After the ao3 ship stats came out everyone started hating on hp again because it dominated the top stats and idk whether to feel guilty or proud. like hp fans are dedicated and so intelligent, but we also keep jkr relevant and it's making me pretty reconsider. I will always read hp fanfics, but idk if I should keep talking about hp

I reckon the real issue with the Tomarry fandom is that they're obviously jealous of ships that are in the books and actually make sense. Saying some of them exclusively hate female characters might be a stretch, but it wouldn't be wrong in most cases either lmao.

You seem jealous of Tomarry, which makes sense. It's a more intelligent and richer ship than Hinny, or fanon ships, and elevates its characters more, respectively. Both Voldemort and Harry shine in this ship in a way other ships usually don’t make them shine. If you ship these characters with someone else, it makes sense you would create this non sense projection argument and treat an mlm shipper as if they 'hate women'. It's a typical tactic used by homophobes (and oftentimes misogynists who hate fujoshis) to undermine an mlm ship and shame real women.
