She wants to thrust her foot fast  ,  she wants to make her mom’s shadow to have the same look of fear that she has had on face multiple times before  .  Quickly she stops when she sees a smirk planted on her mother’s face instead of a scared look  .  She feels her throat tighten  ,  everything feelings like it’s caving in on her at this very moment  .  They say revenge is so sweet  ( or something like that )  ,  however this felt nothing even close to that sweet feeling  .  If anything  ,  continuing this current mannerisms that is so similar to her mother would only prove what the shadow said earlier  .  She doesn’t know what to do  ,  saying she’d make her mother rue the day for all the abuse  ,  but this wasn’t the way to go about it  .  ( Still  ,  she doesn’t  know what to do now after putting on such a front to show up her mother )  .  And now she’ll only look more weak to her mother  .

She turns her head away  ,  ashamed of herself yet still not knowing what to go about doing now  .  She swallows down the huge lump forming in her throat  ,  and she tries to make sure the waterworks don’t come into play  .  Her eye however catches a glimpse of the other  ,  they all wait patiently to see what she’ll do  ,  obviously giving her the option to do whatever she wants at this point in time  .  None of them have a judgmental look though  ,  all gazes on her were soft and understanding  .  Suddenly  ,  her gaze is fixated on JOKER and he’s giving her a look  ,  one that tells her she’s stronger than this  .  ( The only reason she became so strong as HOUND though was because of him and the others being beside her ever since her persona awakening  )  .  

Sucking in a deep breath  ,  finally having the courage to make a move  ,  her foot quickly hits the wall with a surprisingly loud thud  .  ❛  I already told you  .  .  .  I’m nothing like you  .  There’s no ‘like mother like daughter’ bullshit here  .  Now  ,  get the fuck up and return to your real self  ,  because it’s time for you to atone for all the horrible stuff you did  .  ❜  Without a moment to lose  ,  she turns on her heel and starts to walk away  .

Okay,   but   while   I   saw   food   getting   mentioned   on   the   dash   /   not   being   fed   by   caregivers,   Akane   doesn’t   really   feed   Natsuki   whenever   she’s   home.   She   doesn’t   really   care   much   about   Natsuki’s   well   being,   and   she   one   hundred   percent   believes   Natsuki   doesn’t   care   for   herself   at   all   either,   so   she   sees   it   as   “what’s   the     point   of   taking   care   of   this   stupid   child.”    She’ll   make   food   for   herself,   and   will   even   eat   it   in   front   of   Natsuki   if   they   both   happen   to   be   home,   but   she   absolutely   will   never   feed   the   poor   child.

This’ll be a small headcanon since everyone is going to sleep??? but, I don’t make it a secret that Natsuki hates herself and she, on multiple occasions, has tried to commit suicide. But, the very first time she tries to, her mother is the one that meets her at the hospital. Natsuki of course thinks her mother would absolutely care for her once again, and that she has made her first step to fixing her family. However, like those expectations vs reality meme, her mother actually is upset, but not for the reasons you’d think??? Her mother is more upset that Natsuki’s “useless” act ruined her date atm. And afterwards she mumbles (but makes sure she says it loud enough so Natsuki can hear) that she wished her “her useless and disappointing daughter would just drop dead.”
