Why the SiD theory is stupid...

The biggest reason(s) I don't support the SiD theory and find it to be completely ludicrous: 1) Squall is going to put the girl whom annoys him more than anything in the world as his girlfriend? No. That’s bullshit. No one does that, especially Squall. 2) Squall is going to say a "moron" is his father? No again. No way. That doesn’t even make any sense. Who wants to have a family so badly that they imagine someone they consider an idiot to be their father, of all people? Are you kidding me on this one...? 3) Squall is going to place a woman he remembers NOTHING about and only knows to be evil as his foster mother? WTF? I seriously don’t think this was even considered by whomever came up with this theory. 4) Squall can create such an intricate world, in vivid detail, in a matter of moments as his brain is dying? ...Don't expect me to buy that. We’re talking about Squall Leonhart. He isn’t exactly known for his imagination, and he certainly wouldn’t start to use it in his final moments.

5) How do the “dream sequences” with Laguna and co. keep happening after Disc 1? So now, not only can Squall create an entire world in moments as he’s dying...but he can also create another world WITHIN that world as he’s dying. ...Right... That’s the biggest load of crock I’ve ever heard.

6) There is no evidence. This is crucial. This whole theory is based on Squall having no wound at the start of Disc 2 -- but this is a HORRIBLY weak basis given that it is a video game, based in fantasy, with magic as a major element. To believe someone died when there are a million ways to have survived such an attack, is a ridiculous concept -- especially when people have survived far worse in real life. 

7) Kitase already said “No. That is not true.” This speaks volumes of its credibility. Arguing with this notion is like arguing with the artist of a painting and calling them an idiot, claiming they don’t know what they’re talking about. Because everyone knows the artist doesn’t know their own work... -_- Let it go. It was already debunked and holds no merit, no matter how you spin it.

I basically just took the original meme and redid it a little.xD Believe it or not, I do like Cloud. I just like Squall more -- and I don’t fail to overlook certain aspects just because of bias. Materia is magic in Final Fantasy VII and makes the party physically weaker as well as dropping their max HP the more you have. However, in Final Fantasy VIII, it does exactly the opposite: increases all stats, including HP, Strength, and Magic -- the three attributes Materia affects most -- and IMPROVES all of them.  Basically, Materia must be used strategically to affect stats as desired, whereas Magic can be used freely and only boosts them.

Superman vs. Cloud Strife

I am so sick of people treating Cloud like he’s invincible -- he’s not! The Mako may make him super-strong and whatnot, but he’s not undefeatable. Zack Fair had Mako infused cells -- he still died. Why shouldn’t Cloud be able to? He can bleed -- so he can die.

Superman can die too, yes. But it takes WAY more to kill him than it would Cloud any day. I’m so sick of people hyping Cloud up to be something he’s not. Despite the Mako, he’s still human. If Zack can die, so can Cloud. His limits are the same as Zack’s.

Get off your high horse, and let it go.

Squall is one of the most overlooked protagonists in Final Fantasy, and I think most of that stems from people simply not having played FFVIII. That...or they didn’t play the game long enough to actually get to know the character. You can sit through hours of Lightning berating her companions, but you can’t stand Squall “whining” in his head? The SeeD exam happens before he even does any of that, too. How do people forget this particular event?

Newsflash: if you have only ever played one Final Fantasy title and you call yourself a “Final Fantasy fan” -- you’re not. You’re just a fan of THAT title, and that’s where the problem lies.

If the shoe fits...

Believe it or not, I actually like Cloud. But this is for the FFVII fans whom seem to think the character is flawless and ignore all the things he has done wrong -- while managing to point out EVERY FLAW with all other Final Fantasy protagonists. Cloud isn’t perfect either -- sorry.
