Klaus didn’t go to the gym often, but with the house being empty more lately he needed a healthy distraction. He knew several people who would disapprove of him beating up an innocent townsfolk, so maybe some punching bag would suffice. He was a little surprised that the first thing he saw when he entered the gym was Brennan and a flying bag. “Everything alright?”

Days off always made Brennan anxious. It felt weird not doing something productive and the day almost always ended up with Brennan with a bunch of bloodless bodies around him. Trying to keep his mind off of blood and the anxiety, the Avery decided to go to the gym. As he worked out, though, the thought of blood drove him crazy, knocking the bag clear from its hook.

“Yes, being trapped here is growing more and more annoying everyday. I wish someone would hurry up and figure out how to kill those bloody sirens.” Klaus gave a nod. “I’ve been alright. Keeping myself busy between teaching classes and working on some paintings.”

“Well, if we’re being technical, no.” Hayley clarified matter-of-factly, a trace of a playful grin curling onto her features as she found herself rolling her eyes. “Since when are you a gentleman?” She inquired teasingly, giving him a playful nudge as she started walking back towards the rest of town from the woods. 

“Very funny.” Klaus rolled his eyes back at her. “Oh, I have my moments.” He grinned, letting out a small laugh as she nudged him. “How have you been, Hayley?”

Klaus was in the middle of painting when he heard his phone ringing on a nearby table. He let out a small huff, annoyed that he was being interrupted, but when he saw the name on the screen he grinned a bit. “Stefan, this better be good. What can I do for you?”

Why did he even agree to teaching in the first place, maybe it was the fact that he’d been around so long that he probably knew history far more then half of Mystic Falls did. Sighing to himself Stefan left a note for Caroline before heading out to get some fresh air, he needed a break, he needed to clear his mind before it got fogged up with thoughts. He pulled his phone out of his pocket before dialing the number that he was certain he wouldn’t dial, but he was used to it by now, they were friends after all. He waited to see if Klaus would even answer. @hybrxdking

She herself had no clue what had happened, no clue what was going on, because really she was dead. But was she really dead, she didn’t know. Her body felt so weird and she knew something was different, something was wrong, and Lennox felt the bubbly girl that she was starting to slip away. But the blonde’s eyes fluttered open, seeing her fathers eyes, she knew somewhere in her body knew, something was wrong. “D-dad?”

Klaus felt her body suddenly awake. “Lennox.” He looked into her eyes. “Sweetheart, you’re going to be alright.” Klaus nodded softly. He’d stay strong for her sake. “How do you feel? Do you want to sit up?”

Flashback to two years

“Of course you can, uncle Nik.” Aria smiled opening up the gallery of photos on her camera. “I think I have few photos of you in there too.” She chuckled letting her uncle see it for himself.

“Hopefully you captured my good side? Oh, who am I kidding? All of my sides are good sides.” He joked before looking through her pictures. “Not bad.”

Klaus nodded. “Not to sound like that parent, but with the house being so empty lately I’ve been missing when you all were little.” He smiled. “Lead the way, littlest wolf.”

Klaus smiled. “We need to have more family gatherings. I can’t even remember the last time all my children were are all together at the house.” He often missed when his kids where younger. “Would you like to go grab something to eat?” 

�� we should definitely have more family gatherings, it’d be nice, ” hope stated with a nod, smile stretched across her lips. “ honestly, you should know by now that if food is involved, i’m always in, ” she commented with a grin, hopping up from her seat. “ come on, let’s get going – i’m actually starving. ”

Klaus had gone into the cafe for his normal breakfast for a beagle and coffee. Cooking wasn’t something he enjoyed doing often and with Camille being busy the only time Klaus at breakfast at home anymore was when Camden made something. He noticed his niece sitting alone, looking a little stressed. He decided to go over before ordering. “Hello, Skyler. Having a rough morning?”

Skylar felt the hairs on the back of her neck stand up, the pressure she kept feeling about trying to be a good vampire, wolf and witch, being a tribrid and Mikaelson she felt so much pressure. Sitting in her aunt’s building, Food for Thought, she sat at the corner table with her head bowed, her coffee in front of her and fingers pushed in her hair, trying to just keep herself calm and in control, keep herself from thinking of everything she’s done in life before she heard a voice, making she girl’s head perk up, forcing a smile on her face.
