credit to AbnormalAmanda_18 on TikTok but basically sliding door is a film where they explore 2 potential timelines. One where a character made choice A and one where a character made choice B.

So far it's not much more than speculation but if you go watch their videos it certainly interesting to think about.

except the buck who eddie would meet now isn't a jealous kid worried about one upping the new guy. this version of buck would know that that lurching feeling in the pit of his stomach wasn't jealousy at all. this buck has examined and acted upon his attraction to men and would sure as shit recognise attraction when he felt it.

additionally this buck wouldn't be coming to that realisation with the weight of a years long platonic relationship that he couldn't risk upsetting. he wouldn't have the responsibility of maintaining stability for a kid he's been coparenting. he'd be absolutely free to act on his attraction.

the people who insist that the A in LGBTQIA+ stands for ally are so silly to me. you don't need to be in the acronym because you're not queer. that doesn't mean that you can't still be a good ally or call yourself one it just means that that acronym is about a community that you don't belong to.

imagine if white people started insisting that the c in bipoc also stood for caucasian as well as colour because they supported bipoc people and felt left out. i think people would justifiably point out that that is absolute nonsense.

the only real mistake supernatural made was burying their gays AFTER they came out. 9-1-1 made sure to kill buck well before he was confirmed bi so they didn't have that problem.

I literally know nothing about the man so I couldn't possibly speculate. Nor would I wish to. It doesn't matter if he's queer, all that matters is that he is handling his potrayal of a queer character respectfully and thus far he's been doing that perfectly.

I'd like to take this as an opportunity to ask everyone not to speculate about actor's sexualities. Especially based on the characters they play. We all saw what happened with Kit Connor and I would hope that would be a lesson but it seems like it hasn't quite sunk in with some of you.

Go off with speculation about the characters but when it comes to the actors it's none of our business unless they explicitly choose to make it our business.
