idk much about neopronouns, would you mind explaining why someone might prefer them over other pronouns? I wanna learn more about them from the perspective of someone who actually uses neos so I can understand it better :3

Sure! They differ a lot for other people but the most common reason I’ve found, and my main reason too is that people tend to treat they/them and the word non-binary like a third gender. I’m not a third option - I’m no option, it’s why while I consider myself non binary I have to stress I’m agender - which is why I’m experimenting with different words. Part of what draws me to a specific Neo is how it sounds and feels to use, sometimes the words they are drawn from are significant to me, and how I’ve navigated life, sorta like picking an online pseudonym can be anything from a name you wish you had, to a name/word that’s significant to you, to just something that sounds nice, everyone’s reasons will be different. Another part of my reason is giving myself more control over my identity (and perception) which I’ve always struggled with, I’m able to feel more like a person who exists and not someone the world happens to. Also some older folks I know struggle with they/them and it’s double meaning as plurality making some neos easier for them to understand surprisingly enough.

I don’t use any xenos but a lot of the reasons people use them are similar, their identities are set in these things, they are intrinsic to understanding them or they are therian, otherkin etc. it’s better to ask someone who uses xenos tho

It is rather annoying that if you do use they/them as well (as I do because I still like them) people will default to that rather than use neos, only one person has ever used neos for me because of that and it does make me tempted to remove they/them from my bio even though I’m comfortable with it. It makes it harder to test if I like new ones since no one uses them. There’s a ton more reasons that are kinda hard to articulate I don’t exactly have the word for them but I hope this helped!

Finally finished the colour!!! I'm personally a fan of messy lineart so i just kept the sketch, messed around with my typical shading style, not sure if i prefer it or not, definitely something to do more tests with.

Unfortunately one of the realest things I’ve heard. I draw my OCs a lot here (and on Pinterest) but I’ve only ever shared like fragments of the lore because I feel so silly about the small parts or they don’t make sense without [MAJOR SPOILERS] so I feel cringe in private.

I’ll keep all my OCs close, and then one day I’ll die.

You know that one book that you’re writing/reading and you really like it, and someone asks you about it, but then you can’t answer because even though it’s totally fire, it sounds weird/stupid/cringe when you actually describe it out loud?
