Okay imma be nice this time and actually give ya’ll a sneak peak with a quote from the Soyona fic cuz I just finished the first half of it 🤑

She spent everyday, even after Soyona had been born, thanking the gods, knelt at the shrine in her home for giving her the daughter she’s begged for time and time again.

Even if the first time she���d see her daughter in years would be in shackles.

Thinking about the fact that Soyona was probably using her art to launder the money from her business. Lot of angst potential there.

Like think about it. It already colors every other aspect of her life. It consumes basically all of her time. Maybe she told herself that this was her one thing that would remain untouched by it. It was the only thing that kept her tethered to humanity. But at a certain point she couldn't just funnel it into offshore bank accounts anymore. People were starting to get suspicious. So she had to make a choice, to risk getting caught and losing everything she'd built, or to be utterly consumed by it. In the end, she chose the latter, effectively giving up the only thing that reminded her she was still human.

Some raptormoms headcanons (together and separately)

other people are doing these and i wanted to add my own for fun, no particular order for these and this may be a bit long

• Both of them aren’t really open about their relationship and rarely participate in pda, behind closed doors they act a lot more like a couple (an odd one but the thought counts)

• The Handler is an incredibly quiet person and rarely if ever talks, the only ones she’ll say more than a sentence to are Soyona and the raptors but it still isn’t much

• The Handler moves quietly too, sneaking up on people intentionally and unintentionally, she ends up freaking Soyona out a lot because she’ll turn around sometimes and the Handler is just there watching what she’s doing from right behind her (Soyona yelped the first time this happened but she refuses to admit it)

• A lot of Soyona’s paintings are of the Handler or related to her in some way

• The Handler mainly uses ASL to communicate, but most of the time she just doesn’t communicate

• Out of the two, Soyona is the more touchy one, she will always in some way have a hand on the Handler (ha) or she’s pressed against the Handler

• Soyona is barely eye level with the Handler when she’s in heels, and even then she’s still an inch or so shorter

• The odd behaviors that the Handler has that people usually find uncomfortable Soyona finds endearing or cute, staring too long being one or tilting her head at her, Soyona sometimes mimics her behaviors to see what she does, the Handler usually ends up flustered

• Soyona likes to tease and overly flirt with the Handler to get a reaction, most of the time she won’t receive one and finds it rewarding when she does as the Handler also makes a show not to react, they both find it fun

• Soyona is Not a morning person, the Handler on the other hand wakes up incredibly early either due to her own volition or because of the raptors (they’re basically the “i want to see you wake up everyday” “i wake up at 4:30” “i want to see you at some point every day” meme)

• They can comfortably cuddle at night in the summer because of how naturally cold the Handler is

• The Handler uses her weirdness as a defense sometimes to keep others away, she doesn’t like interacting with people, however Soyona likes her weirdness (freak) and for the longest time the Handler didn’t know how to deal with it, it still confuses her but she’s gotten used it once they started dating

• Soyona likes to paint on the Handler and will paint little constellations with her freckles

• Soyona likes to lightly rake her nails against the back of the Handlers neck because of the reaction she gets out of her

• This one is really just for fun and incredibly self indulgent, but my headcanoned name for the Handler is Edith Campbell and the only reason is because i headcanon her as Scottish with a deep accent because it’s funny

• Soyona originally wanted to be a paleontologist but due to unforeseen issues in her family she instead went into business, and things snowballed into the events of the show

• The Handler can actually whistle on her own but it isn’t that good or that loud (really just meaning she couldn’t whistle a tune without it sounding super off) she could still give the raptors commands but she can’t be that far away

• The Handler has a super deep voice, startled Brooklynn the first time she heard it soyona really liked it though

• The handler has lost a lot of uniforms because the raptors will accidentally tear off pieces when playing

• Soyona is a blanket hog and throughout the night will take more of the blanket in her sleep, the Handler will usually wake up in the morning completely uncovered

I think I remember at one point doing the best math I could to try and figure out Handler’s height and I BELIEVE she is around 5'10-5'11"... man
