“I don’t even remember the last time I dressed up. Maybe the last year we took Lennox trick or treating. Camille always likes to plan family costumes.”

“I guess. I just never understood why people in this town would choose to dress up as witches and vampires, we have plenty of those running around.” 

“Yeah, see that I can agree with you on. I’m more for the unique and original costumes, something nobody has seen before or a classic done with a new twist.”

Klaus nodded. “Not to sound like that parent, but with the house being so empty lately I’ve been missing when you all were little.” He smiled. “Lead the way, littlest wolf.”

Klaus smiled. “We need to have more family gatherings. I can’t even remember the last time all my children were are all together at the house.” He often missed when his kids where younger. “Would you like to go grab something to eat?” 

“ we should definitely have more family gatherings, it’d be nice, ” hope stated with a nod, smile stretched across her lips. “ honestly, you should know by now that if food is involved, i’m always in, ” she commented with a grin, hopping up from her seat. “ come on, let’s get going – i’m actually starving. ”

“I’m looking forward to that day.” Klaus said with a smirk. “The twins are getting big, huh? I haven’t seen them in awhile. I need to stop by, unannounced of course.” Klaus jokes. He had a habit of visiting his siblings whenever he felt like it.

“I think I’m afraid I already know the answer.” Klaus joked. “How have you been, brother?”

“Watch it brother one of these days I am going to surprise you.” He smirked softly. “I’ve been good, busy with the twins crawling about and all of that.”

“You’re not so bad yourself.” The hybrid teased. “Yes, it is. The town can get a bit crowded sometimes. Not surprising with how many people are stuck here. Those pesky little sirens either need to let people out soon or stop bringing people here.”

Klaus shook his head with a small laugh. “Are you calling me attractive, Katerina?” He joked. “Oh, please my personality is great. I was going for a little run of you must know. What are you doing out here?”

“ perhaps, ” katherine shrugged, a slight smirk appearing upon her lips. “ just be happy i didn’t refer to you as ugly. ” a laugh managed to escape the brunette’s lips as she eyed the other. “ it’s alright – but i don’t know that i’d say it’s great. i just needed some fresh air, i suppose. it’s much more peaceful walking in the forest as opposed to in town. ”

Klaus had been out for a walk when he suddenly felt someone bump into him. “Aira, don’t worry about it.” He looked at her camera. “Taking pictures?”

Taking a walk around town with her favorite camera in her hand, Aria was trying to find some inspiration for the task she was given the day before during one of her lessons on college. As she saw an elderly couple being all endearing, the brunette took her camera and moved it closer to her face to try and get the best shot she could from this distance, capturing not only the lovely couple but their surrounding. Wanting to get a picture from another angle the girl took few steps to her right before bumping into someone. “Sorry!” She apologized before she turned to take a look at the one she stumbled into.

“What can I say, it’s more fun to break the rules.” Klaus smirked as he watched her finish up. “Let’s get out of here then, love. Where would you like to go? The night is ours.”

“Oh, you know I’ve never been one to follow rules.” The hybrid said walking right in the center of the crime scene. “I came to see if I could steal you away once you’re finished up here.” Klaus hasn’t seen much of his wife lately, and he missed her.

a light smirk rose upon cami’s lips at the sound of her husband’s voice, she turned around and walked towards him, her firm hand tugging at his before turning to look at him. she listened intently and couldn’t help but laugh at his words. “ –– – yes , i’m painfully aware of your inability for obedience. ” she nodded once and excused himself from her husband, giving the notepad to one of her colleagues and taking one last look at the body before returning to klaus. “ i’m officially a free woman – –– one murder mystery is enough to get me going. i’m hungry. ”

“Honestly, I didn’t realize it was you. I hate to admit that I wasn’t paying enough attention.” Klaus shrugged. “Yes, I’m sure it will get cold and snowy again before winter is over.”

“Please, do.” Klaus said as he pulled his shirt over his head. “It would really be convenient actually. Glad to know you weren’t spying. It is a nice day for a walk isn’t it?” 

  “I’ll get on that then.” He chuckled, “Why would I spy on you anyway, Uncle Nik? You’re family.” He asked with a grin before nodding. “Yeah, the weather’s been really nice for the past few days. Enjoying it as much as I can before it decides to change on us.” He laughed.

Klaus let out a small laugh. “Other than this little run in, how are you?”

“Uh, well on the bright side I doubt she’d make you pay her.” 

“Well, I hope not, since I’m just a victim in this situation.”

Klaus nodded. “Perhaps I was. Still, I like to be better aware of my surroundings. Anyway, how have you been?”

hybrxdking:

“Christopher, I apologize. Hadn’t realize it was you.” Klaus shrugged on his jacket. “I think I’m slacking on sensing who is around me.” 

“It’s alright, uncle Klaus. Not a problem at all.” Christopher stated with a small smile. “Ah, perhaps you were simply distracted. Happens to me a lot.” Granted he wasn’t a thousand year old Original Hybrid, but he figured it could happen to anyone.

Klaus let out a laugh. “I may technically be part animal, but you really think I’d just pee out in the open?” She knew how to push his buttons well. “You are one of the few people who can push my buttons and get away with it, so consider yourself lucky.” The hybrid smiled at her. “You want to get out of here? We can go grad a drink or something.”

“These woods can be dangerous, you never know what sort of creatures are hiding out here.” He joked, knowing full well she was on of the strongest people in town. “What? A wolf can’t decided to go for a run in his natural environment?” 

“I’m pretty sure two of the most dangerous things that could even potentially be lurking around these woods are standing right here.” Hayley pointed out with a trace of a grin on her features, looking at him with slightly amused features. It was safe to say that they were the big bad wolves and her words weren’t untrue, in all honesty. “You could have been using that tree as a portable urinal or collecting flowers for paint. I actually don’t care what you’re doing out here, believe it or not. I just figured I’d give you a hard time and question you since you questioned me. What can I say? Pressing your buttons and challenging you is one of my specialities.”

“So, what bring you out to this part of the woods?”

“See, I knew it.” Klaus joked. “I thought I was far enough out in the woods to be alone, I see I was wrong.” 

mj shook her head , smiling gently . “ obviously. “ it was always an odd feeling seeing people in the middle of the woods with nobody around .

“I think I’m afraid I already know the answer.” Klaus joked. “How have you been, brother?”

“You think you’ll ever stop being so uptight?” The hybrid teased. “Hm, fine. I won’t terrorize them too harshly.” 

“Guess you will have to stick around for another century to figure out that question now won’t you?” He questioned his brother as he laughed softly. “I am sure you will, I wouldn’t expect anything less from you Niklaus.”

Klaus rolled his eyes. “Oh, come now I’m not that bad am I?” The hybrid asked as he finished dressing. 

“ you may not be entirely horrible to look at – but that personality of yours could still use some work, ” katherine stated, rolling her eyes as she moved past the hybrid. “ what are you doing out here anyway? ”

“Oh, Elena, I was only joking. You do know how to have a laugh don’t you?” He teased before throwing on his jacket and going over to the woman. “You should be careful running through the woods, never know who you’ll find out here.”

Klaus couldn’t remember the last time he took a run in his wolf form. He knew it would clear his head, so the hybrid had spent the majority of his afternoon running as fast as he could through the woods. He was testing his speed and strength, pushing his limits in the cool air. When he shifted back it took him a moment to catch his breath. As he pulled on his jeans he heard a twig snap behind him. “Are you trying to spy on me?”

“Well, good. I don’t like being spied on.” The hybrid threw on his shirt and jacket and walked over the guy. “An artist, huh? I happen to consider myself an artist as well. There are some great spots out here.”
