Hi, I made this fanart based on an idea I had for a fic where Harry finds the locket when he's a kid (and he already meets Ron, who's now worried) I know it's not the best art, but in my defense I drew this in ibis paint with my fingers, I don't know how to use tools to make it better

Did you guys remember that fanfic where Tom does a really complicated ritual with blood at noon but Harry shows up and Tom assumes they're soulmates? Well, I don't remember the name, does anyone?

Let's count the connections that Harry and Voldemort have in canon
1- Destiny: A prophecy binds them together saying that they cannot live while the other survives and that one will be marked by the other.
2- Sister wands: rare phenomenon when a phoenix gives more than one feather for wands. And that adds magical connection (3).
4- Horcrux: Harry has kept Voldemort's soul inside himself all his life and has lived perfectly well like that (until he enters the wizarding world, then it hurts) He is an anchor for Voldemort
5- Blood: Voldemort has Harry's blood inside him, he is an anchor for Harry.
6- Family: They are distant cousins, after the Peverell brothers.
7- Eyes: They are complementary colors.
8- Life: Voldemort is a mirror villain, meaning he's like Harry, but at the same time he is everything Harry is not. Add points like; lonely childhood (9), orphans for as long as they can remember (10), bad experiences with muggles in childhood (11).
12- Parsel: In the whole saga they are the only ones who can speak the language, it is only between them two.
13: Physical: In the 2nd book Tom mentions that they look physically alike.
14: They were born on the same day (one in summer and the other in winter)
15: Dark Magic: Harry can do dark magic with ease and Voldemort realizes this in the order of the phoenix at the end.
16: Emotions: Harry in the books can tell how much Voldemort is angry or happy, we can't know Voldemort's point of view but maybe sometimes it went both ways.
17: Visions: Harry can have visions of things Voldemort is doing, but Voldemort can also send him false visions. We don't know, but perhaps Voldemort once saw through Harry's eyes as Harry saw through his.
18: Fear: Harry was not afraid of Voldemort, and what Voldemort was afraid of, Harry respected. Voldemort couldn't think of dying, but Harry thought that dying could be better than many other things.
19: Dying: This is never made clear to us, it's more of a theory, but Harry couldn't possibly die if he wasn't killed by Voldemort and Voldemort couldn't die if it wasn't for Harry. It is a theory of prophecy.
20: Feelings: Harry feels empathy for young Tom Riddle because they both had Hogwarts as their first home, he also thinks a lot about how beautiful he was and is horrified when he sees what Tom becomes in the memories.
21: Pain: Harry feels pain thanks to Voldemort, but we don't know if Voldemort can feel anything thanks to Harry.
22: Wandless Magic: Do we see Voldemort do wandless magic in canon? Yes and no, he could fly without a broom and that's enough to know (also, he did do wandless magic at will in the orphanage as a child). Harry, on the other hand, only does wandless magic once in the series (5th book) and he does it with ease.
23: They look like their fathers, but they have their mothers' eyes.
24: Enemies: They are enemies, like REALLY ENEMIES, that's appreciated.

Do you know why I don't think Severus loved Lily in a nice way? Because he asked for Lily to be left alive, but he didn't care how unhappy and miserable Lily was going to be living with her dead husband and one-year-and-three-month-old son. He only cared that she was alive.

I'm surprised by how many people confuse enemies to lovers with rivals to lovers. This gives me an excuse to categorize HP ships. First, for it to be enemies to lovers people must hate each other to the point of wishing death, being on different sides is not enough.
Albus Dumbledore/Gellert Grindelwald: friends to lovers to enemies (doubtful enemies)
Severus Snape/James Potter: rivals to lovers (Snape probably wanted James dead, but James didn't, James just teased Snape about stupid things, he didn't want him dead.)
Harry Potter/Draco Malfoy: rivals to lovers (Harry didn't even come close to bothering Draco, Draco was the one who had that enmity for fun, but neither he nor Harry wanted each other dead nor did they have any extreme disagreements.)
Hermione Granger/Draco Malfoy: rivals to lovers (They are canonically academic rivals and that is probably the only point in favor of this ship.)
Tom Riddle/Bellatrix Lestrange: Bro, this is master to slave.
Harry Potter/Tom Riddle: enemies to lovers (this don't need explanations, this is my favorite)
Severus Snape/Sirius Black: enemies to lovers (Sirius' hatred for Severus was not normal, Sirius actually found the idea of REMUS killing/hurting Snape funny.)
Harry Potter/Cedric Diggory: friends to lovers (They were friends but at the same time they weren't, it clearly works better in fanfics where Cedric doesn't die)
Harry Potter/Ronald Weasley: friends to lovers (cute)
Harry Potter/Ginevra Weasley: friends to lovers (It's okay, although I wish it was just a summer-school romance, it would have been perfect.)
Hermione Granger/Ron Weasley: friends to lovers (cute, but they need couples therapy)
Remus Lupin/Nymphadora Tonks: friends to lovers (I personally like this couple and I think people should understand that if we didn't see their development it's because the books aren't romance and they're all from Harry's perspective.)
Remus Lupin/Sirius Black: friends to lovers (I really don't like it because of the huge distrust they have in the canon, but I think if they had something it would have been just for fun.)
James Potter/Lily Potter: I don't know how to categorize this, because they weren't friends, they started dating because James had already changed enough for Lily to not feel bad about herself accepting him. It's cute, tho. I like them.
James Potter/Sirius Black: friends to lovers ( I like this one, because it would make more sense how obsessed Sirius was with the memory of James. And the fact that they were EVERYTHING to each other is very beautiful.)
Mary McDonald/Lily Evans: friends to lovers (It's nice 👍🏻)
Luna Lovegood/Ginevra Weasley: friends to lovers (I LOVE THIS ONE)

Can we talk about how a lot of the props in the Harry Potter movies were ugly? Many important elements were done poorly. Like the Hufflepuff cup looking like plastic or the locket (being silver and half transparent when it was supposed to be gold with an S in emeralds, I mean, it doesn't have to have the emeralds but couldn't you just make it gold?) And not to mention the wands, Harry and Tom apart from being the hero and the villain had a wand bond (and they made both horrible XD)

Can we talk about James always being the backbone of the Marauders? Sirius's best friend was James, Remus's best friend was James and Peter's best friend WAS JAMES

You know something I find really funny about James? He makes fun of the weaknesses of people he doesn't like, but it's not because they have those weaknesses, he just makes fun of them because he doesn't like them. For example, he could make fun of Severus' ugly clothes, but never of Remus' ugly clothes (if Remus had ugly clothes, that's just an example). He would mock Severus for complaining, but if Sirius complained he would be looking for resolve his complaints. Teen James would always be a sun ONLY with the people he loved.
