next corner you now have to brake harder than before which can unsettle suspension, tyres and your mind. You know he’s faster than you so you think to tip in when he does… or so you think. More often than not you've tipped in too early. Add this to your increased speed and unsettled bike you can quickly find yourself running wide into leaf litter, barriers or oncoming traffic. If you are lucky, you come away safely. But so often people's luck will run out. The best fix to avoid the scenario above is to swallow the pride, back off or pull over, and get to riding with clear road ahead and no headlights in the rear vision mirrors. With the time and space to "Ride your own bike" you will again focus on your safe systems of control and improve your chances of arriving safely. With more time in the saddle you may find yourself "that" rider that people are trying to keep up with, but until then, focus on the important bits like identifying lines, tip in points etc. Remember that even by doing everything right you can have wildlife and oncoming traffic cause an accident. Cars with trailers, trucks and other motorcyclists are all serial offenders crossing lines and removing your safety margin, don’t give away even more space by Riding Someone Else’s Bike.

How to Give Your Motorcycle a Basic Service with These Safety Checks
Motorcycle services can be expensive - so why not do it yourself? Motorcycle services always includes the oil change, checking spark plugs and changing the oil filter. Actually, if you already know how to do some of these things, then you can give your motorcycle basic service that it needs. Here are instructions on how to give your motorcycle basic service.
OIL - Always check the oil. An oil change and replace the oil filter will help it to run smoothly and give it a better performance.
TYRES - Look at the air pressure in your tyres to see if they are correct, also always look over the tyre tread depth to see if you need new tyres.
LIGHTS and LAMPS - Obviously, you need to turn on your lights and also see if signals are working. Driving a motorcycle with a broken light can be very dangerous.
BRAKES - In order to see if the brakes are worn down or not, you must look at the brake pads. If you cannot see them very well, there is a good chance they need to be replaced. Also, make sure that any bolts and callipers are secure. If anything does look loose or out of place, it is best to take it to a garage for motorcycle repair.
LUBE - By making sure the chain is lubricated, if it is, the ride will be smoother.
BATTERY - By charging your motorcycle battery, you are ensuring that you won’t be stranded out somewhere on the road. It is also advised to check that all cables are in proper place.
FUEL - This is an obvious service practice for many, but if you are in the hurry to take out the bike for a ride, you’ll be in for a big surprise. It might go for a few blocks, but the gas will quickly run out. Go fill up before you take it out on an adventure.

Truck Tyres - When Should I Replace my Tyres
Any Truck tyre over five years old must be tested frequently by a tyre expert. In fact some vehicle manufacturers state in the Owner’s Manual that tyres over a certain age should be replaced regardless of the amount of tread remaining.
Flats Spots
As a tyre moves along the road, it will go from an unpacked state to a loaded state about 500 times a kilometre (or 8 times a second) when driving at 60km/h. These load/unload cycle causes swerve in the tyre body which creates interior resistance and heat in the tyre. When the vehicle sparkled, the tyre gets warm.
Flat spotting happens when the part of the warm tread in contact with the ground (which is flat) “sets” to adopt the shape of the ground. As the tyre “warms-up” and it is next driven, the tread bend (or flat spot) is “ironed-out” and the shaking decreases and vanishes.
Irregular Wear Tyres
Any of below conditions will mean that your tyres are not sitting on the road properly. This means that one shoulder of the tyre is encumbered more heavily than the other, affecting the heavily loaded side to wear fast.
Low Tyre Pressure
Not putting sufficient air pressure in a tyre means that the tyre will be warped extremely and the shoulders will wear more rapidly than the centre of the tread.
Excessive Tyre Pressure
Too much air pressure in your tyres means that the tyre will be “too hard” and the contact patch of the tread will be shortened to the centre of the tread. This in turn, will mean that the centre of the tread will wear more rapidly that the edges. Either way, not the entire tyre is being used skilfully.
If you don’t fill your tyres to the correct pressure, they won’t be able to carry the load of the vehicle as comfortably. The obvious effect of not putting sufficient air-pressure in your tyres is that will they will show excessive deflection of the Sidewall. At best, this will distort the tyre contact patch and cause Irregular Tyre Wear. At worst, the increased deflection will cause higher tyre temperature build-up of the tyre, leading to component fatigue in the carcass and potentially tyre failure.
How much air should I put in tyres
The answer to this question is always the same – tyres should always be filled to the pressures specified by the Vehicle Tyre Placard. Also, if the vehicle is being driven heavily loaded or at sustained high speeds, then the cold inflation pressure must be increased to compensate for the more severe service. The tyre pressures for both “normal” and high-speed/high-load are specified on the Vehicle Tyre Placard.
Tyre Common Sense
However, as a tyre wears it's important to realise that the tyre's ability to perform in rain and snow will be reduced. With 1.5 mm of remaining tread depth, resistance to hydroplaning in the rain at highway speeds has been significantly reduced, and traction in snow has been almost eliminated.
If rain and wet roads are a concern, you should consider replacing your tires when they reach approximately 1.5mm of remaining tread depth. Since water can't be compressed, you need enough tread depth to allow rain to escape through the tyre's grooves. If the water can't escape fast enough, your vehicle's tires will be forced to hydroplane (float) on top of the water, losing grip of tyre on a road
If snow-covered roads are a concern, you should consider replacing your tyres when they reach approximately 1.5mm of remaining tread depth to maintain good mobility. You need more tread depth in snow because your tyres need to compress the snow in their grooves and release it as they roll. If there isn't sufficient tread depth, the "bites" of snow your tires can take on each revolution will be reduced to "nibbles," and your trucks traction and mobility will be sacrificed. Because tread depth is such an important element for snow traction, winter tires usually start with noticeably deeper tread depths than typical All-Season or summer tires. Some winter tires even have a second series of "wear bars" moulded in their tread pattern indicating approximately 1.5mm remaining tread depth to warn you when your tyres no longer meet the desired tread depth.
Flat tyre repairs: Point of no return
Whether it occurs during a tyre's first mile of use or after thousands of miles of driving, a single cut or puncture can make it necessary to replace a damaged tire that can't be repaired.
The first consideration of evaluating if a tire can be repaired is based on how quickly the driver recognises they have a problem and how promptly they respond to it.
Because tyres require appropriate inflation pressure to carry the load of the heavy trucks, standard tyres should never, ever be driven while low on air or flat (while run-flat tyres offer extended mobility in the event of complete air loss, even they may not be suitable to return to service after being driven on while flat).
The indicating external sign of a tyre that has been driven on while flat or very low on pressure is circumferential scuffing on the tire's inboard and outboard sidewalls, but external inspection is not enough. Any repairs without removing the damaged tyre from the wheel are improper because inspecting the inside of the tyre for hidden damage greatly reduces the risk of returning a weakened tire to service. Without dismounting the tire, any hidden damage would likely be missed.
The second consideration when evaluating if a tyre can be repaired is to confirm the size, type and location of the damage.

(3) Gold Wing - A true statement in travelling comfort, the Gold Wing has developed a lot over the years but has always offered its rider a distinction from the other roadies. Lately it can be seen sporting the latest technology to assist you on your journey.
(4) CB750 - Many riders consider this model the genesis of superbikes. This amazing piece of art was the result of Honda’s obsession with breaking into the American market and, boy, did it work. There is no shortage of power on this beauty!
