It's me, the anon who asked what inspired you, I actually follow DBI since it's early days BC I follow Vertical lit since chapter 7 (i think).

The first time I read DBI I went feral looking for a similar vibe kind of story and found "The first step of kintsugi" and have already read (but gave a reread) to imimitable and Supercut.

Most of them is Spidey and new Yorkers, a lot of them do treat with big issues of the irl world, and they might not be the same vibe as the fics you mentioned nor as DBI but I do think they are great and you may enjoy them lots

I just need to know what things inspire you to write "Death before inaction", like, a bagel? A song? A TV show? A character (that's not Peter parker)? Hate? Love? The sudden urge to put our boy Peter Parker in Situations ™? The fic? Another fic? A tag? Or it just happens?

In all seriousness, I'm just really unwell about Peter Parker. There are a couple fic recs I've done in the past that feature some of my favorite Spider-Man fics, but off the top of my head:

The first and last ones were definitely BIG inspirations and are some of my favorite Spider-Man fics. the first step of kintsugi kind of has similar ideas about independent peter, i just take it a LOT further. And the entire supercut series is a masterpiece and where i moved Peter's timeline forward, they moved it a bit back.
