Finally designed my Shadows OC! This is Chomper, and he’s mainly good at missions based in cold climates. He’s versatile though, and works well anywhere. His specialty is snow and stakeouts, and he takes care of training recruits for those types of missions. The ones where your environment is just as dangerous as your target. He’s perpetually exhausted, built like a brick wall, and absolutely rabid when pushed too far. More rambling under the cut.

I love this guy so much I’m about to dump info on him.

ok, so Jamie “Chomper” McCoy. He’s a southerner, Texas raised, but moved to Alaska sometime during high school and fell in love with the cold. He’s adaptable, and a survivor. He lived mostly off grid and on his own after high school, surviving the winters of Alaska on his own. His resourcefulness is what led him to the army, and then to the special missions division of the Shadows. He’s almost always fully covered, and tries not to go anywhere without his red tinted snow goggles. He got the name Chomper from a messy mission where him and some of his teammates were captured and separated. With his arms tied behind his back, a broken leg, and no weapons, Chomper resorted to taking out his captor in the only way he could. He head-butted them back and tore their throat out with his teeth. They bled out and he escaped, clearing almost half the building and rescuing three of five teammates mostly on his own with a stolen knife. I’m sure having the door slammed open and seeing a man built like a brick wall with blood dripping down his face from his mouth staring you down is not a fun sight. His teammates got his the mask with teeth on it as a joke, but he loves it and wears it as much as he can.

also you can’t tell because of the image crop, but he’s got boots with snow spikes in them. It makes gaining traction easier, and also turns his shoes into good weapons for stomping.

I love him so much, so this is not the last anyone will see of him.

Jamie 'Chomper' McCoy, or just Chomper, sustained a pretty bad leg injury from an explosive a mission or so ago. He never takes pain meds due to a fear of being seen as weak or becoming dependent but he just had to this time. He tried to get out of bed to go to the range and burn off the feelings he was having and just went down. He decides to just stay there on the floor and fell asleep texting the SC group chat updates. Love his dumb ass.

I haven't posted something COD related in a while- Sooooo *Throws this in your face* I know a lot of people see Graves as this macho American who's cocky as shit and yes, He is and Americans are some bitchy mf (Except Graves, I love his bbg ass) But can we see another side too? Like, I wanna see Graves cry. I wanna see more shit on him breaking down and sobbing because a lot of men have unresolved trauma and are forced to be "Macho" and "Manly" Nah, Give me Graves crying after a mission over all the men and women he's lost Give me Graves not being able to keep it together long enough to write the "I regret to inform you" Letts back home Give me Graves who provides free counseling to all his soldiers and personally goes to all of their funerals and comforts their spouses and tells stories to their kids This man know each soldier inside in out and loves him like his own kids. Yes, He's loud and his confidence can be seen as cocky but fuck so are a lot of Americans and he has MAJOR big brother energy. I wanna see Graves say no to someone having shotgun because "No Oliver, Everytime you get the AUX cord you play some country shit. Give it to Violet, I want to hear some Taylor Swift" Yeah he'd probably do shots with them and no one would feel the need to sneak out because Graves is more than happy to throw them a party. Anything to keep them happy, He knows what their type of work does to a person. Graves has one of the lowest out of service su*cide rates out of any other faction and you can FIGHT me on this. He'll personally go to someone's house or sit on call with them for hours if they express not feeling so well and he makes sure everyone has a place to live already paid for. Graves knows he has money and he uses it to help others and give his Shadows a good life.
