Day 12: Monitoring one's career development
Jamilah R. Basher
Today’s lesson is all about “Monitoring One’s Career Development”. It addresses your goals, motivation, aspiration, as well as your personality, the way you interact with other people, and your outlook on life. On this topic, I learned many things that I would apply to my college years.
To this day, I’m still confused and I can’t help but feel pressured because I have little time left to think and decide on my future career. My career goal is that even though I am tired, struggling and restless at night because of my work, I am still excited to wake up in the morning with a smile on my face.

Celebrating happiness with your family in this lifetime cannot compare the happiness that you get from other people Cherishing the days with our family as the time passes by for it wouldn’t regress. But, as to proceed in the next chapter of life. And spend a time with them before it's too late.

Day 8: Empowering Psychological Experience
Jamilah R. Basher
In this topic we talk about emotions, how to identify different types of emotion and how to control our emotions. Emotion is a way for us to show our feelings. It is important to us to control our emotions.
As we grow older we have to build emotional/psychological resilience since it is the psychological strength that allows people to cope with the stress. When we experience sadness or happiness, we may sometimes be unable to control these emotions but it is in our part to control and express our feelings. We must improve our emotional vocabulary, gauge the emotions intensity and have an emotional log. In that way, we can deal with different situations in our life and have a healthy lifestyle.

DAY 2: BEING MINDFUL WITH THE MIND
Jamilah R. Basher
On the second day of class, we discuss "being mindful with the mind" being mindful encourages us to relate differently to ourselves and our life experience. If we are mindful, we can pay attention to our mind and make changes over a fairly short period of time.
This topic gives me an idea of how to be mindful of ourselves and things that we need to be aware of. Being mindful is really helpful to us especially to us students maybe some of us today may still be in confusion and we need to think carefully about what really we want in the future. "The new media and technology changing our society"
-Jamilah R. Basher
New media is accessible anytime and anywhere. It is considered a new tool. New media can help us in life, just like gathering information or communicating with our family or friends that they are far from us. The media is constantly being upgraded and improved more than print and broadcast media. If the new media replaces print and broadcast media people can only rely on the internet because they will not read, or watch newspapers, magazines, books, television or radio because people will only rely on various social platforms media to compile information. Unlike with Broadcast and Print media you need to buy a newspaper, magazine, etc. to gather some information or news about what is happening around in our society. Even though the print and broadcast media are disappear they still can be found also on websites or any form of media like YouTube and Facebook that we used to be.
I think five years from now there's a lot of improvement, change, and discovery in the way we communicate with others. For five years, people have been able to receive and send messages or gather information with the help of high technologies. Nowadays, there are more technologies such as a cellphone, laptop, desktop, and devices involved in sharing ideas or information through various social media platforms. But one of the day, the way we interact with othere it will change. The advent of new media will surely inspire the world of information. But despite all that, it still has a long way to go to address the credibility and authenticity of the old-fashioned channels. Half a decade will pass and the completion of social media in traditional media should be remembered.

Each time there is a change in our way of life. In our generation, digital devices are changing how our world works today. By the help of technology has made easier for us to gather information through the use of social media. With the use of a smartphone or computer, we can get some lessons that we can use in our learning to increase our knowledge. By the use of technology has become a big part of our lives like posting the products you want to sell on social media or even posting an education video that has lessons for young people. However, many people use technology in a bad way just like spreading fake information that can ruin a person's life. We must first consider whether the information we have read is relevant before we can pass it on to others.
Nowadays, one of the problems in our world is the spread of fake information. We need to be aware of how to be a literate person to avoid fake information that can spread in our world. It is also important to know that the source of information is reliable. Literacy knowledge is a life skill, we need it for us guaranteed high-quality information that we can use. We need to analyze if what you are reading is real; here are the steps to find out if what you are reading is realistic. First, identify the source of the information if it is credible, and then look for reliable information. Finally, identify the communication by passing on information that has been proven not only informative but sure and true. We must be realistic when it comes to information and news. It takes self-discipline and good practice to apply it anywhere, especially when it comes posting something serious on social media. We should control ourselves in social media, not social media should control us

"Media And Government: A Love-Hate Relationship"
The media plays important role in conveying information to the public. Every hour we get news because of the help of the media. We watch TV, read the newspaper and browse online just to gather information about what is happening around us. But how can we say that what we see and read in the newspaper is true? Can we have assurance especially when it comes to government? Every country needs a leader; the media and government are the most powerful institutions in the world. The media and government can deceive the mind and manipulate the people. Both of these are important in each country because without government who would lead us and lead us to the right path? And without media, how can we able to notified and alerted about what’s happening around us. In some focuses, the media and the government tend to quarrel with each other. Individuals say some detailed news is one-sided, but the government says no. Some writers contradict what the government says. As a result, the government issued speeches at a time when the media was tightening. Without government and life in the media, it will be difficult for us because we will not be able to gather information about what’s happening around us and no one will lead our country.
People have the right to the problems of our country and also the public has the right to express their opinion through the media about current issues in our country. The government makes excuses because they think that the media will damage their reputation that the media are the ones telling the truth and expressing the information we should know. Sometimes we can’t blame the media if they oppose the government because the media just want to tell people the information about what is happening in our country so the governments hate the media because it can damage their reputation because of the statements of media about them. But the media should be credible and not easily swayed by bribes. Once aware that the media should not take sides, should not take sides with any unit of society. The main concern should only be the public and do not allow you to be deceived and we have the rights to know what's happening around us.
