Dear lovers of all things gloomy, we have some great news for you.

We are very pleased to announce our cooperation with Damien Done.

If your track record goes back to the nineties, as is the case for most of us here at Hypertension, Damien Moyal's name probably rings a bell. He fronted bands like Culture, Shai Hulud, Morning Again and As Friends Rust.

Damien Done is a solo effort (with backing band) exploring the dark side of pop music, along the tracks laid by the likes of Danzig, Iggy Pop and Billy Idol.

We're releasing a European Limited Vinyl version of the first full length: Charm Offensive. The LP will be supported live during a European Tour in August, including an Ieperfest appearance.

Our limited version will include a cover of Killing Joke's "Primitive" on the download card.

Pre-orders will start end of June.

The pre-order only packages will be pressed on purple vinyl and special editions done by Le 7oeil will be available at that time as well.

Cocaine Piss - Sex Weirdos 7" up for pre-order

2016 will be the year of the piss! A few weeks ago Cocaine Piss journeyed to Chicago to record their first full length at Electrical Audio where Steve Albini helped them put 14 short and catchy outbursts to analog tape. Release date for the full length,is set for October 2016 but there’s no way we can contain all those rabid tracks until then.

This spring we will unleash two singles onto you. The 1st single, ‘Sex Weirdos’, erupts from its enclosure to come to a grinding halt 50 seconds later. We have reserved the B-sides for friends of the band who try their hand a Cocaine Piss songs. For the first one, they are: - Mauro Pawlowski and Legends. Lay-out by Dennis Tyfus

COCAINE PISS STUDIO DIARY - DAY 4

Hey guys, here's our final diary.Happy and sad at the same time. I wish it lasted forever. Bisous!------

This is the end.

We did it. Mixing is now done. Our record is ready, and will be sent to mastering tomorrow morning.

My head is still spinning. We spent most of the day listening over and over again to the record. I can't stop singing my own lyrics, which feels a bit weird, but satisfying. I can't believe I had the chance to be part of this.

I am exhausted, and profoundly happy. Maybe this is how people feel after running a marathon? I love our album, and I enjoyed every second of the process. I learned so fucking much these past few days. Not only on music, but on how to do things.

When I grow up, I want to be like Steve Albini.

COCAINE PISS STUDIO DIARY - DAY 3

Hey guys, here's day 3. Can't believe we're almost done here. Bisous

Today, we finished recording the instruments and vocals for all the songs. We just have some minor fixes to do, and mixing the whole thing tomorrow.

I really want to take some time here to describe my personal experience with recording vocals with Steve. Saying I was nervous is a fucking understatement. I woke up at 6 this morning, and my hands were already shaking. The few hours we use to finish recording the instruments seem like they lasted forever. This moment I have been anticipating for months now was so damn close. And then, we started, and it was actually the easiest thing ever. Steve is always calm. He doesn't take control over your record, but let you know when you did good. “That sounds good” is the best thing to hear after recording a song. And when you fuck up, he just says “wanna try it again?”. We all know the guy is a fucking icon, but he never makes you feel small.

What a day.

I don't feel like quoting Bon Jovi today. I just want to live when I'm alive.

COCAINE PISS STUDIO DIARY DAY 2 —————— Today was fabulous. We just finished the first day of actual recording, and I feel like a proud mother / pimp. I didn’t do much today, I’ve just been looking at my boys from the control room and damn, they were so fucking amazing. They managed to completely record instruments for 11 out of 14 songs, all that with the most lovely smile on their faces. It feels very satisfying to have accomplished so much in just one day – working with Steve is truly how you hope it is. Maybe I will try to describe it tomorrow, with a first hand experience. But for now, all I have to say is that we have mixed feelings toward Yannick’s current smell. I do personally really enjoy it, but some of us have been comparing it to a dying/dead animal at the zoo or a rotten fox. We now listen to Bon Jovi. When there’s nothing left to say, you just have to hold on to what you got. It doesn’t really matter if we make it or not. We got each other, and that’s a lot. We’re halfway there. Living on prayer. Oh, talking about heavenly stuff, I have to mention the Electrical Audio official beverage, aka the Fluffy. Half a liter of milk, coffee, cinnamon, and maybe nuts? Best thing ever, I don’t even know why I’m still having solid food after experiencing that. Alright, off to bed.

COCAINE PISS STUDIO DIARY STEVE ALBINI LOVES OUR BAND NAME! We arrived quite early at the studio today – around 1 pm. The feeling we got when we entered the place is a bit hard to explain, and, honestly, truly amazing. The whole neighborhood looks like it has been stuck in the 90's. Old cars, mud, a tiny bit of melted snow (which might explain the mud). The same goes for Electrical Audio. Everyone seems to be happily working all around us. The place is very warm, and cosy. VHS players, blankets, fresh coffee. We feel like we belong here. Its feels like the whole stupid spinning world doesn't exist anymore. People are recording music here, and that's it. No posing, no bullshit. We went to the local bar, and, after a few beers, came back to this place that already feels like home. But not your home of today, the one you remember from your childhood. And out of the blue, we met Steve. First thing he said: “Oh, Cocaine Piss, nice to meet you. You guys are the band with the best band name I have ever recorded, I've been looking forward to this recording session”. FUCK. I'm really trying to contain my tears and stomach here. The guy knows how to make people feel comfortable and welcome. I can't wait for the recording session to begin tomorrow.
